    Parker Place, aka 百家店 to us locals, is the home of Yummy Yummy,好滋味. I rarely eat in the food court of this Asian Mall. I'm usually here for the BBQ meats at Parker Place BBQ Meats. The shop itself is about as HK as you can get. Grandma, daughter, aunties, brothers running the place. To give it extra authenticity, they have mom feeding her two year old daughter lunch up at the front counter in plain view of all the customers ordering food. The two year old is dripping food all over herself. Two thumbs up for authenticity. You can't get better than this. They could easily earn 5 stars just for giving me that experience. Food is made to order once you place it. It takes about 10 mins and comes out hot and fresh. My flat noodles was surprisingly good for what it was. $7.50 tax incl. Seating is in the center of the food court with food vendors all around the periphery. They did have a 車仔麵 display here a while ago. Easy repeat for this kinda pricing and taste.

    I found this place randomly because one customer was having some steak and pasta for $7.75. I needed some fatty comfort food for lunch after browsing travel deals at Campbell Travel. So I thought I must get their two choice combo as the food here looked VERY appetizing. I got my combo (2meats, one soup and a drink, cold drink is 50cents extra) for $8.25 and the food was fresh. I had Chicken steak, Pork Chop cutlet with Onion sauce it was great. Chicken and pork chop were tender and yummy. Spaghetti was cooked to perfection I must say. Service was fantastic. One of the staff helped me figure out what to order. The lemon iced tea was on point. The downside would be finding seats during the peak hours, however this lady offered me her seat after she finished eating. Yummy Yummy was SO worth it. They seemed so honest to their restaurant name and YES I will go back one day!

    Yummy yummy yummy I got food in my tummy! Looking for a quick fix of rice noodles ala vermicelli Singapore style and I got what I wanted from Yummy yummy. Just the right amount of dry curry spiciness with celery, bean sprouts bbq pork and shrimp. Food is pumped out faster than you can ask "what is that ?" If you're not from Hk well this should be an experience for you to visualize. After reading Herman E's review he hit it in the nail! They're churning out the food fast for a reason. Get the orders out during the short lunch break and make it fresh. Cash fast delicious are the recipe for this places success.

    Yummy yummy has one of the cheapest breakfasts in the food court, it's a nice egg combo with ham, toast, and a hot drink. You might have to wait ~5 min, but the food comes out of the kitchen quickly and steaming. I haven't tried their lunch options, but portions look decent all around. Language factor: The cashier assumes you know Chinese, but will switch to English if you start speaking in English. All of the menu items are numbered and in both Chinese and English, so there's no problem in finding and ordering what you want. Parking: Lots of free parking outside the plaza, though there can be a lot of cars circling for spots so luck can be a factor in finding a spot quickly. I usually end up finding more free spots on the roof. Seating: It's a food court, so there's a large area with tables that seat 2 ~ 4 people. When it's busy, you might need to snipe tables from people who look ready to go.

    I know you shouldn't have too high of a standard at Asian food court because you get what you pay for. $5.50 for a bowl of noodles is a good price. I ordered a pork chop noodle soup and it was incredibly bland. The dish had noodles, bland pork chop, msg soup, bean sprout, and green onions as garnish. You know sometimes when you find a small bug in your greens, you say "oh, it's just a little vegetable bug". It's completely gross, but I'm sure I'm not the only one (I hope). You don't typically find these "vegetable bugs" in bean sprouts or green onion, but I sure found one in my soup! I ate half of my dish before I saw the little guy floating in my soup. As much as I hate wasting food, the sight of this made me lose my appetite. Needless to say, I threw the rest of the food away.

    Surprisingly good for a food court place. You have your typical HK cafe food fare - rice, noodles, snacks. We ordered their baked pork chop on rice and a french toast. Loved the french toast. They use the tasty jam inside (I think it's kaya?), not peanut butter that some places use. It's also 3 pieces of toast with 2 layers of the jam. Lots of delicious jam goodness. The baked pork chop on rice was okay. Good flavour in the pork chop, but the rice was different from what I expected. Most places have it on a fried rice base and while there was an attempt to do that here, there wasn't much that made the rice into a fried rice (unless you count a few carrot and pea bits). I didn't mind too much. It's just different. Both came with a drink. 50 cents more for something cold. They're very reasonably priced. If I'm ever back in Parker Place, I'll definitely go back for a revisit. The french toast is a must!

