On…read more1/2/21 it was represented by the sales representative at the store I purchased the battery that they could not warranty my battery due to not being in the store computer system. However, I had proof of purchase and feel that due to being a 3 year warranty it should be replaced. I purchase my batteries from AutoZone for the warranty. I ended up buying a battery from AutoZone's competitor. The Regional Manager and Store Manager (Randy), reimbursed me for the battery to resolve the issue. I believe this was a training issue on AutoZone's part, which happens in retail. However, I feel that the Manager's of AutoZone resolved the issue professionally and I will still purchase from AutoZone and this store in particular.

I recently purchased a new battery for one of my cars. The manger was extremely helpful because my vehicle needed a special size battery. My next purchase was for a battery maintainer, with the manger's help, he showed me their wide assortment of them. I bought the new maintainer that was going to work best for my application. Even though the manger was the person who had helped me both times, there was no storage of other store employees who would have helped with the items I needed. It was the perfect solution for my vehicle! A few days later while I was driving in the rain, my windshield wipers showed that I should get them replaced. My son has helped me in the pass but he was unavailable and I was unsure of where the battery was purchased. There were 4 employees visiting when I walked in and it took me interrupting them to get some help. A very young male employee finally agreed to come check my battery, he applied the cables to determine the charge left in my battery and laughed in shock as he said is was soooo dead. pretty sure he put the cables on the wrong terminal. I followed him back in and asked if another employee could help him because I knew my battery was hard to change and he had told me he was rather new. They all went out to look at it and when they returned I had to ask for an answer. I was then informed from the mgr as he was unboxing freight that it looked like my battery was leaking battery acid (I had just gone through the car wash and cleaned my engine to get the baking soda off) He informed me that they did not have the tools to take my battery out because it might tip and get battery acid in my engine. I would have to take it elsewhere. I asked if it was their battery and they told me it was O'Reilly's. I went to O'Reillys and am happy to say I got 5 star service. My battery was not leaking and it was still under warranty. I might be older, female and blonde but I'm not ignorant to car maintenance. Autozone lost a customer that day, I will never return. The treatment I received was inexcusable. Really upset my day and caused me to have to reschedule a very important appointment.

With the way he was talking to her. he was Kurt, and when I reaffirmed, I wanted the battery installed whether his recommendation was a new battery or not he hung up the phone on me. Abhorrent and completely unacceptable for a man to talk to a teenage girl and a single mom in that way, let alone as customers. My daughter went in for an oil change, Grease Monkey charged her for an extra quart. The next day…read moreshe was complaining her car was blowing white smoke when starting. Googled the issue and top hit was oil overfilled. Checked the oil level and it was 1/3 of the way up the stick or about 5 inches . I took it back and they drained the extra out saying some cars take more even for the same engine which was puzzling. Took home checked the level and it was still 1/5 up the stick or 2 inches. Took it back again and they redid the oil change showing me the level before I left. No more smoking. Fast forward two weeks, my son in law took his Audi A3 for an oil change to the same Grease Monkey in Clinton. I told him to tell them if his car needs more than 5 quarts which is the base price to say we'll add the rest at home. The base price for full synthetic was $89. When they finished and he went to pay they asked for $135. They said they used upgraded oil, filter, and whatever else. Nothing was told to him prior for the upsell. They just did the work. This Grease Monkey has been our go to up to this point. My daughter played soccer with the owner's granddaughter so I'm adding this review in hopes they see this and can make some policy or personnel changes. Until then I'll take my business elsewhere.
