Without exception, every time I've been here, Nestor has been a shining example of excellent customer service! Today, I went there with a dead lamp in one of my headlights. Having stood only a few seconds in line, Nestor called me over and I explained the problem. He called out for someone to replace him at the desk and he went outside to have a closer look at the situation, bringing his coworker one with him. They quickly ascertained that I only needed to replace one single lamp and proceeded to select the item and were happy to install it. This all happened very quickly and--for someone like me who is not being dialed into car stuff - I was incredibly pleased with the results of their work! I bought a newbattery for my car online and needed to get rid of the old one. O' Reilly's took it and gave me a $15 store credit. I took that credit and ordered new wiper blades which I then left in my garage for a few months. Finally, when I was bored I decided to swap them in, but alas, they were the right size but the wrong mount. The receipt was long gone but I figured it was worth a try and brought them back. The tech at O'Reilly's was incredibly helpful. He located the transaction, refunded the purchase price, located the correct blades and even installed them in the parking lot to make sure they fit. Fernando the manager is completely rude. Called in for a price match. Their policy clearly states "we price match any local competitor." Presented the price of the same part at the Home Depot website. Fernando was coming up with every excuse to not price match. Same part number and everything the same. Usually auto parts stores are jumping all over you trying to help. But not this place. Bought the most expensive headlights, and they made no offer to help me install them. Every other time at every other place they did. Went back in to wash my hands after installing them myself, in the dark. They have no public bathroom. So just a 5 star shout out to Mason for best outstanding service. I need some brake pads for my Avalon a couple of days ago. He up sold me into some better brake pads that i had purchased before. speaking of what i had purchased before, I did buy the organic pads, had no receipt and I actually inquired on my purchase, )here is where it gets even better, He took the time to find and locate the original purchase, because I gotten into better brake pads he advise what i need to do to get credit for the original purchase. These guys are really good and Daniel most especially, he went the extra mile with great service on my behalf. I needed a small adapter and little bit of a tubing. He looked at it, saw later that I'd run into a glitch trying to get the right fit. He came back with a few adjustments of parts to my purchase and off I went to pass a re-test at the smog place. If I'd been at the Lexus Dealership for that same one minute fix, it would've been easily 6 or 7 times my cost. That's what makes for grateful and loyal customers. Thank you once again. read more

David, or Daniel, excuse me, was great. lol the main guy of the team that worked the nightshift on August 3rd. Why he isn't a mechanic with all the knowledge he knows? I dunno, but he saved me upwards to $500 no exaggeration whatsoever. leaving a good review about him going out of his way to breakdown what could be wrong with my car, instead of lying for a better sales commission is the best I can do because apparently they can't receive tips. My Mazda CX7 needed a new headlight and knowing that they are a pain in the neck to replace, I called over to O'reilly, spoke with Tyler who assured me that he not only had what I needed in stock but that he would try to put them in for me. He helped me pick out a better quality set of lights and almost was able to install them too! Sadly, the mechanism that holds the lights in place gave him (a few other mechanics I then went to) some trouble. My point here is that he went above and beyond to try to solve this issue for me and was informative, polite and professional. I would recommend O'reilly for all of your car part needs. I needed a new battery for my truck and initially spoke with Fernando on the phone. He was really helpful in answering my questions and getting me a list of options based on price, length of warranty, CCA, etc. I came in on a Sunday and was assisted by Tyler who went out to my truck and tested the old battery (installed in 2012) and also checked the alternator. O'Reilly Auto Parts in Petaluma was just wonderful. They were kind and helpful, particularly Emmanuelle - who is the assistant manager. 'Manny' was so thoughtful, he helped me on the phone first and then when I arrived at the actual shop, he guided me to purchase what I needed to fix a small hole in my windshield, which a rock had just hit and punctured a hole in. Manny was so lovely he helped me fix the window with the kit I bought and did a much better job than I would have done. Manny cared about my safety and the job being done well and I am so grateful for his generosity and concern.
