My husband was in the office 5 minutes was told it was cosmetic and would cost 250.00 cash to remove and that insurance wouldn't cover it. I called and ask for my copay back and she hung up on me. So I wrote a letter requesting a refund and no response. Took my husband to a licensed Dermatologist, they removed the bump and sent it off for a boopsiy to make sure it isn't skin cancer. I did not even have a copay, insurance covered entire visit and biopsy. On her page she only accepts happy experiences not anything negative. Terrible experience!!!!! I went to Dr. Bucky after a friend (who was a doctor for Penn at the time) suggested him when I was looking at doctors for breast implants. I had recently gotten a large settlement from a car accident that left me with permanent injuries to my back, and I had also just lost a bunch of weight. It was time to treat myself to something that I knew would boost my self-confidence and happiness. I researched Dr. Bucky myself before calling the office and saw nothing but amazing and informative reviews and very positive before and after photos. I made the plunge and called to make my appointment. There was a consultation fee ($100 or $150 maybe? This was back in 2013...) and if I chose Dr. Bucky, the fee would be applied to the procedure. Cool. Sounds good. Everything was explained in detail over the phone which I thought was really great. Cue the day of the appointment, my friend (who recently had breast augmentation surgery in Los Angeles) and I show up to Dr. Bucky's office in Washington Square. Obviously the aesthetic and vibe in Washington Square is a little different than the rest of the city, and I was a 20 year old kid (essentially) with hot pink hair and tons of tattoos and facial piercings -- slightly out of place here, but whatever. When I walked in, my age and appearance didn't make the staff treat me differently, which was (and still is...) super refreshing and reassuring. Dr. Bucky is the best, and his prices reflect that along with a very upscale clientele; I stuck out like a sore thumb in the waiting room! I get brought back (with my friend) and get changed to make it easier for him to... assess the situation, we'll say. I speak with Dr. Bucky's nurse, explain in more detail why I'm there, blah blah blah. On we go.. Dr. Bucky comes in for the consultation, and I still swear to this day, he was so, so nice, professional, and just overall amazing! I explained how self conscious I was with my small and sad B cup boobs, and losing weight just made the situation with the girls worse! Dr. Bucky totally understood and gave me an in-depth explanation on what his plan would be: a mid-level lift with implants to bring me to a DD cup. I was sold. Like if I could've handed over all the cash then and had the surgery right away, I probably would've done that. Side note: during the consult Dr. Bucky explained how they include a rigorous vitamin regiment prior to and after surgery to help my body prep for everything. Where the hell else do you get that kind of care? Because I haven't seen it before. Scoring more points even after I'm sold! Way to go! Erin (I think?) was the patient coordinator at the time. She would be the one to handle my payments, scheduling, etc. She was awesome. It was at this point in my interactions with Dr. Bucky and his staff that I told Erin about my "settlement" money, and quite honestly, I had never spent this kind of money EVER! She was super sweet and supportive with the whole process. I had a super ridiculous time with my bank declining the large transactions I was trying to make to pay for the procedure, and Erin let me mail them checks from my parents' account to pay for everything since my bank wasn't having it! Points again! I'll spare you more rambling and not go into detail about the day of the procedure, I mean it was still surgery after all... I got to Penn, they did the thing, I woke up HOURS later feeling I got drop-kicked in the chest by an elephant. Dr. Bucky, his staff, and the staff at Penn were all great. Now it was time to go home! Fair warning to anyone considering a lift/implants: you're going to feel pretttty rough for a while. I thought I was dying. However, Dr. Bucky prescribed me Valium to take post-surgery alongside the narcotic pain medication I was already prescribed by another doctor for my back at the time. He told me to trust him and that it would help more than anything. And boyyyy did it. Post surgery points! I had three follow-up visits to check on how everything was healing/to remove stitches/make sure the implants were settling okay. I felt like that was really, really awesome and like they really wanted to make sure I was okay. Six years later, I'm still so happy with my decision to have Dr. Bucky do the procedure. My boobs do not *look* fake, which I hear all the time (such a strange compliment, I know).. I recommend Dr. Bucky to EVERYONE. I keep meaning to go back to his office for Botox and other procedures. They are the BEST!

