This would be my only critique is to get more staff to take the orders. The menu is large with so many options so that is excellent for picky eaters. Parking is limited in the lot and can be difficult to find oven full so car pool. The decor is very neon thus making it look like a karaoke bar than a restaurant from outside. The chicken noodles have wonderfully tender, flavourful chicken paired with mediocre noodles. The satay beef rice noodles were plain; its preparation differs greatly from authentic Hong Kong style. The chicken steak sandwich and fried egg were decent. The overall quality has slightly dropped from before. My main gripe is the $2 surcharge for ice in drinks, which feels unfair. Those are only two positive points during this meal. The worse part was the billing. There was confusion when my parents were trying to pay and they knew the price was incorrect. We reviewed with the server with an itemized list. It turned out they charged my parents for an item that was supposed to be free because of some promotion. Please double check your bill when you pay. Then it took a long time for the staff to fix the bill. Overall, I think it is best to go to this restaurant when it is not busy. This restaurant is large and can accommodate walk in customers seating wise. It is not my first choice in Burnaby if I were in the area during a weekend. The rice rolls were beautifully translucent, thin while having great texture. The crisp lettuce, meaty beef slices, and warm soy dressing was a great complement in flavour and texture. Been so long since I had claypot rice and this one was a gem. Piping hot, fragrant, and each grain of rice was not sticking together. The crispy bottom was plenty.
