Worse customer service from Troy on 9-1-2025. I found out from the store that Troy is the Assistant Manager. Really you don't deserve that position. I bought a spray from them to remove the tree SAP and red stain on my car, so I went outside to apply the spray on my car but it did not work so I cane back within less than 10 minutes and Try wouldn't accept the return. His his poor judgment and defense, saying that I used so much of the spray which I did not. Poor customer service and I won't recommend anyone to deal with troy at the this particular store on Aliso Creek Road, Aliso Viejo. Chose another clerk or cashier but for sure not him. You take it back to return it they won't because it's been used. The other half of the employees just got released from prison with prison mentality. I'm all for helping someone back in their feet but when you gotta dude puffing up telling you they won't take the part back aye. You bark back and you look over and the half tard is calling the cops. Autozone is my new parts shop. People are friendly, helpful and more knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer they will find it for you. Customer service is on point! Go to AutoZone or to another O'Reilly location. This place will not back you if they sell you a defective product that damages your car. I bought three cans of color matched paint and two of the three were defective. The two defective cans were used on my bumper and ruined the project. I used the one functioning can on my grill and that project turned out great. I've attached pictures of both projects here. You can clearly see based on how the grill came out that technique was not the issue. I tried to make a reasonable claim with O'Reilly for the damage. My first estimate from a paint shop was $677. I instead went to another shop that gave me a much lower price, which I then haggled down to $200. I asked O'Reilly to reimburse me only that $200, which did not include fees like taxes and waste disposal, or my rental car. O'REILLY DID NOT DENY THAT THE PAINT WAS DEFECTIVE. Instead, they said their warranty does not cover consequential damage from their defective products. This is especially frustrating since the first manager I spoke to said they DID cover the damage and just needed my paint shop to note in the estimate that the paint caused the damage, which they did. Unfortunately that's not the manager I reached on my next visit to file a complaint. The second manager denied my claim, and he even tried blaming the damage on me. He said that the paint must have started running immediately and that I continued spraying anyway. He didn't ask if that was the case...he simply accused me of being dishonest/an idiot. For $200 it's unfortunately not worth the time to write a letter to their corporate department to contest this decision. But I'm hoping this review at least causes others to choose a different auto parts store and potentially save themselves the hassle I went through. Maybe if they lose some business for being unreasonable, they'll change how they handle the next time their products damage someone's car. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would Hello to who ever this concerns, I am writing this to tell everyone about the type of employees O'Reilly has at the Oceanside O'Reilly (502 Oceanside Blvd Oceanside, CA 92054 United States) is a really messed up store not only did they have a manager who repeatedly had sexual harassment allegations against him manger named is Saul, but they never did nothing to him just moved him to different stores while he used his manager position to get his workers to keep their mouths shut or he would fire them because he could give them a raise or kill their job. But no they had these allegations and decided each time he should take a "seminar" but just moved him stores.and now just now moved him to the vista location(1220 E Vista Way Vista, CA 92084United States) where he still works for O'Reilly's so clearly them as HR and above don't care about what the female employees have to go through. Also has a new manager at the O'Reilly's at Oceanside but won't let him hire new employees to help him while more are leaving and he's doing the work that takes employees because he's cleaning up the mess that Saul the previous manager left for him to clean while he gets to leave for a new place to hire more people at the vista store but won't send people to the Oceanside store even when they asked for the help. So clearly something is going wrong with how O'Reilly's HR if this is how they as a company treat their employees. Not trying to speak as a business owner but if someone is running a business and the employees you have are being harassed and the person still has their job while the good employees suffer then clearly you fucked up along the way as a company. If I was someone who trying to find a good place to shop or work I would avoid O'Reilly's they clearly like to keep there employees who like to harass the female employees and discourage the ones who speak up read more

So to be completely honest I really don't know a whole lot about cars. I went into O'Reilly's with a few questions and needs for my older Nissan Sentra. I was actually trying to sell it and it wouldn't pass smog so I needed a few things from the auto store. The person who helped me, her name was Miriam and she was really really great! Not only did she answer all my questions but she also went outside and gave me a few pointers on the car. I had a check engine light on so she gave me a diagnostic and printed out the sensors I needed and she even printed out a 'how to' guide so I can save money and change the sensors myself! My Mom was saying that her car seemed like it was having trouble starting. I didn't have time to take a look and directed my 84 year old Mom to this location which is only about a 1/4 mile from her home. They are supposed to be able to check the battery, alternator and starter. She said the person just put something on the battery looked at a gauge then advised her that she needed a new battery and asked which battery she wanted to buy. No other test was done. I advised her to get another opinion or wait until I can take a look. She took it to Firestone who advised there was nothing wrong with her battery or charging system. It's been 3 weeks and she hasn't had an issue. If she had listened to O'Reilly she would have been out $150 needlessly. They shouldn't offer a service if they are not competent enough to perform the service. read more

Very bad experience yesterday. I waited in line to buy two quarts of oil, and the guy at the register grumbled the whole time that 'he should be outta here.' So I have been to this location a few times. Not very friendly but whatever you usually go in knowing what you need. I go needing a specific part and had saved on my phone the part and price for that part for both AutoZone and Oreilly's in case depending on which store I went to. Anyway I showed the lady, Asst Mgr her shirt said, the part and asked if they had it she realized it was the AutoZone pic I had saved so looked it up herself quickly dismissing me saying "I have to order it. It is 100 some odd dollars" i said forget it because it was $10.29 at AutoZone. I walked outside, looked up the Oreilly part, $10.99 went back in the guy went got it...$11.84 total. Ridiculous. I can't tell you how much I love the staff here. This is not auto related, although I buy parts here all the time and have always had amazing customer service. My bulldog Louie was having a heat stroke right outside of the store. My girlfriend went in and Jon and another staff member brought out water to help me cool down my dog. It was completely my fault as the heat wasn't that bad when we left the house, but got progressively worse. I couldn't get Louie to move at all. With the help of Oreilly's staff, as well as some passer bys, and my buddy Jason who saw us as well, I was able to get Louie back to my house before it was too late. Thank you so much Oreilly's. A. I generally like O'Reillys. But me and my friend (both females) walked in to get windshield wiper fluid. And this very sexist white male made multiple extremely rude, sexist comments towards us. He asked us what we were looking for & we told him we knew where it was. And then he said "wow breaking the stereo type for once" and we said "okay?" And then we ended up needing to run back in for a funnel and he made a comment about how "we can't find that, obviously". He also made a comment to me that women should always have proper language. It was extremely offensive. Just because I am a female doesn't mean I can't fill up my windshield fluid myself.
