I was there last week 4/27/26 . Went in there for an oil change kit. This lady that works at Advance auto parts sold me the wrong oil filter then oil all over my garage floor. Went back to Advance let them know what happend they did refund me for the oil filter. My guess i was speaking to a manager . I had to ask well am I going to get another gallon of oil since you all gave me the wrong filter. Nope I had to say something to so called Manager. I've worked as a manager before never have I seen so low IQ in my life. Instead he said we'll i can knock off few dollars. Bs he didn't the gallon of oil is $27 bucks he said o can do $32 bucks. So people beware Advance auto parts. Is not the same like back in the early 2000s . We have people have no idea of customer service. Specially that guy with long hair. Don't buy a battery here because they won't honor the warranty unless they keep it for 24-36 hours on a charger! told me if had brought my truck it would have had to sit there until they were done testing the battery which will take 24-36 hours! This was genuinely such a frustrating experience. All day i've been struggling with my car battery, resulting in my car not starting. I just spent 143 for a new battery as a broke college student, so i wasnt trying to break my bank even more. I had then went to this location, to use the FREE LOAN TOOL BOX!!! (which i might add, they have displayed outstide...) I explained my problem to the front desk, not even looking for a pitty party, didn't even mention how this stupid car battery had already ruined my day. anyways... one of the guys, rolls his eyes at me and mumbles "i'll go look" I'm already feeling this negative atmosphere. He continues to take his time in the back, just to talk to his coworkers, who were not talking about the tool i need, but instead giggling like school girls in a corner. i'm frustrated He comes back to the counter after 10-15 mins, nothing in his hands and says "can't"...i rolled my eyes and mumbled "wtf was the point of that bro" At this point i'm livid. I go look for this stupid wrench i needed to put my car battery in. And as one does i'm looking around for any cheaper options. I'm walking around, as i'm walking around, they all start coming to the front counter, maybe to make sure i'm not stealing anything or intimidate me: but they all just stare over at me like i'm some random anyways. i put that shi back! and i left without saying a word. they didn't say a word either. i bit my tongue. what i had to say was already just piled up. I had a long day.... and even tho they didn't know that... at the end of the day, it's not hard to be a nice person, or just say "hey we can't do that unfortunately, i'm sorry". I understand that these type of stores aren't the place to go for good ambiance and a warm smile, however... it's not hard to be nice, especially at such a grown age. One of my front headlights went out and I stopped by after work. Jeremiah was so nice. He wanted to see the bulb to ensure he was getting me the right replacement. So we went to my car and he was able to pull the socket out. He found the right bulb and actually popped the bulb in the socket and offered to replace the other one since it was a 2-pack. So now both of my front daytime running lights are nice and bright. Jeremiah was so genuinely polite. I really appreciated him going above and beyond and being so positive. read more

My minivan went completely crazy on a cold and dark Tuesday night. The red battery light was glaring, dashboard indicators were blinking on and off like they were haunted, and my transmission seemingly forgot how to transmiss. I limped off of Mays, barely reaching a parking spot at Advance Autoparts just before closing. The guys instantly tested my battery (dead, despite being nearly new) and then tested my alternator. The alternator was kaput. This was not a good situation for a Tuesday night with my son practicing soccer across the street. They gave me advice and quickly swapped in a fully-charged loaner battery that would get us safely home and to a mechanic in the morning. The guys at this Advance Auto saved me from a difficult situation and helped my son and i get home. They went above and beyond with helpful and courteous service when we were in a bind. I stopped at this location after I had some issues with my car starting after leaving another store. I had already called my dealership set an appointment, but decided stop here first and at least get my battery tested. The young lady came outside with the necessary equipment but it seemed like she kept having an issue with putting the cables On the battery. She moved them around at least five times and then she told me that it would not print out the summary. She really did not seem confident in knowing what she was doing. she said that is showing that it is not the battery. She went on to tell me that most likely at the alternator or something.So I let her jump start my car and I left and proceeded to my dealership. When I got there it was a totally different story. When I tested the battery they show that there was a dead sale within the battery.It was the battery the whole time I got a new battery and I haven't had any problems since. Stopped at the convenience store across the street from this location, and when I got back in the car, it wouldn't start. So, I went over to Advance Auto Parts. Ramon S. went above and beyond to help me. He walked over to my car, tested the battery, confirmed it was dead, sold me a new, and installed it in less than 30 minutes. This was around 5pm, so it was pretty hot outside. He provided great service, and I'll shop there again as a result of this experience. read more

yesterday I was driving home and noticed my car steaming form under the hood. I stop at this store to check and saw that my radiator had failed and was leaking. I was in a rush and went inside and purchased a new radiator. I then limped the car home and started to work on the car. upon installing the new one I realized that the radiator was wrong so I called and talked to Brian. I had the correct part number but the incorrect radiator was in the box. Brian quickly tracked down the radiator I needed and sent a driver to pick it up. I had two batteries that went dead and still under warranty. After having been given the runaround by the I-35 store in Round Rock I called Corporate and they sent me there. Well...that was a fiasco. They did determine the batteries were bad and "Paul" said they would have two batteries delivered for pick up at 6 pm. I went and nothing. The evening guy knew nothing. I called the following morning and spoke to "Caesar" and he said they would be there at 9:30. I called back an hour later and he acted all stupid and the DM will have to look at it. I called Corporate again. They got me hooked up at yet another store. Caesar and Paul are both a couple of liars. It turns out their bonuses are affected by returns. I guess they don't realize no customers mean no bonuses. I would stay away from these two stores. Buyer beware. If you need a part that has a warranty like a battery...go elsewhere. Corporate ladies were great, but it should not have to come to that. Honor your warranties. read more

I feel somewhat bad giving 1 star to this store. Most of my problems are with the online service. They had a promotion earlier where if you spent a certain amount of money on their site they would give you a e-gift card for 25 dollars as long as you spend 50, by the 24th of the next month. Obviously not to be combined with oil change specials (even though that seems a bit chincy). Also, no oil, or transmission fluid or anything that happens to be on sale at all. The add was pretty misleading. The worst of it was when I was trying to get help from an online chat; a not so gentleman by the name of Dwayne was pretty rude! Just telling me if I had opened the tiny button on the see details, I would have seed all of this. He started spewing the no this with that and so on...Therefore over a couple of dumb rules they have lost a pretty loyal customer that has spend several thousands of dollars in the past!!! read more
