Man- I've tried so hard to make this my auto parts store but they make it very difficult to do that. It was under a different manager and was worse. The new manager is great. Very helpful, but most of the staff are not helping the store. Especially the pm/weekend staff. And the worse is the older gentleman. He only knows the word NO. He only wants to look up parts and ring them up- don't expect him to openly and freely go to help you away from the register. They really DGAF as far as I can tell. Sometimes there are three or four staff up front and other times, like today, there is no one on the floor anywhere to help me. C'mon guys-really want to make you my go to store.... read more

Had to borrow a family member's car for the day,and as the sun was setting I realized that the front headlight bulb had burned out. Pulled into this O'Reillys because I had come here often for various parts on my own car. Was helped by a gentleman who told me which bulb would work. He suggested that I swap the bulbs immediately, if not for safety's sake then to make sure the bulb was fully correct for the car. I heeded his warning, and by god... I just couldn't get the stupid bulb out. I never owned a car newer than a 2002 model, and with this fancy borrowed car I was faced with all sorts of superfluous clips and crap that I simply could not make out in the now night time low light situation. So out comes a younger employee named Jesus who helps me with it, since he had far more experience with modern cars than I have. Jesus was a good guy to have on staff and I am thankful for his help in that (rather embarrassing) situation. I have fixed up junker cars before and had an ego and pride about my car savviness, but having Jesus help kept me road safe that night. Thanks, bud! I will keep coming back as a customer. read more

The battery was located in a tricky position but Alfredo, who is super friendly and professional, helped me out and changed my battery with ease! I am super grateful and loved my experience! When you (Or I should say I) think of an auto parts store you know what you get, air fresheners, air filters, parts for the weekend project or the do it your self oil changer. I was looking for car covers, so I walked into this store expected to have that telltale smell of oil, coolant, and sweat. Well never assume this store was shiny, waxed floors, plus smelled fresh and clean, it was like the wholefoods of auto parts. I was greeted by Rhaenna who was very helpful of all things car covers. She spent about 15 minutes with me online and provided me some excellent options. Now mind you I just watched her deal with a couple on an alternator and pulley her knowledge was excellent. The store Manager I believe Alfredo was equally attentive in helping a customer located an in-car cabin filter. It is apparent that customer service is preached from top to bottom. It certainly makes me rethink the car parts store. I highly recommend this store. read more

I hate writing bad reviews. I usually chalk it up to I just did not luck out. Except for this one! I went in to this store, since it is close to my favorite bagel spot. First I noticed MANY notices of Do Not Shoplift. Thought nothing of it as we shopped around. When we finally gather all of our needed things, we noticed NO ONE had greeted us. NO ONE was at the register. We could hear people talking in the back. No one wanted to work the registers. We left. We also left all our findings on the counter. We laughed as we walked out that we finally know why the shoplifting signs are so prominent in this particular store. We are honest and left the merchandise. We were just hoping we could stop in and grab what we needed without going to the store on Chandler. Lesson learned. read more

Just wanted to start off by saying Thalia is amazing. I had just driven back from sedona on the edge of my seat because any time I idled my car would reset and I knew as soon as I turned my engine off it would not be going back on. Made it to oreilly and found out I had a very corroded battery that was impossible to test. Thalia was able to go above and beyond to help me fix the corroded wire and replace the battery. She was very patient and knowledgeable. We really appreciated her help!! read more

This was a Checker and now is Checker-O'Reilly Auto Parts. My battery died like most in the Phoenix heat...husband was at work.....so my neighbor helped out with a jump start, and I drove up with receipt in hand the battery was two years old and was on warranty and was a whopping $1.29 to replace. The gentleman installed it for me in the 103 temperature and never complained. I do know how to replace a battery....... but it was nice to have them install it for me. Every time I go into this store they can't pull up the parts I need for my 2001 Chevy Silverado. I would understand them not being able to locate the parts for a rare custom build, but a Chevy Silverado??? Please update your computer system. read more

