I needed a starter for my '86 Dodoge W-150 so I wnet to andance , They did not have one in new…read morewindsor but said the newburgh store, about 5 miles away had one . I went to pick it up , took it home , tyhen installed it . The new starter from them did not work so I removed it from the truck , took it to the new windsor store where they tested it , on first try it did not work , he switched a couple wires and the starter spun , he said " The starter works " I said are you sure ., It is only two bolts and two wires " he said , " something is not telling the started to operate . " This is an 86 , there is no computer, " check your ground he says " . Well I know the started grounds through the bolts clamping it to the bell housing . I took it hone , reinstalled it , it did not work . So I order one from Rock Auto online ( for less money ) . In three days the starter arrives. The first thing I notice is the Rock Auto starter is made in Detroit , Where the advance one is made in China. So today I install the starter from Rock auto and the truck fire right up . Never again .

I used to frequent…read morethis store, and I still come here for those hard-to-find parts (I stopped frequenting it because I have other stores closer to me). I stopped in today after searching other stores for an electrical part. The customer ahead of me was a flat out thug who was being rude and disrespectful to the owner, a Chinese man. The owner kept his cool and remained professional. I saw the owner gladly refund a large amount of cash to the thug, who continued running his mouth and giving the owner a hard time. The owner handled it like a champ. The owner was polite to me and spent a decent amount of time searching the computer for the part I was looking for. Unfortunately, he was not able to get the part I needed, but did advise me that only the dealerships sell it. That saved me a bunch of running around and Googling. My past experiences here have all been pleasant as well. You'll occasionally get undesirable customers in here who just want to argue. Unfortunately, that takes away from us customers who might need help finding a part. The prices here are competitive. Overall, this is a good store in a not-so-good neighborhood.

He used to be a NAPPA dealer, but has since dropped that franchise, but he always used different sources to find the best price and quality. Entire staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. They speak Spanish as well if you need that. Great resource for the Hudson Valley, makes shopping the local guy not only the thing to do, but the wise thing as well.
