The royal chocolate cake is soooo good it should be classified as the 8th deadly sin. Just know it is not cake-like, but rather like a light, melt-in-your mouth chilled mousse. The apple tart was yummy too. I also thoroughly enjoyed the red pepper and gouda soup. This place is a gem. The owners are from France and make these delectable treats, as well as their baguettes and rustic breads in an authentic French way. From out of town. Wanted some fresh pastries and coffee. Walked into this quaint little bakery. Had a nice, fresh & warm baguette with some coffee. The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and informative. Made some suggestions and sold me on the apple tart. What a nice find! So delicious and nice service. Love the selection of breads - so fresh. Coffee was rich and perfect temperature and served in a cup and saucer. We our fortunate to have this fine bakery in a Pahrump . We originate from San Francisco and that sourdough cannot be duplicated. Their bread is the finest we have had. My dad went into the bakery the morning of my birthday to ask if they had a tiramisu cake available. They did not but told him they could have one by 3:00 pm. It was absolutely perfect, delicious, and the customer service is the best. This is the second time we've been in the shop and both times everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Small place in a tiny city but GREAT pastries. Get the almond and chocolate croissants - get a tart - get an ANYTHING because it is all so delicious. I was in Pahrump (1 hour from Las Vegas) for the first time to attend the Pahrump Balloon Festival, and now I'm trying to make up excuses to drive all the way there and back for another almond croissant at least. I love the quiches, the breads, the pastries... It's clear they make almost everything from scratch, no box mixes here! The only quibble I've ever had is their whipped cream often tastes a bit stale or metallic in things like fruit crepes and cream puffs (ETA: though as of a month later the issue seems to have been worked out? The strawberry crepe I had was incredible and perfect). It's kind of on the expensive side, but I think it's well worth it for the quality of their breads and pastries. We almost always spend in excess of $40 when we go in and have tasty treats for days. We'll keep going back! read more

My family and I were in town to visit Death Valley over the weekend and before we made our trip to the park, we stopped at O Happy Bread. The bread looked delicious, so my mom and I settled on splitting the Saucisson sandwich because we were hungry. We got it and without looking my mom took a bite, started chewing, and spit it out. She asked my stepdad to look at the sandwich to ask if something looked off. My stepdad and I looked at the meat, tasted it, and yep, it was bad. Not only bad, but almost rancid. We got the attention of one of the men behind the counter and told him to get rid of that batch of salami and not sell it to anyone as it has gone bad. He was super apologetic and offered to get us another sandwich. The second sandwich was much better. Just to be clear, I'm writing this review just to ask that the bakery makes sure that they pay attention to the meats they serve in their sandwiches. Don't serve gray, sour-smelling salami, please! read more

I made the mistake of purchasing sourdough bread and other bakery products. I think the prices were too high. The products were overcooked, the yeast had not risen enough and were stale. Yet I purchased supposedly fresh baked products. I will never go there again and I do not know how they stay open. read more
