Very polite young man with wonderful customer service skills. While I was waiting my turn he was incredibly courteous and pleasant to every customer he helped. I came in with a 'check engine' light; Robert ran the tester on my truck and put the info in the computer - he let me read the error, which could have been in Latin for all I knew. In layman's terms, Robert explained it perfectly, so I purchased the parts. I told Robert I was probably going to have a mechanic do the work but he offered some advice and knowledgeable suggestions so I thought I would try. I was able to replace one of the parts easily but needed additional tools to replace the other, so I returned to the same AutoZone. Very professionally, Robert (and his co-worker, but I don't have his name) loaned me three different tools. I was able to complete the job in the parking lot, but had to come in and out of the store once or twice with a question. Robert was able to multitask and quickly answer my question while working with other customers. The "above and beyond" aspect of my interaction with Robert was when he stopped-out to check on me. That was awesome! I do minimal work on my truck but with Robert's helpfulness, I did the job, and easily saved several hundred dollars (by not going to mechanic). I don't have an ignition coil on my car. I bought the wires, changed them, came back to have another diagnosis. A different employee helped me, and this time I asked him for a rotor and distributor cap. He quoted me around $270. I held back my laughter, and asked if they had anything else at maybe a different location. He suddenly found something for 90, but couldn't get it in until Tuesday. I went home, logged on to Amazon, found the two parts I need, and it will be at my home today (Tuesday); I paid less than $25 for Bosch parts, which is a brand I trust. All-in-all, I recommend going to the auto zone in Cheviot if you need helpful advice, and Amazon for the parts you need.

I agreed to have this sensor replaced. After the car was finished, a dash light came on indicating that one of my TPMS sensors was not reading. I took the car back to the garage. After checking it with a reader, they indicated that the new sensor which had been installed couldn't be read by my car. I asked them to reinstall the old TPMS sensor as it had been working when I took the car in. They reinstalled the old sensor and it didn't rectify the situation. They refunded me for the new TPMS sensor and said I needed a new one that they couldn't provide. I left the garage with dash lights on and one of the tire pressure indicators blank. Unacceptable service to send a customer away with his car in WORSE condition than when he arrived.

Following is the timeline of [non]events; Monday -- I left the car at Volvo Cincinnati. Tuesday -- No news Wednesday -- I received a call from Ron to the effect that the necessary part was not in stock, and would not be available for two weeks. I offered to retrieve the part from Louisville and/or Nashville Volvo while traveling for work. No go -- the part had to be ordered from Sweden. Ron apologized profusely. I appreciated the predicament that the initial service rep put him in; however, there was no offer of a loaner. (It would have been a nice gesture given the lengthy delay.) Two weeks and a few days later after a couple of terse text messages describing my frustration over the situation -- the car was ready. ($1k+) Two days later -- Power steering fluid GUSHES from the car so badly that I had to have it towed back to Volvo Cincinnati. (See photo). Ron arranged for a loaner this time. No charge for the extra service--a loose connection caused by a rusty component. I have so many questions. Why did the initial service rep not know that the part was unavailable? Why did it take two weeks to arrive? Did I receive such bad service because my Volvo is an older model? Because I'm an older model? Because I'm a woman? Why did the mechanics not replace the rusty component while they were initially servicing the car? Why did they not notice a loose power steering fluid receptacle? Why was I not offered a loaner at the outset of the delay? Why didn't I go to Sweden myself for the part? Is this luxury service for a luxury brand? In the end, I don't care what the answers are because I will never again consider Volvo Cincinnati for service or sales. One star is for Ron who handled the situation, to include my terse texts, like a damage-control pro.
