Great place knowledgeable and never rushed. Information is key and there is plenty of opportunity to engage great folks here.

I'm going back…read more Stopped here after two other stores, looking for a new jacket and some gloves. This is my store. I was asked for help as soon as I walked in, told the person what I wanted and they pointed me in the right direction, and they did something cool: they let me shop. Riding gear is very personal: it's the only thing between you and the road if something goes down. You want it to fit. To feel secure, well-made and substantial. And you don't need some "clerk" hurrying you up. Let me be clear: the peeps @the Killeen Cycle Gear shops are not "clerks." They're riders. They showed me the section I was interested in and let me try on every single jacket I wanted without bothering me. I was there half an hour trying one after another and, yes, they checked in twice to see if I needed help, but when I said I was cool so were they. Finally, I started to leave because the only jacket I wanted - a full-leather beauty that fit like a dream, I could not afford. Before I got out the door one of the guys asked me about what was happening. And here's what happened next. That guy found me two discounts I was eligible for, and his partner was able to dig my Cycle Gear membership out of the records even though it did not initially show up on their terminal. Bottom-line? I got out of there with about 35% off my jacket with enough cash to buy some high-quality gloves. Yes. The peeps at Cycle Gear - at least in Killeen - will do everything they can to help you get what you want at the best price available without any sales "BS". Like I said, they're riders, and, who do you want to buy from? Go.

I looked all over Yelp for a leather shop and this one looked the best. I checked out the web site…read moreand it gave me the feeling it was just right. It is! You are greeted outside by a very real looking woman mannequin. The shop is in a small looking house but don't let that fool you. There is a lot of leather goods in there! I went in for a pair of brown leather chaps which are very hard to find. He had 3 different styles. The shop owner helped me pick out the right size. I bought a pair of nice chaps with removable liner. I felt the price was very reasonable. They take Visa, MC & Discover but not AMEX. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for high quality motorcycle leather at a very good price.

When my wife needed a coat we went to see Jeff. When I needed a new coat 2 years ago I went to see Jeff. When I needed to get a zipper replaced I went to see Jeff. He isn't concerned about just making a sale, but he seems like he wants to make a customer. He helped me get warranty replacement on my broken jacket zipper instead of just trying to sell another coat, and I appreciate that. Jeff has always taken care of us, and as long and I'm buying cycle leathers and he is selling them he always will be my destination for them! I encourage you to go by and check out his shop.

Erin was very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff is pretty professional -- they aren't the over friendly/fake type but they aren't snobs either. Like most local bike shops, they're not a huge location -- but they can order whatever you need at a good price. I'd come here more often if I didn't live all the way in Buda. Overall I give it 5 stars. It was clean, they had nice gear, workers who actually ride and they didn't bs. I'll be back!

Horrible CS and even worse management who lie to hurt their customers…read more Not only is their shipping atrociously slow (11 days to ship and 18 days to deliver - far outside of the times for UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail as noted on their website)... Not only do they not take any responsibility for delays and blame 'outside warehouses' when the customer inquires about the delay... Not only do they try to force customers to pay return shipping and restock fees when the customer finally requests a return/refund because their item arrived far too late to be of use... Not only do they stonewall the customer when they request a full refund... but then, after 20 days of the customer trying to resolve via email, when the customer finally is so tired that they submit a charge back with their credit card due to hugely delayed shipping and refusal to accept a full return without return shipping or restock fees... then they have the GALL to claim IN WRITING that the customer never contacted them to try to resolve the matter in the first place !!! Blatantly lying to a credit card company when there is a long chain of emails that says otherwise. I sent these emails to my CC provider and they immediately saw what was happening and credited me. The owner/boss is evidently ok with lying to hurt customers. Just incredible. Never again. DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE - save yourself the headache!!

Guy said he'd install it since they offer the service for free. Before the new battery the battery was dying on us and was supposed to be replaced long ago. The new one would not start unless he jumped it. Tried to start it again with just the battery, still wouldn't start. We went back in to receive a core refund for our old one. Went back out and we got a jump to go home. Mid backing up the car completely turned off on us. Came back out and gave us a jump. Hooked up the machine and told us we'd need a new alternator. He tried to sell us one inside but I told him our mechanic replaced the part not even 6 months ago and it was under warranty. He asked if I trusted my mechanic and I said yes. We left. He told us we'd have to drive back through small streets with our headlights off since the lights drain the battery so much. We drove it home and it was already dark. Had my mechanic come out and he said someone tampered with the alternator and he showed me, it looked like it had been smashed in and some pieces had been broken off. You could also see greasy fingerprints all around it. He then showed me that the battery was not even properly connected. Said he wouldn't be surprised if the battery gave out a few months later from being put in improperly and driving it that way. He fixed the battery connection and replaced the alternator that was still under warranty for no charge. Never trusting another O'Reillys again. Shady people.