Usual table service was in place. Took our order and food came out at acceptable pace. When we were done, they politely boxed up the leftovers and we paid our bill. So service was on point. The food we ordered came out hot. The staples that I order to test was hargow, suimai and pai gwut(spareribs). All 3 dishes in general were good.....the hargow could have used an extra minute or 2 in the steamer. The suimai was very good. I tasted every ingredient in this dish. Usually it is just a complete mix and you can't discern the different flavors. They tried something different with the cheongfun by adding pieces of Chinese donut to the roll. I personally think it didn't add much to the dish, taste or texture wise. I did like the pea shoots with shrimp. I think it is a good combo. All in all a good dimsum. I also noticed they did not charge us a tea service. The cost of the food is comparable with other restaurants at this level. On a typical Sunday evening, the restaurant is usually fully occupied, but my friend had thoughtfully made a reservation a week in advance, so our table for five was ready upon arrival. As always, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, with good airflow thanks to the wide-open front entrance facing the parkade. The front desk receptionist greeted us cordially, and we were escorted to a cozy table in a comfortable location -- not too close to the washrooms, which I appreciated. Our meal began with the Kirin Special Assorted Cold Appetizer, followed by Crab Meat, Dried Scallops, and Fish Maw Soup. The soup arrived piping hot and was delicious, with a generous portion that could easily have served eight people. We also enjoyed Pea Tips Braised with Bean Curd and Assorted Mushrooms in Consommé, Marinated Free-Range Crispy Skin Chicken, Fillet of Cod Sautéed with Seasonal Vegetables, and Live Crab in Consommé with Ginger and Green Onion, served with E-fu Noodles. Overall, the quality and taste of every entrée were excellent. Service was top-notch -- tea and hot water were refilled constantly, bones and used plates were replaced promptly, and the servers were friendly and engaging throughout the evening. My friend and his family have apparently been regulars at this location for over two decades, which likely contributed to the exceptional attentiveness we received. However, one aspect of the experience genuinely disturbed me. All servers, including the captains, continued to wear masks at all times. While this practice was understandable two years ago, now -- five years after the onset of the pandemic, with COVID-19 managed similarly to other seasonal respiratory illnesses -- the continued universal masking in a fine-dining environment feels unnecessary and detracts from the overall guest experience. Fine dining, in my view as an avid foodie, is built on human connection, hospitality, and personal interaction. Masks create a more impersonal, almost clinical atmosphere. In a well-ventilated space like this, the environmental risk does not seem to justify the visual and social trade-off. Rather than providing reassurance, the persistent masking may unintentionally signal that the environment is unsafe or that management is out of step with current provincial health guidelines, where masking is now a personal choice rather than a mandate. Final verdict: Food & Service: 5/5 Ambience: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 -- as the current aesthetic feels more like a relic of 2020 than a leader in 2026 hospitality.

For those that don't know, Chang Fen is a silky and soft steamed rice noodle that's made in a sheet, filled, and then rolled up and served with a savory soy sauce and chili oil. Classic fillings include shrimp, beef, pork, and veggies, but there are many other combinations, and Yin Ji introduced me to my new favorite, pork and olive! We also had to enjoy a "frozen HK milk tea" with it! Frozen here = chilled and it's served in a big bowl of ice so you don't dilute the rich flavor of the tea! As a non Chinese speaker in a rich Chinatown, service and communication can be challenging but that was not the case here at all! The staff was so welcoming, happily spoke English and helped us where necessary and made the visit incredible! It started because we saw signs saying cash only, but had not exchanged USD, and they quickly told us CC was welcome with an added fee, which we happily paid. I'm so glad I found Yin Ji and made the trip to get here during my time in Vancouver. If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine, especially breakfast and lunch staples, this is a must!
