I have a new Camper Van and was experiencing problems with my electrical system while in Flagstaff AZ. I spent two months in Flagstaff working with highly recommended RV service providers trying to get the electrical system fixed. No one could figure out what was wrong. I have a Victron system and Relion batteries. One of the RV service employees suggested I try a Relion dealer. I called Continental and connected with Gunner. He told me to come right over and within ten minutes had the very simple problem diagnosed. It took him five more minutes to fix my electrical system. It has been a week and the system is working perfectly. I suggest if anyone is experiencing electrical problems and has lithium ion batteries it would be a good idea to contact Continental Battery Systems. Most recently, I ordered two OEM liftgate supports for my vehicle, and they arrived very quickly. When I went to pick them up, I asked the associate, Daniel G., how to install them. He explained that it was very simple and only required a flathead screwdriver to remove the old ones and snap the new ones into place. He even offered to install them for me, and it literally took about five minutes. My auto repair shop had told me it would take 30 minutes and cost $45, so I was really grateful for the help. Another time I came in with what I thought was an alternator or starter issue after receiving incorrect information from an auto repair shop nearby. Daniel let me know they had an OBD2 scanner available and helped check the codes on my car. The scan showed a battery code and not a starter code/ issue, which helped point me in the right direction. He also recommended that I purchase a good OBD2 scanner for future diagnostics and even told me where I could find one, even though they didn't have one available for sale. My battery tested at 11.3V still working but below recommended levels and was causing sluggish cranking and flickering lights inside my vehicle. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly associate. Even though it was about 30 minutes before closing, he was gracious, patient, and more than willing to help install the battery. I get there the next day and say they "might not be able to take it because of the lead". He goes back and talks to the owner who says he will give me $.05 a pound. Man- I've tried so hard to make this my auto parts store but they make it very difficult to do…read morethat. It was under a different manager and was worse. The new manager is great. Very helpful, but most of the staff are not helping the store. Especially the pm/weekend staff. And the worse is the older gentleman. He only knows the word NO. He only wants to look up parts and ring them up- don't expect him to openly and freely go to help you away from the register. They really DGAF as far as I can tell. Sometimes there are three or four staff up front and other times, like today, there is no one on the floor anywhere to help me. C'mon guys-really want to make you my go to store....
