Poor service!!! I was ordered a noodle soup with chicken steak. The server didn't speak English well and i was asking what kind of noodle type i wanted but didn't know what is exact name for it. She started taking other people's orders and ignored me. She told me that she didn't understand what kind of noodles i wanted. She spoke to me rudely like she didn't wanted to deal with me even if i asked what kind of noodles they have. Then when I found out the name of noodles, she refused to take my order and asked me to leave. All I was asking for the name of the noodle that I was looking for. Parker Place, aka 百家店 to us locals, is the home of Yummy Yummy,好滋味. I rarely eat in the food court of this Asian Mall. I'm usually here for the BBQ meats at Parker Place BBQ Meats. The shop itself is about as HK as you can get. Grandma, daughter, aunties, brothers running the place. To give it extra authenticity, they have mom feeding her two year old daughter lunch up at the front counter in plain view of all the customers ordering food. The two year old is dripping food all over herself. Two thumbs up for authenticity. You can't get better than this. They could easily earn 5 stars just for giving me that experience. Food is made to order once you place it. It takes about 10 mins and comes out hot and fresh. My flat noodles was surprisingly good for what it was. $7.50 tax incl. Seating is in the center of the food court with food vendors all around the periphery. They did have a 車仔麵 display here a while ago. Easy repeat for this kinda pricing and taste. read more

I found this place randomly because one customer was having some steak and pasta for $7.75. I needed some fatty comfort food for lunch after browsing travel deals at Campbell Travel. So I thought I must get their two choice combo as the food here looked VERY appetizing. I got my combo (2meats, one soup and a drink, cold drink is 50cents extra) for $8.25 and the food was fresh. I had Chicken steak, Pork Chop cutlet with Onion sauce it was great. Chicken and pork chop were tender and yummy. Spaghetti was cooked to perfection I must say. Service was fantastic. One of the staff helped me figure out what to order. The lemon iced tea was on point. The downside would be finding seats during the peak hours, however this lady offered me her seat after she finished eating. Yummy Yummy was SO worth it. Just the right amount of dry curry spiciness with celery, bean sprouts bbq pork and shrimp. Food is pumped out faster than you can ask "what is that ?" If you're not from Hk well this should be an experience for you to visualize. After reading Herman E's review he hit it in the nail! They're churning out the food fast for a reason. You might have to wait ~5 min, but the food comes out of the kitchen quickly and steaming. I haven't tried their lunch options, but portions look decent all around. Language factor: The cashier assumes you know Chinese, but will switch to English if you start speaking in English. All of the menu items are numbered and in both Chinese and English, so there's no problem in finding and ordering what you want. Parking: Lots of free parking outside the plaza, though there can be a lot of cars circling for spots so luck can be a factor in finding a spot quickly. I usually end up finding more free spots on the roof. Seating: It's a food court, so there's a large area with tables that seat 2 ~ 4 people. You know sometimes when you find a small bug in your greens, you say "oh, it's just a little vegetable bug". It's completely gross, but I'm sure I'm not the only one (I hope). Surprisingly good for a food court place. You have your typical HK cafe food fare - rice, noodles, snacks. We ordered their baked pork chop on rice and a french toast. Loved the french toast. They use the tasty jam inside (I think it's kaya?), not peanut butter that some places use. It's also 3 pieces of toast with 2 layers of the jam. Lots of delicious jam goodness. The baked pork chop on rice was okay. Good flavour in the pork chop, but the rice was different from what I expected. Most places have it on a fried rice base and while there was an attempt to do that here, there wasn't much that made the rice into a fried rice (unless you count a few carrot and pea bits). I didn't mind too much. It's just different. Both came with a drink. 50 cents more for something cold. They're very reasonably priced. If I'm ever back in Parker Place, I'll definitely go back for a revisit. The french toast is a must! read more

We booked a time for Mayfair Lakes in Richmond and when we phoned it there was a long frost delay we had to deal with. Since we were up anyways we decided to meet at Parker Place Mall in Richmond to grab a bit of breakfast and hopefully wait out the frost delay. The mall's food court was packed with Chinese folks sitting and eating. We could barely find a table! One of the guys I golf with knows this place well so he suggested we grab a cheap, and fast bite at Yummy Yummy... The food was ok... Not high end by a long shot but it was pretty fair... I had the egg, luncheon meat, vermicelli noodle soup with a hot milk tea... Hey for $3.75 you can't go wrong! Ok it's not a Whitespot breakfast but it was cheap and quick. Not bad! Let me make no misdirections here, this little food shop is amidst the bustling food court options at Parker Place mall, and it does Chinese fast food quickly, and well. Orders are efficiently taken and food is freshly prepped and ready to go within 5 minutes. I ordered the Singapore fried noodles (vermicelli with curry sauce dry fried with BBQ pork and shrimp), which was nicely flavored with a touch of spiciness. I have to say Yummy Yummy is over the top!!! Almost everything is good there: the waiters, the food, and the drinks are the king of the kings of the kings of tastiness!! The sandwiches are awesome; the fried rice is big and delicious; and there is lots more good food to try!! The waiters are really polite, too!! Yummy Yummy always gets a big amount of people to come to eat compared to other food stores at the food court!! Now talking about the price, it really will blow people's minds!!
