The problem was that my rental car was not blowing any air (AC) despite working earlier on my trip. The gentleman (think he was the owner) looked at/operated the controls and concluded that the blower motor was likely failing. He took the time out of his day to check this out for me for no charge. When I got the tire back, I noticed paint chipped off the rim, and there was something left inside the tire. They also charged $20, which would be reasonable if the work had been done cleanly--but it wasn't even balanced. Now I'll have to take it somewhere else to remove the debris inside the tire. It just felt like the job was rushed and not done with care. Wouldn't recommend for trailer tires based on this experience.

When I got there, they didn't have the exact battery on hand, but they got one on the way to the shop immediately and let me take up space for the 30 minutes it took to arrive. I took my Honda into Affordable Auto in February because I was leery about taking it to Bud Clary. All of the lights on the dashboard would light up and the car would go into limp mode intermittently. I showed them the Autozone print out stating that the throttle body needed to be replaced. They claimed it wasn't the throttle body, it was some other parts connected to the throttle body. I trusted them to complete necessary repairs. The repairs costed $2,000. Not even a week later the issue returned. I took it to Autozone again and it stated again that the throttle body was bad. I had already spent $2k that I couldn't afford and they said it might be a bad steering rack. I took it to Bud Clary and they replaced the throttle body and I haven't had an issue since.

Found that a bolt broke off my break caliber and was hanging off. Went over to the Lowe's to get the bolt and washer. Fixed it. When I asked how much. They said no charge. He responded, "That's not how we do business here." At that point, I said I would take my business elsewhere and walked out. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask a repair shop to work with you so that you don't have to leave your car there for more than a work day. The front desk person's inflexibility to even have that discussion was rude. I truly felt like they didn't want my business. I'd just had my car serviced for this trip & felt very prepared, however my "Check Tire" warning light came on after all the other frustrations we'd endured up to this point. We finally had to fill up for gas in Moses Lake and I planned to check my tires at the gas station. Pulled up to the air pump in deep snow, my gloves stained, my patience thinning, my fatigue increasing I imagined myself at this point clumsily fumbling through this process & ending up in a meltdown. ‍ I wondered... is there perhaps a Les Schwab in town who could check my tires? Thank you YELP! There is!! Drive up, and they look super busy. So I walk in & immediately a female employee cheerfully approaches the counter to ask how she can help me. I explained and asked if they might have time for me to pull around and have someone check my tires, and she said, of course! Relieved, I got back in the car and pulled down to one of their bays where someone was there to meet me. Super friendly and happy to help, the gentleman checked all my tires, and everything was good to go. Knowing that my car is a Honda CRV, and the warning light has to be manually turned off, he asked if I knew how to do that because it's tricky. I told him I couldn't remember, and not to worry about it. They've already been so helpful to me! He told me it was absolutely no trouble, and that he was happy to help. Unfortunately, it was even more tricky than he remembered, and he insisted upon getting a coworker to come fix it. These guys could not have been more friendly, competent, & happy to help, and it improved the quality of my trip so dramatically, solved my problem, and just made me so happy to be a repeat customer at Les Schwab. It's fantastic to know that I could go to a different Les Schwab and get the same great service, especially at a time when I was feeling concerned about the performance of my tires and stressed during my trip. We arrived at our destination, safely and have had zero problems with our tires since!! A+ job, Les Schwab!!
