First, I'll state up front that the dealership made things right in the end, but getting there was…read morepainful. Some of the issues were unforgivable. The process took over 4 hours although we told them we were coming, specified the used CR-V we wanted and didn't dicker over the price. Everyone moved at a glacial pace. After dark, when we finally got into our CR-V and drove away, about halfway home we saw a crack, top to bottom, on the passenger side windshield. We had test-driven the car in daylight and it wasn't cracked then. At least one of their employees, maybe more, knowingly let us drive away in a damaged and potentially unsafe vehicle. They made sure they were not inconvenienced in getting the windshield fixed, but we certainly were -- it took over a week, the communication was slow and frustrating, and we had to drive from Chicago to Lansing instead of their allowing us to fix it here. And, they didn't mention one car fob was missing until the sale was closed, this after we had told the salesman we specifically wanted the trim level with dual seat memory. We like our SUV, but we made sure to take off the Napleton license plate frames. Never again.

Two days prior, I visited the dealership and received a printed offer showing an out-the-door price around $32,000 along with a $16,995 trade-in value for my vehicle. Before returning to the dealership, my father called to confirm the car was still available, and separately my salesperson called me directly and stated they would still honor the deal if I came in. After driving about 45 minutes back to the dealership, I was then told the vehicle was "tied up in a sale" and that if I still wanted the vehicle, the price would suddenly increase by $3,500 because they planned to sell it to CarMax instead. I understand vehicles can sell quickly, but the communication and handling of the situation felt misleading and disrespectful of my time. If the terms had changed or the vehicle was no longer realistically available, that should have been communicated before asking me to come back to the dealership. I'm leaving this review so other customers are aware of my experience and can make informed decisions when negotiating here.

I had an oil changed and the brakes repaired. At the check out time sticker shock, I was presented with the 4% service fee because I chose credit to pay. I was livid because I was not aware of this fee. This is the place I have been coming since ownership of my vehicle. One I feel as though this fee could be incorporated in the price and tell me we offer discounts if you pay cash. Second because you say this is a new processing fee then make sure customers are aware before they agree to service not after. I was very upset. I see this happening in many business and the customers aren't aware. Many people don't complain well I am that one. If I decide to return then that's my choice and I am now aware of your 4% fee. You didn't even offer rides to home within a certain mileage range or a vehicle. I spent extra on Uber and service fees. It may not seem like a lot to you the owner but it is to me. I don't like your policy and I would say hidden. Very angry

My mother was promise a car to be delivered at a certain time and was reached out to at the exact time to be told it was not happening. It was not her message that upset us but the way she spoke to us. My mother had cash not asking for a hand out at all. After Carla spoke to us her boss he then called with no apologies and said fine go somewhere else. Not a place I would buy a car and you shouldn't either.

At first, I was told they couldn't find the problem!?!?! Then, I was told i needed a "internal air temperature sensor" and i would have to wait until the part arrived. THAT took six weeks. I brought the truck in and they replaced the part. I paid the $500, grabbed my key, went out to start the truck and the SAME PROBLEM PERSISTED. The check engine light was also still on - after paying $500! They were about to close and I needed my truck for work. I was also yold the engine code may clear on its own. It didn't! In addition, NOW, the truck stalls at stop lights! It goes into limp mode. Not only did they NOT repair my truck. But, it has NEW symptoms. Upon closer inspection of the invoice, it has on a second page under "deffered recommendations" that i need a high pressure fuel pump and one time use fuel rail. No one mentioned this to me when I brought the truck in for repair or i would've told them to replace those parts!!! Now, my truck is unreliable with only 38,000 miles on it and I've sent a few emails to get an explanation but no response. I would call. But, when I call service, no one answers and I have to press zero and am put on hold and I have a life!!! The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the employees that checked me in for service were professional and polite. Im so disgisted and disappointed that I paid $500 for a repair that did NOT solve the problem and I have not been contacted after I reached out to at least 3 people at this establishment. Arent these guys supposed to be experts in Chevy repair?!?!?! At this point, I would recommend against going to Phillips Chevy of Lansing.

I purchased a 2025 CPO Armada…read morefrom them with only a little over 9,000 miles on the odometer and had it delivered to the state where I reside...almost 450 miles away. For a vehicle that was sold as CPO, it had an open recall for a software update that wasn't performed. I also made multiple calls over an almost 2 week time span to get the vehicle scheduled for delivery. The communication at this place is non-existent. Too many transfers to voicemails every time I called. When it finally arrived, the exterior seemed washed, but the interior was filthy, had mud on the backs of the front seats and carpet, the rear door also had a little mud, it had a slight odor of cigarettes, the cabin air filter was full of small particles/leaves, and there were a used pair of Nike shoes in the 3rd row that belonged to someone at the dealership. When the transport driver arrived with the Armada, he wouldn't take my trade back to the dealership, citing he wasn't made aware of doing so. When I called the dealership to inform them, they explained that an additional driver was coming a few days later to pick up my trade, all while the dealership already had my trade listed for sale on their website. Imagine shopping for an advertised vehicle on their website, while the actual vehicle is still almost 450 miles away in someone's driveway?!? I'm glad the process is over. I've accepted the subpar experience and paid, out of own pocket, to have the Armada correctly detailed, all filters replaced, the open recall is scheduled to be done at a different Nissan dealership near me, and a fresh oil change was done. I trust nothing maintenance-wise this dealership performed on the vehicle, especially since they completed a CPO checklist and sold it with an OPEN recall. Have you seen the price of an Armada?!? They aren't cheap and this dealership in South Holland needs to do better. I love Nissans and have driven them for over 20 years, but my next purchase will be elsewhere. Such a bizarre experience.
