He kindly reminded me to bring back the old battery for the core refund. At the time, I wasn't aware the old battery was still under warranty. About a week later, I returned the old battery and dealt with Tony. During the replacement process at home, I had realized the old battery was only about 26 months old and should have qualified for warranty coverage. Tony immediately processed the $15 core refund and told me to have a great day. Only after I asked about the warranty did he seem surprised and tell me the battery would need to be charged and tested first. He said someone would contact me with the results. About a week and a half later, Mike called and left a voicemail confirming the battery would not hold a charge and qualified for replacement under warranty. Had Mike been at the store upon my return, I believe this would have been resolved easily. When I returned to the store, Tony again confirmed the battery would not hold a charge. However, instead of honoring the warranty, he began looking for reasons not to. He questioned where I bought the battery, asked for a receipt from more than two years ago, and repeatedly stated he could not verify my purchase, even though Mike had previously been able to locate my customer history in the system. I explained that the battery carried an Interstate sticker dated 4/2024 and even showed him a photo from the day I purchased it in that city. None of this seemed to matter. Rather than helping find a solution, Tony appeared focused on finding a reason to deny the warranty claim. The entire interaction became increasingly frustrating. It wasn't until I told Tony I would sit in the store and contact the other Interstate location or corporate that he decided to call his manager. He eventually spoke with his boss and was authorized to refund the battery purchase, which he then processed. In the end, I told Tony that both interactions were unacceptable. I strongly believe he intended to let me leave the first time with only the $15 core refund and no mention of the warranty, despite the battery qualifying for coverage. Customers rely on store associates to do the right thing and help them navigate warranty claims fairly. Mike demonstrated that level of customer service; Tony did not. Tony needs to do better as a representative of Interstate All Battery Center. Honoring warranties and treating customers fairly should never feel like a battle.

Warranty on failed AGM battery is of no value…read more I Purchased Duracell 12V 47 Ultra Platinum Battery on 7/23/25 "with a full warranty until 7/23/2029" for $291.86. I tried to returned failed battery with original receipt that would no longer take or hold a charge almost 14 months later on 9/22/26. I was turned away without replacement or refund. I visited the store around 10am on a Tuesday. The manager was not available. I called again at 11:30 hoping perhaps there was just some misunderstanding the manager could resolve. Nothing. Arizona weather can be tough on batteries. However this battery spent most of its service life in a car parked in a swamp cooled garage. A similar battery installed in my truck parked outside in the driveway is still going strong. Regardless Batteries Plus reneged on their warranty, sending me away with nothing, not even a prorated warranty. I've dealt with Autozones and Checkers and Walmarts and Costcos and AAA and more garages than I can remember and have never run into the kind of craptastic customer service I received from Batteries Plus this date. Buy from batteries Plus if you need never worry about a warranty on a failed battery. Personally, I will never set foot in a Batteries Plustore again. Batteries Plus sucks!

I was expecting to pay $400-$500 dollars for a replacement. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable. I got super lucky that the had a shell for my fob. It was $30. He was able to just replace the outside & use my current interior parts in the new one. He even checked the battery when I asked him to. He said it was fine. So out the door quickly & a huge cost saver. You can bet I will be going there when I do have to replace the entire fob.

I had to replace my AAA battery 2 times within a year thinking it was something other than the AAA battery. The first battery, I was stuck at a restaurant. I called AAA roadside and they tested my battery the car originally came with, only to find it was bad. The driver sold my on a AAA battery which I felt reassured it would last the 3yrs it was warranted under. It only lasted about a year. I called AAA again which test showed the battery was bad. They were happy to replace the battery with no hassle. Within that year my car started to die, so I assumed it was a short within my vehicle. After taking it to a couple mechanics for diagnostic, it turns out the battery was bad. Do I dare call roadside assistants again to have the battery replaced a third time... no! I ended purchasing a Die Hard Platinum battery and it's be running strong every since. Now I have a AAA battery sitting in my shed waiting to replace it one more time before the 3yr warranty is up. After filling out a reimbursement form online with AAA, I got a call from Roger a AAA rep who basically said I'm stuck with it until the warranty is up. I guess it's a lesson learned, which is AAA needs to stick to roadside assistance and not selling batteries.
