I haven't driven my car at night in many months and this morning I had to take my husband to the airport at 5:30 a.m. As he walked to my car he noticed one of the headlights was out. We drove to the airport with just one eye and luckily did not get pulled over by the cops. First order of business on getting home from dropping him off at the airport was to replace the bulb, but my husband is the one who installs things like that. I went into O'Reilly and asked if they could install a new bulb for me. No problem. The employee showed me the bulb options and once purchased, he replaced the bulb and had me test it. I was dropping my daughter off for her first quarter at Davis yesterday. It rained and on the way up there from Oakland, one of my windshield wipers flew off the car on I80. I called O'Reilly. The person who answered the phone was extremely helpful and told me I could order online. If I entered my specific make and model of car, only the windshield wipers that match my vehicle would show up. I drove over and they delivered the wiper to my car. The young man who brought it over was kind enough to install it for me so I never had to get out of the car. I normally don't review chain stores, but this one is really very good. read more

I had the most amazing customer service experience yesterday!!! A huge shout out to LILLIANA!!!!! My night lights have not been working for a while, thus limiting my ability to drive at night. I had gone to a couple of auto parts stores, and was basically told they were busy and go to a dealership. I was trying to avoid going to a dealership because I knew it would entail a huge cost. When I asked Lilliana for assistance, she said sure, and she went outside to look at the lights on the car. She took out the bulb on the right side, she found it was burned out, and showed me what what the problem. I shared the other light is also out, it took a bit more work, but she was able to get the bulb out. She replaced the (2) burnt bulbs. And now I have lights!!!!!! She made my day!!!! Today we came to find a replacement battery for my 2017 Honda civic. Miguel helped us the entire time, was very friendly and helpful. I brought my boyfriend assuming he would have to help (or rather I would help him) replace the battery. To my surprise, Miguel asked if we needed assistance, tools etc. and actually handled the battery replacement from start to finish (including battery recycling). Miguel was super nice and even though he was juggling other customers, phone calls etc. he made sure to explain what my options were as far as batteries and warranties. This is a historically well known standard part of any mechanics set of tools that is generic to all makes and models and valuable for cleaning any and all parts that a mechanic encounters. I'm a female millennial, who knows nothing about cars, but my headlight was out, and there's no way I'm paying a mechanic to change it for me. (Plus YouTube said it was easy.) Of course when I popped open my hood, it actually looked like an engine... you know, the part of the car you don't touch because you'll probably destroy something? Anyways, I head to O'Reilly (because high ratings on yelp) and yup, the reviews hold true. The staff is so amazingly helpful. Usman not only directs me to the right bulb, he actually installs it for me, which actually ended up requiring two people because my car is so wonky, and the bulb was located in a hard to access area. (As in, YouTube was wrong. No way I could've done it myself) Plus, they had a free check engine light diagnosis! And because my car was super old, they couldn't find the port to plug in the device, so Usman was literally bending backwards to search under the steering wheel area and under the passenger side. Anyways thanks so much for everyone! You guys were so helpful, and especially Usman! I'm sorry you had to work on my super hot car, that was baking under the super hot sun. Long overdue review: Went in two years ago trying to get some oil for my trip back home (LA) and everyone there was great and very friendly Thomas V. ended up helping me find my oil and put oil in my car. He was very knowledgeable about everything my car needed and helped me understand how to put oil in it. I want to advise anyone from going to this store. My daughter went to get a brake light bulb. The employees said it wasn't a light bulb that was needed and began working on the car and disconnecting wires leaving the car unable to run. It was closing time and I was calling them to try to find a solution and they just hung up on me. They left my daughter stranded. The next day I drove 2 1/2 hours to their store waited 2 hours for a tow and the car was in the shop for 5 days. O'Reilly's district manager they pride themselves on having good customer service. Yet that was 5 months ago and I'm still waiting to be reimbursed for my damages. I have been calling, leaving messages and emailing and I am still waiting. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered and it was a very scary experience for my daughter to have to go through. read more

AAA sent over a contractor to replace my battery and they didn't have the right one. I was told to get one from Costco and call back and they would install it for free. This was apparently a full on lie which I didn't find out until after I bought the battery. Liliana and a man I didn't catch the name of installed my battery for me free of charge. They were great! 100% recommend this store. I tried to tip them and they wouldn't take it. I really appreciate the help I received here. They helped me out when I was in a tough spot.
