On our way up to Lake Arrowhead from Palm Desert our air conditioning immediately went out on a 100 degree day. We were roasting by the time we reached Banning, so we got off on the main road and drove through town looking for a repair shop and found Famous Tire Company. The staff that worked there were super friendly and offered us water and immediately set to figuring out what was wrong. Turns out it was something that couldn't be fixed immediately, but our freon was low so they refilled it. And they only charged us $45! We were super grateful and we highly recommend this team of great guys! read more

The guys at Famous Tire did it again! My 2005 PT Cruiser had 2 new problems. An engine light that was staying on and a bubbly sound when I turned off the engine. The guys did the routine oil chg and safety checks and found the reservoir for coolant was cracked. We decided to wait on further diagnostics for the engine light as it wasn't urgent but guess what? Engine light gone when I picked her up! Apparently the coolant leak was causing the engine light and the PO456 code! Thanks guys you are the best! read more

Called up to get information about specialty tires. They put me on hold for 14 minutes without a response. I called back to get a bro who would not help me figure out what sort of tire would fit on my rims. He then told me some places in San Bernardino have what I'm looking for, but to do my home work. I then asked this guy for info on a size I did know and he still tried to give me the blow off, after he told me they were not in-stock. Same guy told me he had an idea of a place who would help me find what I needed, but then said for me to do my homework. He only gave me the town and street he thought the shop was on. What am I supposed to do, read his mind? What kind of attitude is this? So rude and bro like. Great place that has a customer willing to spend 500 or more, get blown off by bros who are too busy to help. If you want to blow me off, just tell me kindly you only work with people who know their tire size and do not do speciality orders. I stumbled into Famous Tire company after getting a massive flat tire in my jeep coming back from Palm Springs. The guys working were super nice and got my jeep right in to the shop and put my spare on for me, going way beyond the call of duty to make sure I had 4 decent working tires to get me home safely to Temecula. They even showed me the hole in my tire and the 6" wrench that caused it! They charged me a minimal fee and got me back on the road super fast. Highly recommend these guys. AMAZING customer service. I went in after a tire blew on my Nissan Sentra and the rim was bent. I went to four other businesses (including my own dealership) and they all said that my rim was unfixable and that I needed a new one. So when I went into Famous Tire, I was fully prepared to purchase a new wheel and tire. I told them what I needed, and they gave me the best pricing that I had been offered thus far, so I agreed to leave my car and left for the day. Before I left, the employee asked where my old tire was (since I was riding on the donut) and I told him it what in the trunk. He took the initiative while I was gone to take out the tire and wheel, and evaluate it. He then began to work with the wheel in an attempt to save it. Again, on his own initiative, I had given up on the wheel and didn't even bother asking for them to look at or fix the rim. He was able to fix it! So he called me and took me the good news, and then gave me the option to keep my old wheel or to keep my newly repaired wheel. I kept mine and It's been perfect ever since! He really did not have to do that. He saved me around $100 on his own accord, because it was best for me, the customer. I was completely oblivious to the fact that the rim might be salvageable, based on what other businesses had told me. He could have easily replaced my wheel, charged me, and let me on my way. Frank and crew were all great from the initial welcome to the very end helping a very stressful situation be less so. They took my little Jedda in and reviewed it the next day (it was 4.30pm when it took it to them, so I didn't expect feedback in the last 30mins of their work day). So disappointed with Frank and the customer service at his store. My daughter and I spent about $1200. on Goodyear MTRs for her Jeep Rubicon. She drove on those tires about 6 weeks, local driving, and one of the tires went flat. We took it to our local tire guy to patch but he said it was obviously defective. Frank refused to accept that it was defective and turned us away with no help. He said we could buy a new tire. We called Goodyear corporate who sent us to one of their certified dealers who agreed it was obviously defective and Famous tire should have noticed it at installation. Goodyear and Certified tire in Banning helped us get a new tire, FREE! I will NEVER give Famous tire my business ever again, nor would I recommend them to anyone who appreciates customer service or a business that stands by their customers. Thank goodness for Frank and the rest of the staff! I make an hour trip to Famous Tires when my car needs any work done and it is worth the trip. Firestone told me that I needed over $2,000 worth of work on my car so I came here to make sure that was true. Unfortunately, Firestone was being honest about the work that my car needed. But Famous Tires was able to do the same work for me for just over $1,000. It's hard to find honest and resonable auto mechanics so they can look forward to my business for years to come. read more

I purchased 4 Goodyear MTR 35's on my Jeep. Not cheap tires. This Jeep stayed in town and was driven under two hundred miles in 45 days. One of the tires started to lose air and went flat over night. Frank's team found the leak in the side wall so without taking the tire off of the rim they told me the tire could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. I took the Jeep to another shop and they took the tire off the wheel and discovered a defect from the factory. I took the tire back to Frank and he told me some BS story on how the other shop was wrong and there was no defect. I personally called Goodyear and they sent me to one of their inspection station. Once a Goodyear inspector looked at the tire they did not hesitate to tell me Goodyear would replace it for free. He told me the tire was obviously defective and he could tell the tires had very few miles on them. It is clear that Frank did not want to hassle with getting my defective tire replaced for me. I would have given less than one star if possible. If you are looking for tires, just remember, you've been warned. read more
