Me and my wife had one of the WORST experiences today when dealing with what we now believe is a faulty battery. The back story is a month prior we stopped at Batteries Plus with a concern that when starting the truck 1st thing in the morning there seemed to be a pretty strong draw down when starting the truck, so much the concern that we live about an hour from that location. The person (we believe to be the manager of the store) tested the battery. When testing the battery, he did notice that it appeared to have about 70% life left but in his opinion not enough to take any further action but for us to keep an eye on it. He did further elaborate that if the problem continued to come back, he would make it right and replace the battery. Yesterday the truck nearly failed to start and remember what the guy from Batteries Plus said last month, we felt today was a good day to finally resolve the issue with the battery after all the battery has a 4 year warranty that we were 18 months in on. Today when we stopped in it was like a scene out of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Obviously, the person who we spoke with last month wasn't there but what was in place was two of the MOST unprofessional absolutely worst employees to encounter. At one point both me and my wife began filming the encounter with the intent to protect ourselves and to hold as evidence to in the matter of how poorly Batteries Plus of Weatherford performed. We have now decided not to hassle with this 3rd rate company anymore and buy a new battery from a company that knows how to take care of their customers. It is pretty clear Batteries Plus does not honor their warranty and you're only wasting your time if you deal with this location.

The first place only told me where the two sites that had my needed battery in stock. So, I showed up to the second place, this one. They were unaware I was on my way and what was needed. My understanding the process should have been the first place should call and confirm the second site had the required battery and what was going to be expected. They had not. So, this place took control and satisfied my warranty and was very pleasant to work with. Too bad they are not closer or this would be my go to place for battery needs.

I called them and was told this was normal with a new battery as it "learned" a new vehicle. I was told to drive it about 20 miles and all would be OK. My wife got stranded in the middle of a 4 lane highway. The truck required towing to a mechanic. Found the voltage regulator failing. They insisted that any reputable battery dealer would have checked that when installing a new battery. I called Interstate back and was told, "You didn't ask us to check the system". Not good.

And I didn't feel like driving to Cedar Hill or Arlington so I stuck it out. Our company has a corporate account with them and he said "well we're franchise so we don't do that ". He replaced the batteries and it seemed like it bothered him to do it. Last time I visit this place. Keep "your franchise " to yourself. I've been to batteries plus in Arlington, Mansfield and Cedar Hill and all of those have been awesome. For a new store you might want to re-evaluate your employees.

When we got back to our car, the engine would not start. It was immobilized. A jump-start did not help... To make a long story short, we called a few places. Joe came to our location within 25 minutes, so we did not need a tow. He got the engine started within 10 minutes, told us to get a new battery, and we were able to drive to an auto parts store to buy the needed parts. After installing a new battery, we completed our road trip without further problems.
