I went in to get my battery and alternator checked, Tess was the one who was helping us out, and she did a phenomenal job at aiding us in what was the problem with my car, very quick and easy. I had a great experience today at this auto parts and supply store. I needed some bolts that would attach a novelty license plate frame I bought for my 2021 Tesla Model 3. The license plate frame was a custom-lettered frame I purchased through Amazon. The hardware (screw/bolts) included with the kit to attach the frame to my car did not fit. So I figured I had to improvise and get the bolts elsewhere. I went to O'Reilly's Auto Parts hoping they could help. Ryan, the auto parts associate, helped me out and was very patient and knowledgeable. He was able to locate the part I needed without any problem. I found myself with a dead cell in the battery of my Chevy Malibu. The car has auto shut off when it idles, so you can see what a huge problem a dead battery would be in that scenario. I went straight to an auto parts store in Yucaipa where the employees were helpful...but there were two issues: 1. They did not currently stock my ridiculously expensive battery. 2. Even if they did, the installation came up as "so complicated, it requires professional install"...so square one. I sat there for an hour charging up my battery just to get it start, calling every dealer and Mobil mechanic in a 50 mile radius. Nothing. Additional stress: I had no one to pick up my son from school that day and the clock was winding down to pick up time. Beaumont O Reilly had my battery in stock, so after charging up my battery in Yucaipa, I drove straight there on the verge of tears. I walked in and asked for the battery, which the man at the counter went to retrieve. When he asked if I had the old battery for the core charge, I explained the whole story as to why I couldn't get it out and asked if he knew of anyone that could put the new one in that day. The man at the counter...John...my hero...said, " I can do it! It's not that hard." He then went way out of his way and messed with alllllll the ridiculousness of the way Chevy puts the BATTERY in this engine...whyyy tho, Chevy??....He had some help from another wonderful employee named Isaiah. These guys did not give up. And the install was a *huge* PIA. I was done with time to spare and was able pick up my son from school. I have had no issue since with the battery. I cannot say enough wonderful things about John and hope he gets the raise or promotion he deserves for EXCELLENT customer service and for going WAY above and beyond the actual job description. I came in tonight to get one of my windshield wipers replaced. Pep boys had no problem switching it out in under 30 seconds. The man didn't have a rain jacket, but help a woman replace her. They told me they wouldn't 2 mins later because I'm a man. I'm 330 pounds, handicapped. Recovering from cancer and open heart surgery. I will never return to this place. Disrespectful and the directions called for tools. I'm not going to try to figure it out in the rain. Growing city, please give everyone better service. read more

**OUTSTANDING SERVICE** I came in there about a month ago needing to have my battery replaced. They gentleman I spoke to on the phone earlier that day was no longer there (long commute) but the two gentlemen that were working (Luis and Jonathan) were absolutely wonderful! They proceeded to replace my battery, but with my type of vehicle, it was complicated and difficult to get the battery out. There was like a fuse box type of thing on top and we were trying to figure out how to get it off, in order to remove the battery. It was freezing cold out and it took at least an hour of trying to get it out ( we u-tubed it, lol). Jonathan persisted on getting it done while Luis went back and forth between the store and assisting Jonathan. They did not give up until we got it done! Above and beyond does not due justice to the gentleman that work here. My brother and I own a business so we have a pretty high bar for excellence in customer service. What we don't know is gears, gizmos, and oil. We came in with spotty info and an idea of what we thought we needed to keep a pump we own lubed and functional. Pat and Kasha worked with us for nearly an hour, asking us questions, going over oil types and differences. They showed us options on the shelf and in the back. Pat was on his phone googling motor schematics and Kasha even put me on the phone with his friend that knows hydraulics. Some places would point to an aisle and say that the product is over there and uses are listed, but not these guys. I truly felt that they made our need a personal priory to them and would not have been satisfied until we found what we needed, and we did. Thank you guys! read more

i really wish i got the name of the man who replaced my headlight for me a couple months ago. he was very informative and helpful (so i thought) because i know absolutely nothing about cars. after talking and helping me buy the lightbulb, he convinced me that he could replace it for me easily and for free. i even paid him $10 after he finished because i was grateful for the generosity. however.... less than a week later my light starts to only work occasionally and has gotten much dimmer. after finally taking my car to an educated mechanic i've learned that he actually put the bulb back in the complete wrong spot and it caused melting to the entire surrounding area. now i've had to replace the entire assembly of my headlight and it cost me over $300! i also learned from my mechanic that it is actually ILLEGAL for associates at auto stores to even touch your car except for maybe replacing windshield wipers (which even i can do) and i'm so irritated! i feel so dumb but really? you can probably assume that i'll never trust (or give my business) to o reillys ever again lol!! stay away from this business and go somewhere that has employees who actually know what they are doing and talking about. read more
