I bought my Snugtop campershell from campway in Santa Rosa last year for my Tacoma. Ive had to take it in around 7 times to have them fix a leak which still hasn't been fixed. They sent it back to the manufacturer and im coming up on 4 months sense theve had it. At this point i just want my money back but was told thats not an option. Just some food for thought. Disorganized and Disrespectful of My Time I reached out to Campaway to install trailer wiring on my new Subaru. I already had the hitch, and I specifically asked if they could install both a flat connector and a 7-pin for towing. I was assured they had all the parts and scheduled the install. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was informed they didn't actually have the correct part, and I'd need to come back another day. I was told "sorry" several times, but with no real sense of urgency or concern for the inconvenience. A week went by with no update, so I called to follow up--only to be told the parts were now in. When I asked why no one had contacted me, I got another round of "I'm sorry." By then, the apologies felt like a script--repeated over and over, but with no real accountability behind them. I happened to see Casey, the owner, at a local restaurant and took a moment to explain what had happened. He didn't seem particularly interested and just offered another empty "I'm sorry." When I finally rescheduled, I suggested they consider doing something to make up for the lost time and extra trip. They declined, made no effort to retain my business, and honestly seemed indifferent. I decided it would be best to cancel everything and request a refund for the incomplete work. To top it off, the manager told me I was rude for speaking with Casey while he was getting dinner--completely ignoring the fact that I was the one repeatedly inconvenienced. Absolutely amazing! I called them after struggling with Truck Tops, and not being able to get a straight answer about our parts we needed and told to wait... it's been about a month and a half! Moving on!! I called CampWays - the gentleman that answered the phone was respectful, kind and wanting to help anyway he can. Poor quality installation, Poor quality accessory window and Poor quality Snugtop camper shell. Purchased in 2019. After receiving the truck I can see wires dangling below the truck frame. Easy fix for me to do, not a big deal. After a short time the drivers side window gasket was oozing out and leaked. Returned it three times to have it redone. The fourth time I fixed it myself. Four years later, no problem. Today the back window strut bracket broke out of the fiberglass. It will cost me $220 and 6 months to have it sent to Mexico to maybe get it fixed under warranty. Compared to B and BX series, they had really better value, quality and more accessories. My brother has a BX Kubota but mine costed $4000 less. I've been loving my find. Terrible service, I try and help a local shop before going with retailers like Amazon. That said, I ordered a bedrug for my truck from here with a $350 deposit. Received an email a few days later that the delivery will be 12 weeks or so out. When I ordered it I was told 2-3 weeks. The cancellation process was not easy, I had to go in person to cancel the order and they won't provide a cancellation receipt or any paperwork. Refused to provide contact information for the "office" it's a miracle these guys are still in business. read more

Best customer service ever! I went to this store because one of my automatic running boards wasn't deploying . Placed that installed them went out of business. I basically thought I was going to have to eat $2000. Cass was wonderful with providing me options and kept me from freaking out and thinking I was going to have to replace with new runners. The remote lock actuator on my Snugtop cap stopped worked the other day. I stopped in to Campways to see if they could help me figure out if the actuator had gone bad or if something else was wrong. Not only did they figure out that the actuator was not the problem, they determined what the problem was (faulty inline fuse) AND fixed it! This was all on a late Friday afternoon when they were trying to close up for the day. Can't say thank you enough to Campway. Tremendous customer service. Campways is awesome. This is the second truck they have worked on for me. The standard stuff...roof rack, ladder, hitch, trailer brake controller. The second truck a ram 3500 dually. I got a snugtop shell and square tube lumber rack+spray in bedliner. They did a great job. Working with vince is super easy and he is very helpful and knowledgeable. He also helped me order a super heavy duty 20k rated mount and ball for my truck. The thing that really got me stoked was I ordered the shell,rack, and a spray in bedliner. Very expensive. It took about 4-5 weeks to come in. Once everything was in, I was going to have to wait another few weeks to have it all installed. At this point work was slowing down for me because it was raining so much and I had no dry place to store and move my tools around. So I was having to say no to jobs. As a courtesy Vince offered to install the lumber rack and shell that week, and then later in the month remove it, spray the bed, and reinstall it-so I would have a shelter for my tools and a way to carry lumber in the meantime. I brought a brand new Toyota Tundra with 60 miles on it to these guys to get an extremely over-priced camper shell installed on my truck. This truck is my baby and it has been in my garage for the last several weeks as it is not my daily driver. A couple weeks ago I noticed that the panel next to the drivers door was coming loose and upon furthur review, I found that the clip for the panel was broken off. Moreover the wires we shoddily taped together and bundled in a way that did not make me happy. Additionally, a wire had come loose on the back window on the very first day of use. Again, not a great experience. Today I brought this to their attention and was not expecting what happened next. My rep Cass said that "because its been 2 months since the install, we can't help you and will not take responsibility" I went on to explain to Cass that no-one had been near that panel but his crew, ever. The truck still only has 300 miles on it. After i explain this a couple of times, he states, "it could have come from the factory like this"... I was in awe. I can't believe a so called family owned business would provide such terrible customer service to a paying customer who spent a couple of thousand dollars with them. Just downright unbelievable. I do not do business with companies who do not stand behind their work. Major fail. UPDATE 04/04/2016 - just took the cap off and found scratches to the bare metal on the back corners. And my mind was blown with the exceptional customers service! Vince was excellent, very patient and took his time with me to find the right for for my Tacoma. He helped me decide to go with Nerf Bars. And recommend a rock shield to hopefully help prevent chips or dings in the windshield. Vince was able to find an appointment to get me in right away and didn't have to wait very long to get an install date. My appt was at 9:30am on a Saturday. They were on time and IMMEDIATELY took my truck in despite the fact that Campways can be "grand central station" at times. They do get busy! But always made the time to help me and deliver my vehicle in a timely manner as promised. They did a fantastic job and my 2016 Tacoma looks BOSS!!!!! As with most things, we began our search for a cargo pod on amazon. We needed it quickly for last minute travel, but also had questions and needed assistance with installation, so we found ourselves at Campway's instead. So happy we did! I assumed I would have to purchase the pod at a chain and hopefully have them help install, but I met with Cass on a Tuesday and he gave me a great price and perfect service and we had our pod purchased and installed by Thursday night! This is my first cargo pod and everyone there was extremely helpful. They even found a replacement part for a piece of my pre-existing hardware I didn't realize was missing and made sure I had the appropriate locking mechanisms for security. I bought a new Nissan van for our painting company and needed some fancy accessories to make it user friendly (the Nissan dealership had zero information on after-market accessories--puzzling, I know, since you think they'd want to sell, install and keep the money for themselves). My brother sent me to Campway's. There I found Cass, who helped me figure out exactly what I needed for my van. In fact, he was sweeter than sugar!!! I made three trips to the store--one to pick out accessories, one to drop off the van for installation and one to pick up "Margarita" when she was finished. It's a manly kind place! Never saw another woman on the property, yet I felt comfortable and well taken care of.
