For years their lot has served as defacto parking for Radio in the evenings. They are no longer ok with this, which is obviously their right. However, how you go about things matters. The neighborly thing would have been to put up a sign saying "No Radio parking. We will tow." Instead their towing company booted every car in the lot a few minutes before bluegrass ended at Radio. Putting up a sign would have stopped people from parking there. Instead this is costing people thousands and thousands of dollars to get the boots taken off. I have never understood coming into a business and being hassled out of buying what I need from said business. Motor oil. Thats it. Thats all I had on my mind this morning since I woke up, as "The Green Lantern" (97 volvo GLT 850) has been running a little rough. I had my oil changed in May and after checking my oil I saw that it was low. I have no leaks. Never in my life have I been told that oil brand type matters when adding oil. The sticker from my oil change said "mobile 1" with the next oil change mileage written underneath. The elderly Hispanic man who was very forceful with the idea that I use the same oil that was put in my car during the change refused to sell me oil unless I knew which brand it was. My oil was changed in Lockhart on a trip through town. I don't remember exactly which station did it, and no longer having the invoice contacting them was impossible, though Im assuming that since it said "Mobile" on it, that's the brand they used. Through out our conversation he talked down to me, interrupted me and was just all out rude. I understand that I am female. I understand that I'm not a genius when it comes to cars, but that is their PURPOSE as employees of that store. To educate and provide supplies needed for car care. I also find it funny that the way they handled the transaction before me (who was a greaser guy buying parts for a motorcycle) was COMPLETELY different. They were kind, helpful and courteous and that dude left with a smile. I feel totally discriminated against and will happily go to AUTO ZONE where I have always received great service with a smile. This place saved me in a pinch. Conveniently located, I popped in when I realized my tail light was out. Travis, the manager helped me right away. They were out of the light that I needed, but Travis said if I came back in the morning, they'd have it by 815am, and he offered to help me install it. I came back the next morning at 8:18, and sure enough the delivery was in progress. I paid them less than three bucks for the light, and five minutes later, Travis had me back in business. I would give zero stars if that was possible. I can't remember the last time I was treated so poorly and had this kind of bad customer service. After calling around all day I called this shop at 3:55. My last chance at finding a part that I needed to start my car and they had it. I told the person on the phone after they pulled the part for me that I was in route and could be there in 3 minutes. He told me they closed at 4 exactly and "there was nothing he could do if I couldn't get there by 4." (Really?!Nothing you can do?) I made it to the shop front door at 4 o'clock exactly, and the door was already locked. There were three employees standing around behind the counter, all were aware I was on my way, and they refused to sell me the part sitting on the counter in front of them. To make it worse they were incredibly rude, offered zero apologies. It was an easy $60 sale they already had the product on the counter and absolutely refused to have any compassion for me or my situation. Now having to order the part online, I can't get to work and I have to Rent-A-Car because they couldn not spare two minutes on a Saturday afternoon. They messed up by shutting down their credit card machines before they closed and didn't want to bother with me. I wasn't asking for them to go above and beyond, just to do their damn job. read more

Brake light went out and was told by a friend to check out an auto parts store to get it replaced versus going to a chain place like Pep Boys. Great service! I have an old 2003 Toyota. It runs great but happened to need a part that has been nearly impossible to find. The guy from the repair shop I use pointed me towards A-Line. I showed up and was helped at the counter within seconds. I told him the part I needed and he looked in his computer to find it. He didn't have the part but helped me try to locate another part that would be a close enough match to still work. Unfortunately he didn't have that either, but he didn't hesitate to write down the part numbers of any parts that would work and pointed me to a different store that was more likely to have old Toyota parts. This service was night-and-day compared to the guy at Auto Zone, where I had just left, where as soon as they figured out they didn't stock the part I needed they began trying to rush me off. Auto Zone might be open longer hours, which helps accommodate my heavy work schedule, but from now on I'll just wait until I get a chance to do my shopping at A-Line. Better parts, better service, better people. read more

They went out of their way to show me how to install a new bulb and when they realized we didn't have the correct tool they sent me across the street to Lopez auto shop (also very helpful and fast).
