We've been there a few times and enjoyed most of the things we've tried up until tonight. One off night is fine, but tonight was beyond awful! - pho and bento box came out and were fine. Nothing to brag about - VERY long wait for sashimi plates and sushi's. And I mean VERY LONG. My 5 year old who takes hours to eat was done with his bento box before we got the rest of the food. - I had ordered a jalapeño roll -- let's just say I got a wrapped jalapeño. I'm trying to eat sushi not a vegetable! (Picture attached) - the sunset roll was simply disgusting. I took one bite and was done. - my kids ordered the sashimi and nigiri plates -- they both spat some out as the sashimi had blood (??) spots on it and nigiri's came with bones. -- We saw many to go orders go before we were served. Please next time -- actually right now there wont be a next time-- , tell us it's going to take a long time for food to come out. And also please get a chef who can slice vegetables! We went to try Tataki a local sushi spot, Saturday at noonish it was slow. A couple tables with customers. The decor and ambiance were nice and quiet. We were sat in the back by all the storage lol. We tried the Brad, sunset roll, mango roll, Texan roll, spider roll, gyoza, veggie spring roll. Thai tea, and a side salad. It was good but for a strip mall sushi place. The best rolls were the spider and sunset. The Thai tea was sweet and tea forward just the way I like it. If you're in a rush this place isn't the fastest but it's decent for those that are new to sushi. read more

First time ever trying this restaurant, so I opted just to buy a few things for takeout in order to check the quality, etc. I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and definitely will be returning! I ordered the Gyoza appetizer (which comes with six), the cheese wontons appetizer (also comes with six), and their squid salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! The restaurant was generous enough to include two ponzu sauces and two sweet and sour sauces. Both dipping sauces tasted absolutely phenomenal. The squid salad far exceeded my expectations and I only wish it was bigger because I definitely could have ate two of those! I requested very spicy and Tataki Sushi definitely delivered on that. The cheese wontons may appear a little smaller than some restaurants, however, they were all loaded with cream cheese which to me makes the wonton in itself. They are also cooked perfectly and very crispy. The gyoza was also cooked to perfection and loaded with ingredients. Everything was very fresh! Five stars earned and a HIGHLY recommend to all sushi lovers! I cannot wait to try their other dishes. Another bonus, the prices are very reasonable here and the quality is superb. read more

Their appetizers are amazing and a good value for the price....the rest, not so much. If you're ordering takeout be prepared to receive NO wasabi or spicy anything in regards to sauces. You only will receive ginger slices and soy sauce. Their rolls are rather bland and small. What was the worst part though, is the way they package. I ordered the snow mountain roll with sashimi (crabsticks; $8 for 5 is already ridiculous but then...) The roll/sashimi was in a styrofoam container at the very bottom. Then they layered the super hot gyoza, cheese wontons, egg rolls, etc on top. I did not realize until I got home why my sushi roll was hot and my crabsticks wilting and falling apart. The worst part was the restaurant blamed me when the weather is cooler nevermind I have no working heater in my truck anyways. The soy sauce condiments and two chopsticks ridiculous. I didn't expect much from this shopping center sushi place in Clinton. But the fish quality was top notch and the rolls were thoughtfully put together and nicely proportioned. The knife work on the sashimi was inconsistent, if you're fancy, but the fish was cool, fresh, and flavorful. Very reasonable prices to boot (edamame and rolls easily $2-$5 less and sashimi about 2/3 the price than comparable quality in SLC, 40 minutes south). Will go again! read more

I ordered the 2 sushi combo special that comes with your choice of appetizer, house salad, and your choice of 2 sushi rolls. I got the crab Rangoons, which were not fried long enough, the wonton was chewy and not crispy at all. House salad was decent, the house dressing is a sweet creamy dressing. I got the shrimp tempura roll-mushy and had very little flavor, and the Texas roll-the steak had no flavor and the cream cheese was melted and the rice was mushy and over cooked. We also ordered the edamame...amazing! And the beef and meatball pho. Noodles were mushy and over cooked. Beef was chewy and had no taste. Meatballs also had zero flavor. I usually get their package deals. Get two rolls and an appetizer. My go to rolls are the dragon: crab inside eel on top. And the sunset: crab inside salmon on top. Their cheese wontons are ok, the filling is way too sweet so I usually just eat the crispy wontons skin. read more

This place is a hidden treasure! Great sushi for a great price. Their spicy tuna roll is up there with one of the best I've had. We usually get combo meals that come with a salad, choice of appetizer (gyoza, edamame and a couple other choices) and either 1,2 or 3 sushi rolls from a select menu. The service was half and half. The blonde lady that greeted us and walked us to our tables could use a little more enthusiasm. She was not attentive or friendly throughout our visit. Maybe she was having a bad day. The customer service was better than anywhere else, they make sure to treat you like you're the only customer there- they check in with you about every 5-10 minutes. They give you everything you ask for and even though they have a mask on, it feels like they do it all with a smile! Definitely recommend and definitely going back! Today we ordered take out. We got four rolls: jalapeño, mango passion, sunset, and California. We also ordered some gyoza which I gulped down half of before thinking about taking a picture. Best shrimp tempura I've had, and my normal haunts are in Northern California. Had the bento box meal which is excellent for the price, as the miso soup and salad were excellent and served in separate bowls , hot and cold contrast was a good thing. Choose teriyaki beef and shrimp tempura (of course) and beef was lean, tempura best ever. Great value for dollar even if you aren't comfortable with chopsticks like I am (asked for a fork). Welp, we've been here about a half-dozen times now and still not disappointed. The place is clean, food is fresh and good! I've taken several family members to Tataki's and they've all been very happy with their meals. I continue to get the Clinton Roll, but I've had their other rolls and they are all good! This food was delicious! We will definitely be back. They told us that they opened just a few days before COVID shut everything down so this has been pretty hard on them. They had a fabulous deal for 2 rolls and an appetizer and salad for $14.99 or 3 rolls with an appetizer and salad for $19.99, so we ordered both which fed two adults and one kiddo, we all left full and happy. The service was wonderful, they were obviously grateful to every customer who came in the door. The waitress and chef both talked to us and the chef even called my husband over to further discuss a question that we asked when we ordered. The restaurant is clean and well designed. Very inviting. I think when it comes to sushi it's definitely something you can be picky about but especially when it comes to ordering out sushi. This place was absolutely wonderful! We did take out and the ordering process online was smooth and seamless. The food was still packages beautifully so presentation was still great! The sushi was wonderful too. You can tell it's fresh and their rolls have awesome combinations. Since we didn't dine in we can't say much about the customer service/in-dining experience however everything else was wonderful. Let me just say these were bomb! All of the rolls are so fresh and deliciously prepared. I wanted to grab sushi for my birthday and didn't even notice this place was here. I ordered takeout, and the person over the phone was really nice. Also when we picked up the order all of the workers were friendly and nice. So glad I found this gem. It's definitely not like those big fat rice rolls where some places over take with too much rice in their rolls. These were perfect, even my daughter who loves sushi was delighted. I've yet to try other things they offer so I will definitely be keeping this spot in mind when I crave sushi!
