I have come to this O'Reillys 3 different times. Every single time I have come, i tell them the issue, show pictures of the issue, and also tell them the make model of my car, so you would think they couldn't get the parts wrong, right? Wrong. First it was a lug nut for my car, wrong size. Then it was a bulb in my headlight and that was wrong as well. Every person that has helped me, with exception to one employee, have been very rude and quick to dismiss. I've had to have a refund issued with just about every purchase I've made at this store. Hope something changes and employees could be more attentive. read more

Had a great experience here in a near emergency situation. My battery died while out- luckily a friend was able to give me a jump. I wanted a new battery installed ASAP as I didn't want to get stranded anywhere. After calling around several auto part stores in the Georgetown and Round Rock area to inquire if they A. had the battery my car needed and B. if they could install it for me, I finally found Ernesto at O'Reilly who had the battery and said it would be no problem to install it. The other places were not forthcoming on if they had the right battery and they would not install it. So Ernesto was a real life saver for me. The employees at the store were very friendly and helpful. The process of buying the battery and having it installed took probably all of 10 minutes! Ernesto was competent, polite and personable. I was backing my car and brushed the front right side to garage wall causing paint damage. I visited acura dealer for paint work suggestion and they told me to visit O'Reilly Auto parts at Round Rock as they will mix the paint with the right color code that I can apply. To my surprise James Padilla from O'Reilly Round Rock checked the damage and fixed it for free. Everyone at the store are so polite. I have yet to buy my auto supplies from this store because they are not on my way anywhere, literally anywhere. HOWEVER, from now on, they are my go-to based on their friendliness and commendable sense of community. They allowed us, my family of 5 with 2 slightly-mobility-impaired seniors to park in their lot during the July 4th parade for free. What a wonderful choice their manager made that day: leave a few spots open near the front door for actual customers and let everyone else use their lot to park closer to the parade route. Been going to O'Reilly since before they were called Hi-Lo. I avoid this location specifically because of the lackluster staff. Last time I was in this store, I walk in to see the guy behind the counter with his pants down and adjusting what I'd hope is his shirt. Out in the open. No shame. No class. Not sure if he had a screw loose or not, but I get the luck of being waited on by this person. Who then drops my parts on the floor and won't pick them up. I asked the manager "is this guy serious?" He takes over when he sees I'm not in the mood to play with this idiot. They have the least helpful counter employees of any O'Reilly I've ever had the pleasure of patronizing. Most of the time you can see a group of them in the back bs'n while one person works with a line 4-6 deep. Keep aiming high with your new hires! I'll keep going elsewhere. read more

Was told these guys would change out headlights with a purchase of said headlight. Had a guy come out to look at it. He played with it for less than 10 seconds, brought me back in the store, sold me the light and then told me he couldn't do it. When I asked if anyone else in there was qualified, he told me no, without even pretending to ask anyone else. Sounded like he chuckled at me and said, "be careful," when I walked out. Ernesto was very knowledgeable about the batteries and the warranties for each of them. He checked to see if I needed to replace the battery or just charge it. He ended up helping me replace everything in the rain and in about 15 minutes I was on the road! Definitely will come back for his services. read more

The employees are so kind and helpful! I stopped by the other day when my headlight went out. They were going to help me change it and everything. I was about to pay for the new headlight when the technician said, looking at the old light bulb, "This looks fine. Maybe you don't need a new one." After re-connecting the old light bulb and tightening the wires, the light worked fine! They never charged me for a new light bulb, or even for the labor of fixing it for me. They were so helpful and kind! Great store! read more

Drove from Cedar Park to this store because the website showed it had a product I was looking for in the store. (Evercoat Polyester Finishing Putty) It showed it was in the Round Rock store on South Mays and the Lamar store. Should have gone to the Lamar store I guess. I couldn't find what I was looking for and as I was browsing I heard what I would assume is the store manager berating some poor girl about her job. Basically talking down to her and being very negative to the point that I felt very badly for her and was glad I didn't work there. Unfortunately I got the same guy when I went to the counter to ask about the glaze. I asked him about it and he just walks away. Another employee asked if I needed any help and I said, "Well I think that guy was helping me but he just walked away." "OH yeah that's just the way he is." SO he comes back (and I wish I got this guy's name but I didn't) and he has a can of glaze that's not what I was looking for. So I look up the part on my phone in the store because either they don't have access to the internet or he just couldn't be bothered. As I was trying to explain to him that the site showed two locations having the glaze he typed up some number in his computer and said," We don't have it. No store carries this." I was again trying to explain that I knew Lamar had it but he just kept interrupting me "We don't have it. What do you want me to take you in the back so you can look?" Maybe he's used to be condescending to what I assume are his employees but he sure as hell isn't going to talk to me that way. So I said, "Forget it," and was leaving for the Lamar store when he very pointedly said... "Have a nice day!" So not only was he unhelpful, condescending, rude to myself and his employee, he felt it necessary to cap that off with an obnoxious farewell that was anything but sincere. So I turned around and gave him some choice words and left. I went to the Lamar store and despite the "expert" knowledge of the guy in Round Rock magically they had the putty! Shocking! I don't live in Round Rock, but I would be damned if I would ever buy a single part or product from this store. If this WAS the store manager, he should be fired. If it wasn't... he should be fired. If I were the owner of this store he would be fired and I would let every franchisee know exactly what kind of employee this person is, and exactly how poorly he not only treats his customers, but his fellow employees. read more