After having our car repaired, the auto dealer told us a few secondary brake lights were out and they could replace them but it would be cheaper if we were to do it ourselves. We stopped at O'Reilly's to pick up the lights. Deshawn helped us out and he was great! We weren't sure which lights we would need and so he came out to check with us and explained how to access the old light bulbs to replace them. The store wasn't very busy, so after getting the right bulbs, Deshaun offered to help us replace them right there. In all, he replaced two brake lights and two license plate lights. We really appreciated his help going above and beyond to help us out. Wish more employees were like him! Thank you for your assistance Deshaun! read more

The customer service in this store is terrible. A Manager by the name if Justin was rude and sarcastic and needs a belt to hold his pants up. If Oreily thinks guys like Justin are good managers than corporate has a poor judge of character and customer service. read more

Literally every time I go here the guys are quick to find what I need and then they do the hands on work of fixing/replacing. They've done my wiper blades, brake lights, etc. They even point you in the direction of different brands that might be on sale. I am grateful to them for their assistance and for their manual labor even in the 110 degree heat. read more

If you're looking for floor jacks, don't waste your time here. The AC Delco 2T jacks are very poor quality and workmanship and the 2T jack I purchased was damaged. Got my money back OK, but that's it. Customer loyalty/care was very lacking. Recently went in for a headlight bulb. Was given the wrong part, but the worst part of my visit was the way an employee, Henry (Hope he was NOT the manager!) spoke to me. I may be a female but I'm not a moron. This employee didn't say, "we can't put it in for you" or "it's against company policy".....no he came back with "WE WON'T PUT IT IN FOR YOU". Really? I never even asked him too. When I asked if it was hard to replace (they have done it for me in the past) he got pissy. I purchased the part and a young guy named William walked me out showed me where to remove the old part and was very helpful. Unfortunately, the other guy kept coming out the door and looking at us. WHAT??? I went home tried to put the part in and it was definitely not the right part, took it back and the first guy never even offered to help! He was the one that looked it up and pulled it from the shelf. No apology, no assistance just that pissy look. Thank goodness William was still there and another sweet girl who did the exchange, found the correct part and both helped with the replacement. These two are the only reason I didn't demand a refund and storm out. I will definitely look in the store first before I walk in. If Henry is there, I'm going somewhere else, end of story. read more

I wanted to get my alternator checked so the clerk came out to my car to do a diagnostic. Alternator fail was the reading and my car wouldn't start. I told the clerk I'd buy an alternator and asked if I could get a jump start afterwards. Apparently I was parked too far away to receive a jump start according to her. I asked her if I pushed the car closer if I could get a jump start and she said possibly? WTH? Isn't the jump start kit you use for customers about the same size as the diagnostic tool she just used on my engine? I wouldn't be too upset but my friend just got a jump from the same store a couple weeks ago and he was parked in almost the same spot. He had a nicer car than me so maybe I looked too broke to be worth the time? I'm far from broke. I own 3 vehicles and this one is my junker. I even would have considered purchasing a portable jump start tool as well as an alternator but not after the lame customer service. Auto Zone got my business 30 minutes later and were glad to jump start my ride after purchasing my alternator. At O'Reilly's I had to get a jump start from a member of the gym next door. I'm not quite a senior citizen yet but I do have a fake hip so pushing my car closer isn't an option. So frustrating. Car problems are difficult enough without having to deal with O'Reilly's apathetic employees. I was just across the parking lot. What if the parking spots were all taken and across the lot was the closest spot I could find? Regardless, I could probably throw a rock and hit the front door. I probably should have. read more

risky buying auto parts at these places. waxes, cleaners,etc okay. clutch master cylinder for jeep cost me three hours of my time, tow charge to repair shop to complete, then the shop finding out the part had an internal leak probably from "made in china". cost me 5 times my do it yourself cost to get it fixed by a shop. read more
