Later that day I found out it was the wrong part so I tried calling to see if I could get an exchange and just pay the difference, I called several times and even the next morning to no availability. I ended up returning to the store and was able to exchange the item and pay the difference at the register. Upon leaving I decided to fix my car issue right there in the lot like so many others do but I realized I didn't have any tools as I needed to disassemble some parts to fix the issue. This particular O'reilly not the company itself but this particular one! There was a line of about 5 people behind me some of which you couldn't see because they were going around the corner. And you could hear a bunch of guys in the back playing around and one older gentleman putting batteries always and just one cashier taking his time. I finally asked if they were about to close or if they could use the other registers and like magic all three registers became open. I have shopped at this and other locations several times. I have never encountered such an unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude employee. Did not get his name... But he was younger, caucasion, heavy set with dirty blonde hair. Asked him about a part. Did not even ask me the specific questions needed to look for the part. You know standard questions like make, model and 4.0 or 3.0. None of that. When I told him I havr purchased the part with O' Reily before he states " Not recently" I then tell him, "yes, last week actually" He then proceeds to tell me it is not in their system. I inquire if the system is the same for all locations he replied yes. I go out to ny car to get the receipt and I get back and he tells me again " we don't have it" I ask to see if he can look up other stores to see if thwy have the part. He says "I'm not from here" Finally his colleague who was helping someone else helps him with some other stores. Here is the thing. You don't have the part... Fine. But... How do you know without even asking me the make and model of my car. Ultimately time was wasted. I get to the other O'Reily on Congress and the guy says "If you have bought the part, he could have just looked it up using your phone number" Not only does he tell me that but he also finds the part and honors the warranty on the part. Worst auto parts chain in Austin. I brought in a battery that has not been holding its charge for months now and the the females assistant manager was no help at all. She insisted that i have the battary pulled, charged and tested for over 2 hours even though i just left galaxy automotive (..which is a below average repair shop) who repaired my starter. I had a mobile mechanic come out and replace this battary 4 months ago he brought it back to this same location due to it is under warranty and didnt have to wait 2 hours. I am such a dissatisfied customer and will not be getting any kind of parts from this ridiculous store or assistant manager again!!! Walk right across the street to napa auto parts. read more

The good- most of the time they have the parts in stock when other Oreilly stores do not. The bad- They are very disorganized,half are polite at the most. They just attend the next person in line and do not have a way of helping the next customer in line. So there is a big big chance that someone who just walked in will go first than you that have been waiting for 10-15min. Ridiculous. They have loud music playing and many employees use profanity in Spanish(I am bilingual) perhaps as a joking matter but that's extremely unprofessional and should have ZERO tolerance. I took my car to this O'Reilly yesterday after getting nowhere with the Brushy Creek location. Big mistake. My car needed its battery replaced, and the battery was still supposed to be under warranty. The people working at the shop looked at it and told me to leave my car for 2 hours on a weeknight so they could charge the battery, not replace it. So I came back and they hadn't run any of the tests they said they would, nor had they reinstalled the battery. 45 minutes in the cold later and they finally told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. I thought otherwise but went home because I was exhausted. I teach elementary school so I was not about to stay until the 11pm closing time. Sure enough, on the way to work this morning, my car died in the middle of the road and I had to get it towed to a dealership. Thanks for costing me the tow and rental car, o'Reilly. read more

