First time here and we stared off a little rocky doors open after the time that was posted but the place is super cool. The bartender was amazing she helped me pick out a great mocktail and suggested others that I would also like. The energy and atmosphere were awesome great vibes. Had to wait 15 mintutes to close out my tab as bartenderess servered other people around me while i stared her down. I am genuinely livid, what the hell kind of customer service is this that i was staring her down while beung compleltely ignored while she was preparing 12 shots and again while helping people who came up way after me. I've been here a few times to see Betty's Mustache. The first time was ok. The drinks are reasonably priced and nothing special. I don't know that I would go back after this last time though. The band was great and we had so much fun but the security and management was a bit rude. Apparently there was also a cut off time to the guest list which wasn't communicated to anyone and not on the poster. This last time was the only time there was a crowd as well. The last few times there wasn't really a crowd. It's honestly not worth the 10 dollar cover. read more

They have karaoke at least 3 times a week, a pool tournament on Fridays and it's a great mix of people. It's a little of the beaten path by Pedro standards, but well worth the trip. I've been here only 5 times I believe and every time I come I have an amazing time the first time I met the bartender Amanda she was so nice sweet and her drinks are made to perfection! The bar tenders are awesome!always smiling and service is quick as possible and seem to care about the customers needs, sometimes it can get a little busy at times but they are pretty quick considering how packed it sometimes gets, The owner is amazing he is humble and kind! And these are the people who deserve good business! The ones who put their customers first! I've been coming to this place a few years now and I've yet to see any problems with customers or staff, everyone pretty much gets along and people who come are very respectful to one another! Fridays are great if you want to see live music and dance the night away, many different amazing bands! Man, where do I start? I came here wanting to try this place out because it's a local place for me, but I was extremely disappointed with the first interaction at the door to the end. we came here because there was a poster we seen that clearly stated that there was no cover charge before 9:00pm and the date as well. The lady at the door had an attitude with us. We showed her the flyer\poster that we had seen on FB and the lady said there was a mistake and we still had to pay. We insisted for it to be shown to the owner or manager and she said we still had to pay. Pretty SUCKY customer service. It wasn't our fault that there was a FALSE ADVERTISEMENT displayed!! The missus and I stopped in here last week after leaving a dinner gala hungry (for $250/seat, food wasn't that good). I would have thought given the number of mexican restaurants per capita in this town that it'd be easier to find one that was open, but noo, everything we passed was closed or just...gone. I remembered this place being open at odd hours so we drove past on our way back home. Hallelujah, they were open! We walked in wearing black tie attire but elicited scarcely a second glance from the patrons (surprisingly numerous considering it was nearly midnight). El Principe has a basic and predictable menu (burritos, tacos, tortas, etc.) with a good selection of meats in a steam tray. I chose my old stand-by, carne asada tacos, while my wife, who was in an especially grease-hankering mood, ordered a chorizo torta. Both were prepared to order (good, since chorizo that has been sitting out is GROSS) and served within a few minutes. The tacos were pretty good -- not amazing, but solid -- but the old lady scarfed up the torta like a lioness eating a chihuahua. The one bit I managed to sneak without losing a fingertip was FANTASTIC. It never fails to surprise me how many minor variances between restaurants you can find in a dish as simple as a torta. I should also mention that the gentleman who took our order was especially nice and courteous; maybe he was just relieved to see patrons other than drunkards from the Kan-Kan Room across the street.