This business has the nicest kindest staff. They even offered my dog a drink of water. I wanted to buy auto seat covers for my front seats. I paid and the employee came to the car with me to put them on. When they did not fit perfectly, my money was refunded and I was given suggestion of another business that might be able to help me. WOW ! The concern for my complete satisfaction even if they didn't make a sale proved to me that they care about the customer. Thanks so much, O'Reilly people. (I had been in another auto store nearby where the employee was barely even civil to me, so this was an amazingly wonderful experience.) read more

Not the friendliest customer service. Ask for assistance and you may not even get a response. I went in for a simple check engine light diagnostic. The young woman that was going to assist me didn't even acknowledge me until she was at the door when she turns and simply says, "ready". Not wanting to bother her, because she was making me feel like I was, I asked for someone else to assist. A man came out with the testing equipment and asked me what was wrong. I explained to him the treatment I had just received and I stated "I usually go to Auto Zone" but was told to try here. He then yanks the tester out of my car and says, "you should go there then." So I did. I will say that upon talking to someone at corporate level I did receive an apology. read more

Buyer beware...the store employees were really nice about testing my battery, alternator, and starter for me. When the starter didn't pass the test, I had them order one for me. I installed it the next day and my car still didn't start. The reason it didn't work was...the clutch safety switch had failed (a $3.50 part). When I returned the starter, the Store Manager Ronnie said "you should've known that before you bought it." He was condescending and insulting, then he offered me $20 for the part, I paid $205.66 for it. I'd understand if they wanted a re-stocking fee, but not $180. read more

Don't trust what they tell you. I bought an $80 part that they told me could be returned if it didn't work. Bottom line is that it didn't work nor was it the part I ended up needing and they wouldn't replace it. I had to argue with the Manager and eventually get the Regional's # and when I spoke with him he understood my side and felt that I was mislead which is why he let me return the part. read more

This is a great parts shop. PERIOD! The staff is always friendly, ready to help, let you browse, find a part, whatever you need. Whether you're doing a complete overhaul, changing your oil, or just need to get car wash supplies, make this your first stop. Only downfall, they're not in a real convenient location. Went here tonight to get my roommate's battery checked, because she's been having some trouble starting it in the cold weather. I walked in and the man at the counter greeted me and asked what he could help me find. I asked him if he could check my friend's battery, and he was more than willing to help. The battery ended up being bad... He helped us find the right battery (my roommate had some trouble answering his questions about the car, but he never got impatient), then he installed it for us (fo' free), even though it was close to freezing outside. He was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going to this place for all my car needs from now on! read more

In need of a headlight bulb, I asked for help looking it up. Lou was working at the counter, looked it up for me and even came out to change it out for me. Unfortunately, a bolt was out of reach and she was unable to change it, but she gave it a valiant effort. I'll be having my family mechanic taking a look at it. Last weekend I went to O'Reilly's because I needed to have a diagnostic test done because my check engine light came on and i knew it had something to do with the fuel. The guy came out tested it. the he said what the code was and said I do not know what that means you look it up. The he walked to the back. I was surprised by what he did. I went back up to the front and Manuel was standing there I told him what happened. I gave him the code and we found the part. He said it will be about $41.00. He advised me to take it somewhere else to have a better diagnostic testing to call him back and he will order the part since it was not in the store. I did that and I called back on Monday and asked for Manuel and was told he was not there. I went through the whole situation with the guy on the phone, gave him the price - he tells me $79. I said sir that was not I was told, he said for your car $79. I said no I know what I was told - he said let me get my Manager Chris. Chris said the same thing until I told him what Manuel said. Then Chris said well there are three different ones, there is one for $41 but it has to be ordered. I told him I know that and that is why I called up there. The next day I called back to see if the part was in. Ronnie who said he was the store manager looked it up to see if it was there. I told him the customer service I had received so far and the only one who was helpful was Manuel. H e then told me the employees acted that way because I frustrated them. I said no sir I did not. He said Oh - well I will talk to them.. I am not going to go pick up the part. Why deal with people whose job is to help you get the correct part and great customer service. i have told everyone i know not to go here. The customer service is really bad. the Manager Ronnie should be ashamed of himself for blaming me for something I did not cause.Stay away from this store. I ordered the part online from Rock Auto. The price was $12 cheaper including the shipping and handling. I hope that Manuel's customer service will rub off on the others. Oh and Chris lied about being a manager. read more