I had a situation at store #1048 (North Lamar past Rundberg) in Austin, TX, that I spoke with several people (I called 4 separate times on 9/2/16) at the Springfield MO 417-862-3333 number. It was regarding a transaction gone bad (91/16) with a man claiming to be the manager (Gary) yelling at me in a full store. What had happened was an employee who had only been on the job 3 days was left to himself due to poor management in the store. He made a huge mistake in refunding the total amount if my purchase instead of just a core charge of $35.00. Easy enough if you have money in your account, which I did not so that money was immediately tied up the 3-5 business days to resolve before the money would make its way back to my account. Gary, sensing the frustration of his failure, stared yelling at anyone and everyone in the store including 3 of his employees my cousin and me. He was being a baby and ended the conversation with, "You know what, enjoy your free alternator!" I said he was being ridiculous as we had already had exchanged heated words. He signed his name in the ticket and threw at me. I left the store and called the corporate office number listed above. I'm sure you can go back and see in your system the same explaination I give to you here, I gave to 4 people (one time might have been the same person). Finally, I spoke to David, who admitted to me, "We made a mistake, your alternator is free." I even replied with something to the affect of, this would have saved a lot of time and stress if you guys would have said that earlier. Jump to today 9/10/16. A $167.78 and a $20.99 charge was made on my debit card. I am now overdrawn in my bank account. I can't even begin to explain the frustration and unprofessionalism I see in your stores. While I have your ear, I actually feel that your stores have well priced products, but customer service is absent from training employees. I had to buy a battery at a different location and a man at that location yelled at me after I said that he was helping someone who walked in well after I did. He said, "THESE PEOPLE ARE IN MY LINE, YOU ARE IN THAT LINE!!!" Well okay, O'reileys has a serious systemic issue with respect and customer service, now stealing. I called Ken the actual manager today to tell him that his store took money that it was not authorized to take and you know what he told me, he said we made it right, the way it was supposed to be in the first place. I can't even tell you how wrong this is. Ethically horrible in fact. Your managers are running around rogue in your stores doing whatever they feel is right. He told me this morning after U told him I spoke with corporate and the issued was resolved and the product was going to be free, he said who did you talk to? The MO office, he then gave the phone number listed above and said, "oh ya, well those people work for ME." This is serious issue you have in your stores and it seems to be escalating. Total taken from me exceeds the purchase price for a product that is free. Update: There was another transaction taken for -$77.78 which now makes total taken from my bank without authorization or resolution equaling $266.55 as of 9/12/16. - After speaking with corporate managers and what not, they are back tracking and taking zero blame. No refund will be given at this time. - 9/14/16- O'reilly is reviewing the recorded conversation to see if David Shurbit from CUSTOMER SATISFACTION actually said what I said. - Senoir Director of Customer Services Jeff McKinney just called me and told me not to call the financial auditor anymore!!! He was condescending, rude, and guess what: was about to lose his temper, what a joke this company. He said they are reviewing the 17 calls I've made to deal with this issue to see where the David Shurbit told me that my product was free. I even have the exact time and date as to when he said that because I knew this would happen. 9/2/16 at 3:33pm, the aforementioned David made a claim he probably shouldn't have made, but did. I sto ny to change the Brake pads for my F150. I knew i hadlifetime warrantee so i did not think it was going to be an issue. Well as i put them on the counter the counter person (Jesse) first words out of his mouth is they have no warrantee. Hum! i told him i purchased the lifetime warrantee. He said Yeah i dont think im going to warrantee them for you. I told him well im not leaving with new ones so we will have to figure this out. after 45 min i had to buy a 3.00 warrantee for the new brake pads he just exchange for me. i told him if i knew you were arguring about 3 .00 i would give them to you. i had to get out of there quickly. i thought O"Reilly had better quality personal in their stores, Atleast be nice to customers so they can come back like NAPA and Auto ZONE do. read more

My last visit was for an internet order, which they filled in 5 minutes. So I'm a local business owner here in Austin texas and the Oriellys Hub store that I use is literally 2 blocks from me, needless to say they're my "first call" quite often, but after this evening, NOPE! I have never been so frustrated at a "manager" from a parts store. I tell the guy I'm a owner of a local shop, and couldn't figure out why when I look up parts online in my commercial porter, that those prices are cheaper than what they're trying to charge me when I come to store. Legit question right? NO!!! Not for Gary, guy is just rude, tells me he doesn't "own the store" so why don't I just hop on my cell phone, order and then they'll give it to me for a cheaper price. Now, I once again tell him that I own a shop, and send them A LOT of money, and also have a small car business that I buy parts for cars that I buy and sell. Does it matter? Nope, cause this jerk keeps going on about how I should just order online. So I tell him that I'll just call the District manager tomorrow because he's just gotten way out of line with me. Mind you, its 1045 pm, I've been at work since 7 am this morning, I'm tired and I just want to take car of MY CUSTOMERS. He refuses to lower the price to what I said was online. Then charges me tax after I've told them I'm tax exempt. Guess who will be my first call now? #Autozone. I'll make sure to tell all my friends who also own shops and car lots in the area on how I was treated by this "manager". Went in to see if they had pedal stop for the interior break light switch. Waited in line and the workers at the register were completely ignoring who had been waiting. Every time a register opened up they take anyone not caring who was already waiting. When one finally open I could get to the guy refused to help knowing I was waiting for an hour only so he could count the money in the registers and disappear in to the warehouse. Then another register open near by and the guy at the register ignored me and let a lady that literally just walked in and helped her out right away. Eventually a guy finally wanted to help, but they were having problems finding the part and didn't think about checking the back to see if they had some. When they guy asked a coworker for help he first ignored him then when he did come around was being very impatient and not even trying to find it like he didn't want to help me at all. When they did find the part I had already told them several times it was for a Nissan Maxima and the part they get is for a Honda and even states on the part information its for Honda and not universal. Overall horrible customer service and this was my first and last time to this location. read more
