They are always well stocked and have about anything you need for your automobile, from actual parts to cleaning solutions. Their prices include installation of basic parts like windshield wipers and batteries. I am always greeted by the friendly staff when I arrive. Sometimes the checkout process is a little confusing. There is one main register that is rarely manned. Then there are a couple of computers down the counter where the employees look up available car parts. Customers can also pay for those parts there at those computers. If you only buy something from the salesfloor, and the 2 or 3 employees are helping customers needing parts, there is nowhere to pay. You don't know if you should go stand at the main register and wait or get behind one of the parts customers and wait. It doesn't happen often, but it does when they're really busy. The prices are in line with other parts houses, and they also collect used motor oil without charge. So if you, like I, change your own oil, you can take the used oil there for disposal.

We arrived to find a salesman of few words. Not rude, just not in the mood for conversation, I guess. We explained the situation, and he asked questions about the car, make, model, and year. Then he says, "The only one we have that fits that car is $290.00 plus a core charge of $29." I had already checked Walmart's prices, not realizing they had finally begun closing on Thanksgiving. The Walmart price for the same size, amp, volt, etc. battery was $179.95. So we paid the price of needing something in a holiday emergency. I expected parts houses to be more expensive than Walmart, but I didn't expect them to be nearly TWICE the price. Anyhow, we said, "Sure, we'll take it." So he rang us up, and we paid. He brought the battery from the stockroom and set it on the counter and mumbled "Thanks," and walked away. I said, "The sign says you install batteries free of charge, is that right?" He kind of grunts, "Yes." Then he went into the back again, and I wasn't sure if he was coming back or not. But after a couple of minutes, he comes back out with tools to change the battery. I am sure he was hoping we would just take the battery and leave. It took him a while to change the battery in dead silence. When he finished, he just turned around and went back into the store. I followed him, however, and when we got inside, I handed him the receipt back and said, "Now, you can refund the core charge." He took the receipt without saying a word, completed the $29.00 refund, and returned the refund and receipt without saying a word. By this time, a lady had come out of the back and was standing behind the counter also. I took the refund slip and looked at her and said "Happy Thanksgiving," to which she kind of smiled but didn't speak. After we got home, I looked at the receipt again and saw that WITHOUT ASKING -WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW IN TEXAS- an added a $4.00 "Extended warranty" to the bill! It was too much trouble to return for a refund. If it is customer service you wish, along with a battery that is priced almost double the one a mile down the street, and a hidden charge for a worthless warranty you didn't want, this is the place to go! If you're not in a jam on a holiday, then there are many other places to purchase overpriced batteries that offer a much more congenial service experience. The only really good part of this experience was that they were OPEN and we were able to get the replacement and be on our way. But I only live a few miles up the street from this store and I'll be sure to avoid it like the plague in the future.

I mentioned I had bought it roughly 2 years ago and the Auto Zone associate stated it should be under warranty but they didn't carry that brand and advised me to go to O'Reilly, hence, why I was here now. The O'Reilly associate reviewed the logs to see how long ago it was that I actually bought it and to ensure I could get it replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, they didn't carry this battery either but he double checked my car to make sure the previous employee was being truthful about the state of the battery. After inspecting it, he noted that it was an Advance Auto Parts brand and even called the store for me before he sent me on a fool's errand. Fortunately they were in stock and he informed them he was sending me over to get it replaced. I appreciated the extra mile he went even though I didn't purchase anything! Once I picked up the truck they said "you will have issues with the running boards, they were "hard" to install. You should've got a different brand" mind you these are top Of the line running boards.. they were mad because it took more work for them. Secondly, the headlights. Right when I drove it off their dirt road, the blinker wasn't working. I took it back for them to Fix it, no "sorry about that" just looked at me like it was my fault. So they rigged it for a couple of weeks and now it's out again. Taking it to another shop to correctly fix the wiring issues since they can only mount tires and complain about hard work. No attention to detail, no quality work. Horrible.

They're very friendly in person too and offer a very clean and comfortable waiting area with recliners, a giant tv (Ghostbusters was playing, which definitely beats the news!). There are interior restrooms and complimentary coffee and water. The air conditioning is going so if you're chilled easily bring a sweater. If you run hot you should be comfortable! I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for ​Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend this location. I brought my 2006 Hummer H2 in for A/C repairs and an oil change. During the visit, I was charged $210 for a basic engine air filter. I questioned the price because it seemed unusually high, but was simply told, "The price is what it is" by Johnathan. To verify the pricing, I had a male friend call the South Austin location with the exact same year, make, and model of my vehicle. They were quoted $139 for the same engine air filter. I also called other automotive shops, and their prices were significantly lower. I contacted the regional manager to ask why there was such a large pricing difference between locations. He reviewed everything and confirmed that I should have been charged $139, not $210. He agreed the Cedar Park location overcharged me and approved to refund the difference. When I mentioned what the regional manager had told me, the technician, Jason, decided to insert himself into the conversation between myself & Johnathan & argued with me in the reception area in front of 3 other male customers saying something about being cheap. while Jason was arguing with me about price I asked Johnathan did you not say the $210 was for a "basic engine air filter" which he would not answer. To make matters worse, after paying for the A/C repair, my vehicle still was not fixed. There is now a loud humming noise, there is little to no airflow on fan speeds 1 and 2, and only limited airflow on speed 3. I now have to take my vehicle back for additional repairs because the original repair was not completed correctly. Since I refuse to go back to this north location I will have to travel an hour away to get my AC fixed. To his credit, the manager who was in lunch while this was happening walked in at the end & we spoke outside. He handled the situation professionally. He refunded the air filter overcharge, reimbursed me for the window switch repair that I chose not to have completed, provided $30 additional compensation for my inconvenience to drive south & sincerely apologized. While I appreciate how the manager resolved the financial issues, the experience at the Cedar Park location was unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to or argued with in front of other customers, especially after a pricing issue that management later confirmed was valid. As someone who supported this business for years and referred many people here, I'm disappointed to say I will not return to the Cedar Park location while that technician Jason is employed there. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues so other customers do not have the same experience.
