I go to this location sometimes because it's convenient and close to my home, but it is always busy and seems very understaffed. I went in to buy a replacement battery for my car. My car needed to be jumped just to get to this store. After waiting in line for almost 10 minutes I was finally assisted and the person at the register was able to locate the battery I needed for my car. When I asked if they were able to install it for me I was told "No. There's only two of us." and was given a small wrench to borrow to replace my battery with. Thankfully a stranger in the parking lot who had the correct tools was able to assist me with installing my car battery, because I wouldn't have been able to do it myself and only purchased the car battery from this store because I read that they could install the battery for me. I will not be going to this location anymore and will try my luck at AutoZone next time. read more

Everytime I've been to this store the staff has always been quick, curt, but also friendly at the same time. In addition to buying all my parts here I have also returned a few. The return process has always been smooth I just give them my phone number and everything I've bought at oriellys comes up. I remember one of the employees I think his name was Drew even said he was going to "do everything in his power to make me leave a happy satisfied customer!" That day I returned a set of ignition wires that I didn't end up needing. The manager on duty was also right there behind him giving him codes and such he needed to move process along. I think he's the; manager taller gentleman in his late 50s maybe early 60s. He is always very helpful too and very knowledgeable. In and out, they did not stock a specialty spark plug unfortunately, and could not cross reference to an in stock option. As a side note, I acknowledge that this is not Santa Barbara, but someone needs to do something to clean up this area (shopping center). It cost me 5 bucks in panhandlers just to get to my car. Best auto parts store in Ventura County. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Guadalupe let me exchange the taillights and was very nice about letting me try 2 different bulbs so they wouldn't flicker. I bought some headlight bulbs online and they were the wrong size and wouldn't fit and the fog lights I bought kept flickering. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and helped me try and put the lights on. He was supper nice and friendly and very patient with helping me and educating me because I have a Mercedes Suv and everything is different/difficult on it. Thank you Joseph for all your help. We got off the freeway because it was raining so badly we could no longer see not to mention our windshield wipers were super bad. We got to the Oreilleys and bought replacement windshield wipers. Immediately without hesitation the employee offered to replace our wipers in the pouring rain. It took him no time and we were thankful because it would of taken us way longer. GREAT experience!! Dead battery early Saturday morning at our motel, needed a battery quickly. Called at 6:45 and was surprised to get an answer, "we open at 7:30, and yes we can install a battery". Got a jump start, drove over, and the doors opened a few minutes early. I got very courteous and prompt service, good advice on battery purchase, and was on the road at 7:45. I am a loyal O'reilly's customer but, today was one of the worst autoparts experiences I have encountered...maybe only 2nd to Pep Boys (NEVER have gone back to one since). I needed a car battery, looked online and the store I normally go to on Main st. in Ventura showed to have it in stock. Arrived and left car running due to battery issue just to find out that they in fact did NOT have a battery. The explanation...shows we have 2 in stock but, we actually don't. WTF? I don't know if that is an O'reilly corporate/website issue or store issue. So, employee said other O'reilly store in Ventura had 4 (I had him call to verify). I do go and they do have the battery. I ask to have it installed as I had no tools and I turned the car off because, you can't see car from inside store (like 1st store). The Asst. Mgr (Abner) tells me...we don't have anyone that can do that for you. We can call someone because the battery states professional installion recommended and car will need to be coded with a scan tool...BALDERDASH! It's a car battery for an 18yr old car (2004 Mini Cooper S JCW). The battery has been changed before (6yrs ago)...remove neg then pos, connect pos then neg...easy. Then another employess states it's a 'Courtesy' we offer. Evidently NOT, if you won't do it for a US Navy Disabled Combat Veteran. What if I was a woman would they been able to install it as a 'Courtesy? Abner then plops a bags of tools on the counter as says you can use these (so, it wasn't lack of tools, even though it was missing 10mm and a normal phillips screwdriver). With what I was given I was able to do it with a channel lock wrench ( I worked with aircraft while in the Navy so not difficult). The lack of professionalism and the incredible lack of customer care/relations will most likely prevent me from going to this particular store in the future. read more

Not sure why so many people gave this place bad reviews and calling the workers lazy. Luis helped me find the right bulbs for my car and I asked him if he could help me replace them (since I never learned these kinds of things growing up). He looked at the line and, like a good employee, said he'd help one more customer and then come help me. As promised, he came out to my car and helped put the bulb in and even explained how to do it so I know for the future. A+ for customer service! Thank you Luis! read more

I purchased spark plugs and the computer gave the wrong item. Upon returning the longer spark plugs, Abner assured me that they were the same, the system just had a new number for them and the length difference was due to manufacturing. Knowing better, I asked if he had the "old ones" with the correct number and he assured me that it was just a labeling difference. I measured the depth at home and the extra length would have hit my piston on compression. Moral of the story being, go in knowing what you need. If you are surprised by information from Abner, probably best to ignore it and go elsewhere. However my return was easy and flawless thanks to the other associates. read more

This place sucks! Save time and drive to Oxnard Orileys or go to AutoZone. They will not look up your purchase history, they don't honor their lifetime warranty's and they refused to price match Napa and autozone prices for me. The staff here is rude. They said I could return the "cataclean" when I bought it if it didn't clean the catalytic converter. It didn't clean it so I tried to return it. The Manager told me that I had to get a hold of the manufacturer. I got ahold of the manufacturer, and they said that I had to return it back to the store. I went in one more time, and they said that I couldn't return it. And that they don't take it back if it's empty. So here I am lol. Not buying here again if they can't back their products. read more

Went here for brake pads, gave them year make and model and they listed two options for my front brake pads. Couldn't tell me which one was which so I bought both with the intention of returning the wrong one. Turns out both of them were wrong and not even close to what I needed. These people are just flat out lazy. When I was walking in, there was a trash can full and had spilled out ALL OVER the grass and sidewalk, tons of it, disgusting.. but I would've looked past it if the customer service wasn't bad....BUT IT WAS...They offer free engine light checks...I had gone in to get some towls to check oil level to see if that was the issue...it was not. Went back in to ask if he could read the code and told me ""I'm the only one here I can't till 10:30AM and that he couldn't"" (an hour from when I was there) AND I had heard people talking in the back / there was a girl working at the counter literally 2 minutes ago. Complete waste of time and went to the one on E main where they did their jobs. read more

Today was the worst experience ever! There is big sign in the window advertising they can check your battery. We came upon the store manager Cecilia Perez who was to busy to answer a quick question. We asked if she had personal to help check a battery! She basically said I'm too busy get in line turned her back on us and walked away! Out of no where this guy screams get in line! One of her co-workers was too upset at the fact that they were too busy and decided to scream to get in line! we have gone in there several times and I guess the just don't have employees to help the customer.
