Customer service is lacking, to say the least. Item was in stock and said it would ship via FedEx next day. Item was not received in 5 days (we live less than 100 miles away in the same state) so I called to inquire. The person who answered my call (after being closed on weekends) was curious why it wasn't shipped and said he would call back when he found out. Later that afternoon, I get an email saying the item shipped but no call. I call to ask for a refund on the shipping cost since they failed to ship it on time and item was now late as a gift. Another person named "Jeff" said they did not fail to ship it but they found a glitch and fixed it. VERY RUDE on the phone. Customer service is doing the company a disservice! Ghia floor mats seem to fit. Have holes to be bolted down which my husband's does not have. Once finally shipped, item came as claimed.p read more

Not happy with window seals purchased for my Ghia... I've tried calling & emails to no avail. At first everyone is eager to sell, but when questioned their merchandise... crickets Purchased seals for Ghia's pop out windows. There're pre-molded, but curvature is oposite to car's so they're impossible to install. I've asked for confirmation that I do have the right part, and some guidance. Zero response. Guess it's on to the next vendor. For such a small industry you'd think customer service would be a priority. read more

After placing 4 calls and sending one email to this business, more specifically Dave the Manager, they deserve no more than a one star. They refuse to return my calls or email regarding both bumpers I purchased from them for my Karmann Ghia. The bumpers started flaking chrome within a year of purchasing. I have asked numerous times if they will stand behind them and they refuse to address the problem. I would suggest never buying anything from Airhead with chrome. read more

When I moved to Ventura and found KGPR, I couldn't believe it was in my backyard. The guys at KGPR and Airhead are always there for the aircooled driver. They have most of the parts I need, the staff is courteous and friendly, and there's always something cool to look at in the front office. Restored my '63 Baja Bug with AirHead, floor boards in particular my mechanic really liked. I later purchased one for him as payment for all he did. I paid with cashier check, spoke with Dave once & then Mike few days later. Both said they were in stock. Had the floor board sent to my mechanic. Six weeks later ask my mechanic if he like the floor board. He tex "never got it". Surprised, I called. After three different stories. My check was never received, 4 days later, they found it. Then, never lost. It was cashed 7 days after it was received yet my product was never sent nor was I notified of the stats. Sadly after I emailed the owner. They mailed a check back to me with no comps or apologize. My mechanic thought I blew him off. I have to say "very bad customer service''. read more

I really love what these guys do for the Treffen run every summer, I've taken part in that for several years... 5 stars! But... their retail experience is less than great. Actually I'll never use it again; I ordered a small shipment of basic parts over the phone (1st mistake, no written confirmation) After the parts failed to arrive for several days after the shipping estimate I called back to Airhead. The parts were shipped to the wrong address, an old addy they had on record but NOT the address I gave them over the phone. (They had no problems billing the right address I might add.) I was told the parts would be sent the following week. A week came and went and no parts, (or word that something was delayed!) I called again and found out they had not gotten the parts back from the wrong address they had shipped to... (Not my problem!) ...and instead of just shipping a new package to me while they waited to get the original back they did nothing. I mentioned this to the salesperson, (apparently not event their normal sales person as she was in charge of eBay sales,) she said oh that would have been a good idea but again instead of just shipping a new package to me while they waited to get the original back I was told I'd have to wait until the original was returned and that only then it would be sent to the correct address. I was given a tracking number of the original back to airhead... (Again, not my problem!!) So now it's been three weeks and I still have nothing but a tracking number that does me no good. Maybe after a month I'll finally get what I ordered... Do yourself a favor, shop your local air cooled shop and reserve airhead for cruises, not retail. read more

I've been restoring my 1972 Karmann Ghia, and have bought most of my parts from Karmann Ghia Parts & Restoration, the same company as Airhead Parts. I have to say I have been extremely impress with their customer service, especially thanks to Jason and their management team for resolving my issue. I recently purchased their entire door rubber kit and quarter rubber kit last rainy season, but unfortunately I ran into an issue with them sticking to the windows, which eventually tore a part as I opened my windows. Considering the cost of these weatherstrips they should have lasted for years to come. So I sent them photos and explained my concerns, and that I only use proper cleaning supplies, i.e. Meguiars cleaning products. Within a week they had sent me an entire new set of weatherstrips. I was quite impress, and they have made me into a loyal customer. I would like to visit their facility one of these days when I visit southern CA and grab more goodies, and personally thank them for their customer service.