He also makes quirky comments like "how are my boobs?" Very awkward and weird. Long story short he did a terrible job, she is in pain and need reconstructive surgery. The way Dr, levin and BARB at the front desk treated my mom while she expressed her concerns are disgusting. Dr. Levin offered to do the surgery again to try and rectify the situation but rudely said "after this we are done!" I do not feel safe with my mom receiving another surgery by his hands and we will pass on the second botched surgery and will be going to someone more skilled, and who actually cares about their patients and listens. My last words to him were to error on the side of larger and he stated he would do what he thought was best for my body type. After the procedure he came to the waiting room and told my husband that he had to go with 345cc because he was unable to close the incision which made no sense to either of us considering the biggest issue, I had was extra skin d/t losing weight. Which required me to have a mastopexy as well as augmentation. The day after the surgery I was devasted when my husband unwrapped me and I saw what he had done. I paid close to ten thousand dollars for what he wanted not what I wanted. I ended our video chat and I cried, my husband made me call back and speak to Barbara and I told her how unhappy I was with the outcome. She told me to at least give it a few months till they settled into place and the swelling went down which I did. They did not get better they got worse. My next visit I again explained to dr levin and Barbara how unhappy I was and about the small hole under the right breast. he stated you would fix that. On my third visit Barbara showed me the massages I needed to do and also felt around the areola and felt how raised the sutures were she said she didn't know why they did that. I did not understand what she meant by that until she stated that if any sutures poked through the skin that I should not try to remove them myself but to come in and allow her to do so. At my 4th visit I came in to have the sutures removed that were poking out the left breast. When I told Barbara that's why I was there she looked at me and said "no there's not" I told her yes there is and you can run your finger over and feel it. I also explained to her I was unable to wear regular bras due to the pain of the lump and scar under the right breast When dr levin walked into the office you explained to me my implants were bottoming out. I had not heard that term, you stated that it was due to me losing weight. I reminded you that I had significant weight loss prior to the procedure which is why I came in for the procedure and needed the mastopexy. I had not gained or lost any weight by that visit. You then stated while Barbara was standing on the left side of the exam table that you would fix it stating "I will have to cut more skin from under both breast and of course we will do that for free". I was astounded and so grateful because I truly did not expect that. I thanked you profusely. By this time, it was end of December and Barbra told me to call after the first of the year to discuss scheduling. I called in to discuss the new procedure and I asked if you Dr. Levin would be willing to replace my implants for larger ones since you had to cut me open again anyway. Barbara quoted me prices including the surgeons fee, I reminded her that I was told that the fee would be waved that I would be paying facility and anesthesia fees. She Stated that Dr levin did not say that and I said yes he did and I told her she was standing just on the other side of me when you said that. She stated that she would have to speak to you and get back to me. When she called me back she stated that you said "if I said that then I will honor that" (waiving the surgeon fee) so I asked again if I could have my implants replaced with the understanding that I would have to pay for them. She stated I could, but I would have to pay the surgeon fees. I told her that made no sense whatsoever. If I were already going to be opened up on the table and the revision of the mastopexy was to be free, why would I have to pay surgeon fees. Once again, she stated she would have to call me back and speak to you dr. levin about that. She called back and stated that he agreed to proceed. I called in to speak with Barbara because I was having more pain and discomfort, I was asking her if it was normal and if being able to place my fingers under my breast and feel the implant moving, she then stated "she didn't have time to answer my questions because she had other patient on hold". So I made an appointment for 2/11 when I arrived and Barbara came to get me from the waiting room she stated" why are you here" her tone was not welcoming if made me feel like I was a nuisance. I stated to discuss the upcoming procedure and get a date set. No suggestions for an in person consultation. If I look so "extremely" uneven, wouldn't you at least want to try to help me? Photos are limited for evaluation. Also, I just mentioned what one doctor suggested years ago. Obviously I don't believe that what was mentioned then is still what I need. I just finished medical school and honestly, I'm still so peeved and hurt by this unprofessional encounter I felt the need to write. Having a congenital eye disorder results in a lot of insecurities, and having a sensitive bedside manner is really important when helping potential patients.
