    Went to look at this car . Got to the lot and was told the car was just in its way to the Orange County lot but could bring it back - The sales guy called and confirmed it was en route but if we started paperwork to show committed to buy would bring it back - I told them we could start the paperwork but would not commit until test drive - was told the were going to bring it back for us - the sales guy pulls the paperwork for the car and says the car is $16000 in their system - I show them this ad where the car is listed just over $13000 - he took a picture of the ad and went into the back room and mysteriously the car just sold and we could look at something else - walked out disgusted !

    I bought my truck from this dealer in 2021 and got an incredible deal (during COVID). Ever since, they have been have been sending letters and emails about buying my truck back. A couple weeks ago they began calling... I made an appointment to see what they would offer me. I expressed an interest in the bronco and went on a few test drives while they assessed my truck... After the test drives I made my way back to the dealer floor to look at numbers and they completely low balled the trade in value of my truck. I'm talking kbb poor condition trade in value. Btw - I have a pretty nice F150... it was a Ken Grody custom... I was completely insulted and they knew it. In addition, they are trying to sell me a 2025 bronco (it's the end of the year) at MSRP with no negotiating .. are you kidding me? The truck is basically last year's model. To treat a past customer like a total sucker is ridiculous. They completely wasted my time and now they are repeatedly calling me to return to the dealership...I'm never going back here...

    I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with the exceptional salesperson I had the pleasure of working with at Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad. I originally visited the dealership after speaking with another representative over the phone about a vehicle I found online. However, upon arrival, my initial interaction with a different salesperson was disappointing, and I felt frustrated enough to head back to my car, ready to leave. That's when another salesman, Rambo, approached me and kindly asked if everything was okay and if he could help in any way. Even though I was upset, his genuine concern and professionalism stood out immediately. He encouraged me to give him a chance to help, apologized for my earlier experience, and reassured me that he would do everything he could to make things right. I decided to stay--and I'm so glad I did. From that moment forward, Rambo provided outstanding customer service. Over the next couple of weeks, he consistently went above and beyond to answer my many questions. He was always responsive, sending photos and videos of different vehicles, and making sure I had all the information I needed to make the right decision.     My experience at this ford definitely surpassed my experience at other ford dealerships! Kevin Vera helped me buy my dream car, he was not pushy and made the process seamless. I came in the first time to look at a car and trade in my car. Kevin was realistic but nice about my trade in value. The upper management tried to convince me to lease a car when I did not want to, but they were not as pushy as other ford dealerships. When I told them no they respected that. The second time I came in, I knew what car I wanted so Kevin Vera had me sign all the paperwork online and talk to the financial department about warranty and my monthly payment over the phone before I came in. The process was quick. Once I came in to test drive the car, and I liked the car, I just paid my deposit and was ready to go. I highly recommend coming to this ford over the others around the area, such as Escondido and poway. And make sure to ask for Kevin Vera he will help you get the car of your dreams!

    Less than a month after buying my Explorer, I noticed an empty Ford OEM alarm box underneath the driver's seat. I also noticed a non functioning LED light above the steering wheel. I decided to take the panel off that was underneath the dash and I located the alarm "brain" and saw that the non functioning light was plugged into it. After reading the instructions that were in the box, I realized that one final step needed to be done to activate the alarm and it could only be done by the dealer. I spoke with Greg Ryan and he told me to bring the Explorer in and have the techs look at it. When I pointed out the missing step to activate the alarm, they took my vehicle to the back, performed the step, and voila! I now have a functioning alarm light and shock sensor. Thanks guys for the help! I look forward to returning soon.

    I hired Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic to diagnose an issue with my vehicle, at which point he…read moreadvised and recommended a radiator replacement. Before approving the work, I specifically asked in writing whether the parts being used were Nissan OEM or aftermarket. I received a direct response stating: "These are OEM parts." Based on that written confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the repair and payment. After the work was completed, I began experiencing serious issues with my vehicle, including stalling to the point where it was no longer safely drivable. Due to these failures, I had to take my vehicle to Nissan for further inspection. During that inspection, it became clear that the radiator installed was not OEM. Nissan also confirmed that OEM radiators would not present the way this one did, including the absence of proper identification. In addition, the coolant/transmission lines had been modified using generic hoses and clamps--something that would not be necessary with an OEM radiator, which is designed to use factory quick-connect fittings. These findings directly contradict what was promised to me in writing prior to the repair. As a direct result of the improper parts and installation, my vehicle sustained significant damage totaling over $15,000 and became unreliable and unsafe to drive, requiring additional time, expense, and inconvenience to address. When I attempted to resolve the situation, I requested receipts and documentation showing where the parts were purchased. These were not provided. In California, automotive repair providers are required to provide documentation and itemization of parts upon request, including itemized invoices and parts information, yet Kevin failed to do so. Instead, I was told that I was a "nightmare" customer and that I was "giving him a headache." He also attempted to shift blame by suggesting the damage must have been caused by a collision or another shop, despite the timeline and circumstances clearly tied to his work. Since then, my attempts to follow up have been ignored. At no point was I informed of any substitution, nor was I given the opportunity to approve the use of non-OEM parts. The use of OEM components was a key factor in my decision to proceed. When a mechanic diagnoses a repair, recommends replacement, and explicitly confirms OEM parts in writing, there is a clear expectation that those terms will be honored. That did not happen here. I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic verify all parts being installed, request documentation, and thoroughly inspect the work before accepting completion.

He came on time and did the repairs. I hired him again and he came on time, did the repairs (oil leak and 2 censors) and was done within an hour and a half and solved all the issues that I've had ongoing with my car. If I would've taken it to a shop it would have been sitting there all day. FYI I have a hybrid and not every one can work on this type of car. Definitely using again.

We called Dave's, explained to them what was going on, and got the car towed in to the shop. From the moment we came in to the moment we left, we knew we were in good hands. This shop was very honest and transparent and did a really great job with the repair. We enjoyed a sunset run around town and the before our run was done, the car was ready to go! Our Sprinter van is older and we have been to a couple of different mechanics in different areas. Dave's is the gold standard. If we lived in the area, they would be our shop. This is the best experience we have had with a car mechanic and would consider ourselves lucky if we broke down near his shop again.

Due to the holiday they were not open, like we originally thought but when we were told Monday we just thought maybe they were going to be open regardless. We were able to reach someone and were told the car would be ready the following morning, we showed up and the car was still being worked on. We came back a few hours later and the car was still actively being worked on but was finished within the hour. Prices were reasonable and as far as we can tell the work was done properly.
