I ordered a remanufactured one from Autozone and their vendor was not able to provide them one after a 2 week wait. I found Northlake Auto Recyclers online and they had the head I needed in stock and already pulled. It was off a 2018 Dodge Journey. Cost for the head was $125. They come with a disclaimer that heads are for use as cores to be rebuilt only and are only guaranteed not to be cracked or warped. I took the head to a machine shop and the tech said it was in such good condition that he did not recommend rebuilding it and only did a quick milling of the sealing surfaces to be sure it was true and clean for the head gasket. Just started up the car and it runs great. I highly recommend this place. It is not a junkyard. It is more similar to a parts store but all the parts are used. You go in, tell the guys at the counter what you want, and they go in back and get it off a shelf for you. They have tons of parts for late model cars. The employee said they specialize in cars 7 years and newer.

They will pay for an uber or Lyft to take you within a certain range and pick you back up. It's great for remote workers to drop off before work and pickup at lunch etc. *They usually send out $20 oil change coupons The bad: *The coupons are to get you in the door and sell your car or buy a new one. Every time I have went they are texting me or giving me fliers about selling my car. I'm willing to put up with this for the $20 oil change. *The following happened to me today and I'm VERY irritated. I bought tires at Costco and they TOOK OFF my Costco sticker for when my tires need to be rotated and sent me home with a sheet noting an alignment should be done next visit and it is $189. So now I have to call Costco to ask when my car should be serviced by them because Toyota removed the sticker. Removing the sticker had me furious as soon as I noticed at the light pulling out. It reminded me of another situation. Prior to getting new tires at Costco my car had only been serviced at Toyota. My tires needed a tool to get them off. So Costco could not take them off, I called Toyota who informed me they wouldn't have used my tool as they use a universal one. I sure as heck wasn't in my replacement tire area removing any of the tools. So I had to order the tool to get the tire off, make another appointment at Costco. Just a giant waste of time and now my time is wasted again because they removed the sticker. It's sad, I think this was my last visit to Team Toyota Service..over a sticker.

After servicing my vehicle, the dealership installed a part incorrectly and returned the vehicle without properly inspecting its work. My vehicle also had extensive damage that was not present when I brought it in. The leather and seats were cut and scratched, other areas of the interior were scratched, and the exterior of the vehicle was scratched as well. A portion of the cigarette lighter/ashtray compartment was also broken. The dealership placed the large, dirty protective vehicle cover inside the passenger area and left it across my back seat. I was allowed to drive all the way home without anyone telling me it was there. I did not discover it until my daughter asked what the dirty cover was doing in the back seat. I am attaching photographs that clearly show: The part that was installed incorrectly The cuts and scratches to the leather and seats The scratches and damage throughout the interior The scratches to the exterior of the vehicle The broken portion of the cigarette lighter/ashtray compartment The dirty protective cover left inside my vehicle These photographs show exactly how Mercedes-Benz of Orland Park returned my vehicle to me. My vehicle was improperly reassembled, damaged inside and outside while in the dealership's care, and returned to me in an unacceptable condition. My complaint was then ignored. A luxury dealership should carefully inspect its work and treat every customer's property with professionalism and respect. Mercedes-Benz of Orland Park failed to do so. I own two Mercedes-Benz vehicles and have supported this brand, but this experience has completely changed how I feel about Mercedes-Benz. Because of the improper workmanship, extensive damage, lack of accountability, and failure to follow up, I will never purchase another Mercedes-Benz. However, when I returned in October 2025, I was told the dealership had changed their policy in January 2025 and would no longer honor the lifetime agreement for my tires. ​While they granted me "one final rotation" as a "favor," they made it clear they would not honor the terms I was sold on just weeks before their policy change. It is now May 2026, and I am still deeply disappointed. A policy change should apply to new sales, not retroactively cancel promises made to customers who already paid for a product. ​I chose this dealership over competitors like Discount Tire specifically because of their word on lifetime services. Now, that trust is gone. ​Note to management: I have sent an amendment email to Subaru Customer Service regarding this breach of the original sales agreement and am currently waiting on a response. Unfortunately, our experience with City VW of Highland was by far the most disappointing. When purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle, customers expect the dealership to conduct a thorough multi-point inspection, often covering well over 100 items. Based on our experience, I seriously question how thorough that inspection was. Within 10-15 minutes of driving the vehicle off the lot, the oil warning light came on. After getting the car home, I noticed streaking on the passenger side of the windshield and discovered the windshield wiper was held together with electrical tape. We also found stickers on the vehicle's interior ceiling. When closing the passenger door, I heard a rattling noise and later found beer caps and an air freshener can wedged inside the storage compartment. Altogether, these issues added to the impression that the car had not been properly cleaned, inspected, or prepared before delivery. Individually, these issues may seem minor, but together they raise serious concerns about the quality of the dealership's inspection and preparation process. If these obvious problems were missed, it makes me wonder what else may have been overlooked. Normally, the oil warning light would have prompted us to return to the dealership immediately. However, after already spending more than five hours there during the purchase process (on Monday of Memorial Day weekend, not a high-volume day at the dealership) --with little to no hospitality from the dealership beyond access to a vending machine fulled with junk food--we had absolutely no desire to go back. Overall, this experience fell well below the standard we've come to expect from Volkswagen dealerships. The entire process was so frustrating and disappointing that it honestly makes us hesitant to purchase another vehicle anytime soon.
