We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. The worker would not take it back and then said that he would give me a 50% refund on the $117.00 battery and that is not acceptable. as I reflect on my purchases from Interstate I have had to buy a new battery for my wheeler every year, if they only last one year does that mean they are designed to fail after a year weather they have had acid in them or not. While I've stopped in here before for a variety of low-demand purchases--bulbs, wiper blades, oil,…read moresupplies, etc-- the O'Reilly Guys get my top thanks due to our most recent visit. Our Prius had died on my son while he was away at college, requiring a jump start from the campus police. Expecting the aux battery was near or at the end of its life I gave O'Reilly a call because we've bought Optima yellow-top batteries for other cars from them before. (Though this one was purchased from a different car shop a few years ago.) So O'Reilly had me bring in this current battery and they ran tests on it for us. Considering it's a more expensive battery I appreciate that they wanted to make sure the problem was diagnosed properly rather than just sell us a replacement. Turns out the battery has another year or year-and-a-half of life remaining on it and our son just needs to make sure to drive the car often enough so it doesn't go dead. That said, we got the current battery fully charged and sent him away with a portable battery-powered jumper so that he doesn't need to find someone to help him if it happens again. Now he has a warning in advance for the upcoming battery replacement.
