After all they stamp their name in big bold letters on everything they make, so why would they make junk with their name on it? Turns out it's cheap Chinese junk and won't hold a charge after 3 months of use. Called the store back and I was told they quit carrying the enterprise jumper packs and had switched to a different brand called NOGO because theirs aren't as good. I talked to the person for another 20 min and he said they can return it for a store credit towards another one. Ok I'm down for that I said and they ordered another one. I told them I would cover the difference if they would order the bigger heavier duty one since this one crapped out so easily. 2 days later called back and of course the story changed. Now the guy said the store manager wouldn't let him return it without the original receipt. The receipt printed on thermal paper that was no longer legible since it was left in the car. I asked why because they were able to easily look up and see the sale recorded in the computer. He said it's because his manager said no and that was the last word. Well manager let me tell you that when you put your own company name on a product that does a few months later and don't stand behind it the last word gets stamped on the internet. Along with your poor customer service.

So I would not be able to buy backup batteries from Dell. But what might work was an external battery/power source. This is precisely what The Battery Geeks specialize in. Since this computer was so new on Dell, even Dell was not prepared to answer questions as to Voltage, Amps, plug inner and outer diameters. So I was lucky that Steve had the patience and interest to sleuth this out with me. In the end, we were able to determine that Dell had designed an beautiful computer (the XPS 15 Touch - 9350) that was a serious power suck. He had a $300 external battery but it would be sucked of power within an hour ... and I would need 6 of them to cover the 6 hours of extra battery time I needed. Normally, a high capacity computer battery will cover you for 3 hours and cost you ~$150-$175 each. Sadly, the only solution was to return the computer to Dell. But Steve spent an hour being very helpful and informative. He knew I was looking for a reasonable solution so I could keep this computer. He wasn't able to sell me anything (not his fault) but, the almost-customer service was awesome! He knows his battery solutions!
