I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this establishment...I was expecting to just grab something that was just "Ok" and when I tell you that my tune Changed once I saw those Chesapeake Oysters come out and took that first fork full of LUMP CRAB meat and took that bite which is just full of FLAVOR...and then we had Lemon Pepper & Honey Old Bay wings which were SCRUMPTIOUS and had me wondering how I've never been here...I will definitely be returning for sure! Everything was fresh, hot and simply just delicious...the service was friendly, patient and quick... Ohhhhh, I forgot...I got the carrot cake and it made me looking to see if my granny was in the back working part time...LOL SOOO FREAKING GOOD

Always a favorite and perfect for before or after sports. The roast beef on weck is the best!!! We went to Buffalo recently so I got it up there bc it's supposed to be a local specialty. O'loughlins was 1000 times better then the ones we had in Buffalo!

Started dinner with chicken tenders appetizer that was good, dinner included 27.00 Crab cakes with nothing but chunks of crab, much better than anything you can find in Jersey which is typically just mush. Large portion of 22.00 Ribs that were average. Sat outside in a little bubble with its own heater, servers were nice unfortunately carry out was priority and it took a hour to get dinner. Also always disappointed when an Irish joint does not serve Smithwicks, but thank goodness for Guinness.

    Half the menu.

I stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. A guy just left and the bartender thought I was the guy so it took a while for him to come over. He realized immediately that I was someone different and apologized. I ordered a draft and it was icy cold. I then ordered the Rueben sandwich. I was disappointed. The corned beef was tough. It's too bad because the rest of the sandwich was tasty especially the rye bread. It came with fries (plenty) and they were good.

The fried green tomatoes could have been cooked a little longer to suit my taste but it wasn't bad. Just a little hard to cut through with the knife. I'm interested in trying out their early evening. They also allowed separate checks, which helped avoid confusion and was greatly appreciated. I had dined here shortly after the restaurant opened and had mixed impressions then, but I must say there has been significant improvement. The service was excellent. Our waitress was pleasant, responsive, familiar with the menu, and able to answer everyone's questions. The atmosphere was festive yet relaxing, and the owners were present, greeting guests and checking on diners. The level of service was truly outstanding. The food was good overall, with one exception. Five of us ordered the oxtail pappardelle. Two plates had plenty of meat, while the other three had very little. Both vegetable dishes--Everything Green and the charred cauliflower steak--were delicious, and I would definitely order them again with my entrée. The grilled king prawns were well seasoned, but I would skip the beans and rice because they lacked seasoning. The drinks were enjoyable. We ended the meal with two orders of bread pudding for the table. It tasted very good, though the bread could have been more substantial because the texture was quite soggy. Overall, Rumhouse has improved greatly, and I plan to add it to my regular rotation. I think some of the other ladies will, too.
