That is custom, that is tradition and for most it meant to inject fun into life. In my opinion, what maximizes the fun is when a person quips or puns using their custom as fodder for the joke. For instance, on one Halloween. I called my insurance and the person on the phone told me that she was dressed as cat. At the end of the conversation, I was meant to rate her and I said do not worry your service was "purrr-fect." How long have you been waiting to say that joke? She replied. Since the moment she told me she was cat. So when I played and partied with sailors and marines I expected for similar jokes to be made since, in a way, they were in uniform/customs. Like when, me and another civilian played pool with two Sailors they introduced themselves as Diane and Scott, not Officer Sampson and Officer Aguilera. Then we just played a regular game of pool. They did not say things like, prepare for the onslaught of seafaring sailors. So I did not get a chance to say I will sink your battleship as I perfectly aligned my eight ball to a corner pocket. Basically, they were civilians in uniform they were not sailors playing pool. Makes sense, they were sailors on leave so their sea related puns must have stayed on board their ship. Regardless, the party experience with sailors and marines was fire in the hole. And this bar is one of the central places where the sailor party can be felt because San Pedro welcomes them once a year during Fleet Week. It is common sense but Sailors and Marines spend their time locked up, in a ship, or in base, or somewhere else. So when they step to land, the goal must be clear: party with restrained abandon. And this hope encompasses all around, so it is hard to not become a party animal. Imagine that they are the moon, and all around are party-wolves. When they rise, so do the party time howls. I can see this bar becoming a draw for partiers for a weekend. Some people may never come to Crimsin for their cocktails but I hope they come here for the sailors and marines. During this past Fleet Week, I bought a beer for a Marine named Thomas. He also did not say my name is Hightower or Olson or MacDonald when I asked for his name. He still accepted the beer and said thank you for the support. So I may not march in a parade supporting Marines, but still Thomas made me feel like paying for a Marine's drink was showing support for the freedoms that the armed warriors of this country provide. Yes, I know I did not run the SSO but still I was thanked for my support for a Marine. In the grand scheme of things, I accept his gratitude and trust that he meant his words. On a previous Fleet Week, me and a sailor both ordered from a bartender. The bartender ignored me and tended to the sailor. Makes sense, he was the guest of honor. And the sailor treated my drink too. Mad respect. And I hope it is the high seas that taught him to show respect to another for not all wars are won with missiles and bayonets. So the moment not only affords the right to party but it also affords the right to witness the evolution of military culture and how it has arrived to hold people with good values, a good heart, and compassion in their actions.

We came here on one of their new closed-event EDM nights to support a friend, and there are pros…read moreand cons (though I'd argue the pros do outweigh the cons). Pros: Intimate, nice screen visuals, staff are very nice, venue is very clean (especially compared to the og arena KTown), good music choice for target demographic (melodic/future bass), bar is quick and uncrowded. Cons: Rather small floor area, parking is insanely hard to find in front and you may have to find a paid lot or walk a bit more. Since they're in their "beta-testing" mode, there were not a lot of people there- but can't fault them for something out of their control. Overall, a lot of improvements in this iteration of arena over their OG location that is promising if they keep working on it. Reminds me a lot of Nova SD

If you were approached to host this club, please read this review and make an informed decision…read more I think Arena OC has potential, but upper management issues along with their systems and processes need attention to truly elevate the customer experience. I'm unsure but I feel like my party was robbed of our time and money... First, I want to highlight the excellent customer service provided by my bottle service attendant and the on-site manager. They genuinely went out of their way to accommodate my party, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Their dedication truly stood out and was one of the highlights of the evening. Last month, I had the opportunity to host an event at this nightclub. While the contacts I worked with were friendly, responsive, and professional, I was disappointed by the limitations placed on the bottle service attendant and the on-site manager. My party requested water and chasers for our drinks, but these were overlooked, leaving us to purchase drinks at the bar despite having a table. This completely defeats the purpose of bottle service and suggests possible understaffing. Arena OC provided me with a complimentary champagne bottle and a complimentary table for hosting. My party reserved an additional table and purchased two bottles. We intended to purchase a third, but it was unavailable--how does a club run out of bottles so early in the night, especially when I had communicated this preference well in advance? This lack of preparation speaks to poor management and planning. If the goal is to maximize revenue, wouldn't it make sense to stock more $40 bottles that can be sold at $520 each (including tax and tip)? It feels like upper management is more focused on cutting corners than maximizing profits. To make matters worse, we paid part of our table tab in cash and were promised change, but it never came. On a positive note, I appreciate that Arena OC upgraded my party's table and placed it side by side with the promo table. This thoughtful gesture showed attention to our needs, and I'm grateful for that. But, as I mentioned earlier, on-site employees are making up for the lack of care for customer service on behalf of upper management. The staff is doing their best to compensate for the shortcomings in management's approach, but it's clear that the real issue lies with the decision-makers at the top. Adding to the frustration, I still have not received my commission check over a month later. I followed up and provided my email address as requested, but I have not received any response since. This lack of communication is both unprofessional and unacceptable. Furthermore, I was told that I hadn't checked any names off the guest list, which is simply untrue. It's clear that management needs a more reliable system for tracking guest lists and ensuring accuracy. Out of the 20 people on my list, 14 showed up before the 11pm cut-off time, including 7 women--but I was told that none of them had been checked in. This discrepancy highlights a serious issue with how guest lists are managed. Hosts rely on sales from tables and guest list entries, and for both systems to be disorganized, it gives the impression that Arena OC needs to revisit their business model because they are not operating efficiently. Customer service, while commendable, is severely limited by how much on-site employees can compensate for management's desire to cut corners. Last but not least, they have on-site photographers but the photos from the event still have not been uploaded to their website for us to download and share. While the on-site staff's dedication is commendable, the club's operational and management issues severely overshadow their hard work and detract from the overall customer experience. Arena OC has potential, but for now, it's far from my top choice for nightlife in Orange County. TLDR; have not received commission for hosting, did not get change from payment, understaffed, understocked, inaccurate account of guest list. Business model needs improvement.

