Always a favorite and perfect for before or after sports. The roast beef on weck is the best!!! We went to Buffalo recently so I got it up there bc it's supposed to be a local specialty. O'loughlins was 1000 times better then the ones we had in Buffalo!

Started dinner with chicken tenders appetizer that was good, dinner included 27.00 Crab cakes with nothing but chunks of crab, much better than anything you can find in Jersey which is typically just mush. Large portion of 22.00 Ribs that were average. Sat outside in a little bubble with its own heater, servers were nice unfortunately carry out was priority and it took a hour to get dinner. Also always disappointed when an Irish joint does not serve Smithwicks, but thank goodness for Guinness.

    Half the menu.

I stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. A guy just left and the bartender thought I was the guy so it took a while for him to come over. He realized immediately that I was someone different and apologized. I ordered a draft and it was icy cold. I then ordered the Rueben sandwich. I was disappointed. The corned beef was tough. It's too bad because the rest of the sandwich was tasty especially the rye bread. It came with fries (plenty) and they were good.

It always has fresh seasonal toppings, add your protein of choice (fresh fish of the day?) and it is the best salad in town. It's excellent... ...wings are great also, always have good soups, daily specials, drinks, etc. they have a lot of outside dog-friendly seating as well. It should just become your regular stop year 'round.

ABOUT THE AMBIANCE…read more Love the consistent, lively vibe at this Eastport restaurant/bar - seven days a week, it is sure to be clamoring with locals who pull-up by kayak and dingy (a 100-yd walk for the neighborhood dock) or walk in from homes nearby. Davis' is both people and dog friendly, allowing both species to chat it up, socialize and refuel. The outside sports a dozen a so picnic-style tables and a few high tops that bleed into the street. Shade is omnipresent once seated and servers kindly offer up water for your four-legged friends. There's a cozy park with seating just across the street from the hostess stand for those eagerly awaiting a table, right by the community dock. The inside of Davis' Pub is distinctly "bar" - replete with TVs and high tops - though there's a surprisingly large area for table service beyond the often-crowded bar. Don't expect anything slick or shiny here -- a fresh coat of paint may be tough to find. This is an authentic, worn Eastport treasure -- some use it as their comfortable watering hole, others for a cozy meal and a large swath to gather with friends.

We parked in a garage within walking distance. We made reservations ahead. Upon entering, we were greeted by a pleasant young lady and taken to our table. 1747 Pub is located in restored building indicative of that time in Maryland. The ambiance was dated and historic, if that makes sense. It was if we were transported in time and having a spot of tea in the dining room of a well established colonial family. As tea was the main event, we placed our orders: we chose the Colonial High Tea service which included a pot of tea (you chose your own flavor), choice of flavored scone (we chose cherry chocolate and cranberry-orange), and an assortment of bite size tea cakes, sandwiches, served on a tiered serving dish, and an appetizer to start (we chose cream of crab soup and French onion soup- these was an additional $3.50, and quiche Lorraine). Price was $34/pp. The flavor of teas we chose were: Cupid's Arrow (with black tea with cherry, almond, and vanilla), Harry and Megan's Royal Wedding ( which included rooibos, a red tea which is one of my favorites) and Jasmine Green tea (semi-fermented green tea with jasmine petals). The teas arrived in our own individual colorful tea pots and we got to pick what color teacups! They were beautiful in design. They were accompanied by sugar, lemon, and creamer. We enjoyed each tea. We started with our apps of the cream of crab soup, and French onion soup and quiche. The soups arrived hot and were tasty. The quiche was nice, creamy, and fresh with a great flavor and crumbly crust. Next were our scones, the cherry chocolate (special for the month) and cranberry-orange. Both had great flavor, but we liked the cranberry orange better. The tiered serving dish arrived with the savory tarts and finger sandwiches and a selection of tea cakes and pastries. They were all scrumptious! Upon leaving we explored the exhibits at the entrance and saw that they had items found in the establishment that dated back hundreds of years, including some items that belong to the enslaved workers of the establishment at that time. Fascinating! All in all, a fine tea time along with an impromptu history exhibit, was had by all.

McGarvey's Saloon & Oyster Bar -- Thursday, February 19, 2026…read more When a very frequent visitor (Jen's friend Aimee) gives you a dinner recommendation in Annapolis, you don't debate -- you comply. It's technically the off-season, and the weather was auditioning for "Biblical Flood: The Musical." Torrential. On. Off. Repeat. The streets were quiet, with rushing waters down to the harbot but hunger doesn't care about precipitation. Jen opened with the 50/50 chowder -- a bold Maryland move -- and then went full commitment with lump crab cakes. No hesitation. No leftovers. Just focused execution. Meanwhile, I had shown remarkable restraint on this multi-state run by not ordering fish and chips anywhere. Not once. Thursday night? Discipline ended. Ordered it. Crispy batter, flaky fish, exactly what I'd been waiting for. I kept it simple with an Aviator Lager -- no notes. And because we believe in finishing strong, we split a slice of Smith Island Chocolate Cake. If you're in Maryland and skip that move, you're doing it wrong. Rainy night. Off-season. Zero regrets. Aimee was right.
