Instead of a professional discussion, I was met with shocking hostility from one of your managers (a tall gentleman of Middle Eastern descent). He directly attacked my integrity, stating, "I've seen this trick many times; people bring fake quotes from Richardson or Prosper to deceive us." He further alleged, without any evidence, that the other dealer would add a markup of over $6,000. While I respect a dealership's right to decline a price match, I find it unacceptable to be accused of dishonesty. This lack of professional ethics is not only a personal insult but a significant blow to the Toyota brand image. As a direct result of this experience, I returned to Longo Toyota of Prosper the following day and purchased the vehicle there. The contrast in service was stark; they treated me with respect, and my wife is thrilled with our new car. I will be sharing this experience with my community to ensure other buyers know to take their business to dealerships that actually value their customers.

If you are unfortunate enough to own this car and experience this issue you know that there is no easy fix. When I arrived I pulled up, handed the tech the keys, and walked inside to check in. Lawrence was so nice and helpful, let me know a time frame, and explained where the restrooms and snacks were located. He also let me know there was a recall that they would also take care of while they had my car back there. After about 3 hours Lawrence called me up and informed me that they were not able to get the sunroof closed and the cost of getting it fixed is almost $11,000. Having just moved 1000 miles from home, looking for a job, and have now loss my reliable transportation I broke down right at his desk. Lawrence proceeded to go talk to other managers to see how he could help me. He mentioned that they could take the headliner down and MAYBE be able to get it closed that way. I had to take the risk. About 4 hours later he comes out to the lobby with a technician named Tristan. Poor Tristan had been fighting with my sunroof all day, but was determined to help me and continued to try everything he could possibly think of. Eventually all his hard work payed off and he was able to get closed and even washed my car for me. These two men may have just been doing their job to other people, but they really did change my life. They offered support, determination, and the willingness to go above and beyond for a customer. Having just moved to Texas this was my first experience with this location and I now will continue to have my car serviced here. P.S. Let this be a reminder to NOT get a Toyota Camry with a panoramic moonroof!!

Then, the owner proceeded to tell me that my car was not safe to drive because when they stripped the plug it caused an oil leak! Then, he backtracked and said they didn't strip the plug! He said it must have happened the last time my oil was changed. They did my last oil change! I took my chances and left and drove over to another service station. The owner of KwikKar is dishonest. Needless to say after I lost my job, that set me back yet again to only having what is in my car because the storage locker I got after I moved out of my apartment was auctioned over a $50 surprise rental increase. Don't make any mistakes, I take full responsibility for my situation but I point this out because I want you all to understand the situation I am in, and the depth of care this Meineke showed me, right up to the owner of the location spending hours working on my car when the starter got fried. I literally have nowhere else to turn, finally receiving two job offers starting next week and being on the verge of finally starting to see some light at the end of this tunnel. Right now though DoorDash was my only income and even that got suspended because I had to cancel an order when my car wouldn't crank. Stranded in the parking Lott of a planet fitness for 3 days before deciding to come to this Meinekes, after being turned away from countless mechanics including other Meinekes because of my current financial situation. I had honestly lost faith in people, businesses, life, and even god himself. A few days ago my mind was going places it has never gone before into dark places I hope it never goes again towards ending things for myself and simply not having to deal with this struggle anymore. Days with no food, no ability to make an income, no ability to move to even attempt to make an income will do that to a person. I've been a paramedic in my past and I never understood how people get to the point of taking their own life but now I understand. I came to this meineke and told the my situation; they immediately started working on my car because I had a job interview I couldn't afford to miss. Everyone in this shop from the guy at the front desk, to the mechanics were all working on my car trying to rush to ensure I made it to my interview. They're the only reason I was able to get there and get hired into a job that will be better financially than the one I lost months ago. A few days later because of problems that already existed with the vehicle prior to this situation, and because of being in a rush to get back to making money to catch up from the downtime, the car once again left me stranded and I came back to the only place that showed any concern for my situation. That is when I met Alex, the owner. Him and his entire team looked over my car and he then spent hours upon hours himself trying to get the problem fixed. As a 38 year old, I can honestly say that in all my years I have never once seen a business care about an individual customer so immensely. I have never once seen a business owner on the ground working vigorously in the sweltering sun during a 108 degree heat advisory for hours. Staying well past an hour beyond their store closing in an attempt to get me back up and running. Everyone at this location all the way up to the literal owner genuinely cares about people and the situation they're in. They're beyond fair and honest to their customer's and the quality of work they put into their customers vehicles is next to none. Money cannot begin to repay these folks for the kindness, respect, concern, and humanity they have shown me. I owe these people and in large part the owner so much more than money can ever repay for not only working so tirelessly on my vehicle and only source of income until I start my new jobs next week. But for also showing me that people actually still care about other people and giving me a chance to continue to climb back from rock bottom when no one else would.