Review for NYE special event. I was not paid nor am I receiving any form of compensation to leave…read morethis review, and I paid my own way into the event. Honestly - the reviews scared me. I'm an almost 30 something going into an Irvine club on NYE known for things getting stolen, bouncers being weird, and expensive drinks. I had LOW expectations. However, my experience was quite the opposite! Arriving: It was raining when we arrived around 10:15pm, and there was no line to get in. Bouncers were kind and efficient. I do wish they searched bags though - I was not asked to open my bag, which was concerning because bad people tend to do bad things on holidays. Atmosphere: It's a dark and medium/small sized nightclub. They had it dressed up a hint for NYE, but it seemed pretty standard to how I've seen it in photos. They had an outdoor area, but there was no music and it was pouring rain. While there was a tent outside, it was just too wet to even go out. Bathrooms: There are two small restrooms with appx 4-5 stalls each. There is a very sweet bathroom attendant who provides hand towels. The restrooms were clean and mostly smelled good. Drinks: I bought the all you can drink package, and I was scared that they'd pour light / not have what I wanted / have a limited menu / be too busy and ignore me / etc. This was NOT my experience. The tenders poured well, the drinks tasted good, and there was a good selection. I was always taken care of quickly with waits of less than 5 minutes. Noted, I tipped well for each drink. TIP YOUR BARTENDERS! Music: Very top 40 with a little EDM sprinkled in. As a millennial, I enjoyed the mix. Yeah it was loud, it's a nightclub. Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. The bouncers even pulled out a guy who was literally falling over drunk onto other dancers. I thought they cared for the situation well and with grace. NYE Festivities: Honestly, there weren't many. The club looked a slight bit decorated, and the party favors that were promised with our ticket we're SO limited. Yes, they said while supplies last... but I swear they handed out less than 20 noise makers for the whole club. They also promised champagne showers throughout the night as well as a complimentary champagne toast for the whole club at midnight. Neither champagne option was followed through on. I was also promised two dance floors, and there was clearly only one available. Other things: Seems like there may be some deferred maintenance in the building. The roof was HELLA leaky near the bathroom. They used cones to block it off, but the floor was soaked. Overall, I had a nice time. I removed the star for the lack of follow through on the NYE specific things that were promised to me on my ticket that were not delivered. I also removed the star due to the roof leaking heavily. Other than that, I thought it was a safe, fun, and enjoyable way to spend NYE.

And no it was not…read moreinitially my idea to watch B.E. but my friend made me do so & he reallllly wanted to see her. Yeppp I ended up watching the entire season of B.E. Hence here we are! My friend booked online the day off the event for an Upper Level VIP Booth for $300 + tax/fees. We had a good time & of course with thanks to the alcohol too :) Music was not bad but I felt it was better towards the end of the night. Well, here's the quick run down --- Arrived by 10:45PM. No lines whatsoever & no hostess at the front. Just the security working out front & they walked us in to our VIP table. The main club room was at no more than 40% capacity but the smaller patio room was packed (more chill vibe, music was not my liking tho). We didn't get the Upper Level Booth cuz there were hardly anyone there that bought a VIP booth so they closed off all that section. So we were on the floor bout 3 tables away from the DJ booth. The choice of alcohol (priced at $300) we wanted was not available said our hostess. IMO - there was not a lot of bottle choices to begin with. So we had to pick something of a higher price & we ended up having to gett a decent bottle priced at $500. Otherwise if not, we all be having hangover the next day! Oh don't forgot that increase of bottle price doesn't include tax & gratuity, so will have to pay more than what was paid online. 3 lovely waitresses did come out with signs & bottle sparkles to our table. They were super sweet. We had water bottles & mixers. I forgot her name but our assigned waitress came to check on us through out the night & made our drinks as needed. Service was good. They also had 1 aerialist which seemed a bit outta place & unnecessary . DJ Kim Lee did not come on til 11:30PM and left by 12:30AM! Her set was a-ok but we made the best of it & enjoyed our time out. We almost stayed til the end but left around 1:30AM where there was practically no one on the dance floor. Few wore masks & most did not. So all I can stay there was plenty of room to dance all over the main room & no long lines waiting for drinks at the bar or even at the restroom!

Went to see ToBeHonest (the opener was better ngl) and I was having fun during the opener. Having hope and telling my friends they changed, the next event was Bonnie and Clyde. They packed the "dance floor" to the point ribs would get crushed for the next 1000 Ways to Die series. Bartenders so far are chill, but I only go to one guy and he deserves it. No offense to the others that I've yet to interact with. The bottle girls seem miserable, which sucks cause you'd think they'd be allowed to dance if it isn't busy, but maybe they're just burnt out? Who knows, but I get it. Time caters more to clubbing, whatever that is now, than dancing. The men just stand around, take up space, and expect a woman to fall onto them. Unless you really push for it, dancing isn't encouraged. You could get a table, but even then the energy around them felt off. Overall, there's a noticeable disconnect in the vibe. Security along with ticketing staff has been safe, consistent, and as long as you're nice they treat you the same or they push you along. It's a coin flip.
