I've spent thousands of dollars here and I'm a regular customer, if you go in and there's an older guy working at the counter I really do wish you luck. He has been extremely rude with me each time Ive come in. Just today I ran in for a quick last minute part and as I was grabbing the stuff off the shelf, he said that's real cute, but we're closed get out. There have been good employees here and bad employees here, and after many times of him being so short with me, I think it ruined it for me. If I see him in the store again, I'm just not gonna go in. Was greeted and asked If I needed help. I asked for filters for my year and model car. The clerk found the items on the computer quickly and confirmed they had them. He charged me for both items. He then asked me if i could find my items myself on the shelf with the numbers he scribbled down on a little piece of paper. I was surprised because it wasn't busy at the 6:00 hour and there was only one other customer in the store. I guess I was okay with getting my items off the shelf myself. I had never shopped there so I was not familiar with their inventory system. Found one, could not find the other. I asked another floor clerk there. He was helpful. He could not find the it either. He asked the fellow the took my money and he said something to the effect, "Oh yeah! They just came in today and they're in the back." I bought a starter from this store and it was broken and I spent 3 days trying to figure out what was wrong with it because I didn't think they would give me a dud especially after paying 170 so I could get the lifetime warranty with it. I wasted so much time already and lost a lot of money because I need my truck for work. I finally figured out it was the starter that they had given me 4 days prior so I had my girlfriend try to return it and she came back and said they denied her, and it was late so I didn't have time to go over there to talk to them myself so there went another day I've wasted. Then I go in the next day and politely ask for an exchange and me no teeth power tripping loser McGee decided that was the day he was going to stand up and say no because he must get paid in starters he doesn't f*cking exchange bc he said "nah you can argue with my boss about it when he gets in 4 more days from now." and was extremely rude and disrespectful as f*ck. So I told him I would never shop there ever again and he said "gooooood thanks bye" so I left and had to call corporate and they called the store and got me the part exchanged. Unreal brains this employee has at this location. My only bad review I've ever written and only bad encounter I've had with O'Reilly a but man he really teefed the cake on this one. read more

This is shout out to the manager Donald. I went in just to ask for some help in replacing a battery in my key fob. He took the time to pull out his screwdriver set and spent a good 10 minutes helping me to replace the battery even though he didn't have a sale involved. What a great guy and a great operation he is running there. I recommend them to everyone. Thank you again. read more

I Bought chains for the girlfriends car here. Once I got in my car to leave I double checked to make sure they were for the right tire size, which they weren't. No big deal, I go in and tell the kid at the counter that they are too large and won't work (they sold me truck chains for a small car). The kid at the counter shrugged and said "they're only like 5% bigger, you'll probably be fine". Now I don't mind an honest mistake, but selling something that can ruin the sidewall of my tires, give me a flat, wrap around an axle, or ruin the inner fender wells of my vehicle really doesn't sit well with me. (Do a quick google search of running chains that are too large). I got a refund and will not be coming back. You'd have a more intelligent conversation with a wooden post than these kids who need a computer to think for them. read more

I bought a top of the line battery from here 2 years ago and it was giving me issues starting my car on cold days. It was still under warranty so I took it back. Turns out the battery in my car wasn't the one on the receipt. I found out that the battery I was given was 2 years old when purchased and no longer under warranty now. The new manager Drew replaced the defective battery with the correct one and had one of the guys there change it out for me. I was worried they would hassle me about having the wrong battery. Didn't argue with me they just made things right. As far as getting the wrong battery and a 2 year old battery at that doesn't sit well with me. Mistakes happen. They corrected it. Came in for a simple part to change my oil. Didn't have the part I needed, made me wait in line three times, what should have taken 5 minutes took close to an hour. Really poor workflow management. This is closest to my house but it's worth driving somewhere else. read more

Very poor customer service. I call for price and availability, and they told me that they had in stock. I went in to pick it up, and the guy said that they did not have it in stock, and the price was entirely different than when I was told on the phone. I told him that I was headed One Direction so I could pick it up at another location north, but he insisted on sending me south and west where I needed to head north and east. He refused to listen to me. I picked up the part, and drove home. Home is 200 miles away. Got underneath the car to put it in, and this jerk sold me the wrong freaking part. So apparently I was right in the first place. Absolutely horrendous service at this location! This jerk has no business working there when he doesn't know what he's doing. Avoid this place like the plague. You've been warned. read more

This place is ridiculous. I haven't had this level of Bad customer service in years. My wife stopped in and spoke to a representative two days ago and asked if they replace headlights. They told her that they can just depending on how hard it is with the cars make and model. They came and looked at our car and said they totally could do it. My wife had to run to work so she'd come back Saturday to have them do the job. We came back this afternoon and the guy that helped us, who looked like he was in high school and was wearing a Bingham high school hoodie, basically told us that they cannot do it at all and that the store's policy is a no to it. He walked us over to where the headlights were at and then walked away. I said, " you know this is really bad customer service right? Another employee here told me the exact opposite of what you are saying right now." His response was, " I don't care." As I walked out I turned to him and another employee and said are you sure you want to do this? I'm going to leave a bad yelp review because of this." Their response was again - "I don't care." read more

They charged me $85 for a new gas cap and oil change. After I got my car back from the shop my engine light was still on and they said "Come back again if it still shows up, we will have to fix more." Not believing them I took it to a referred friends auto shop. Turns out that they didn't change the cap at all or the oil but charged me for both. It's a scam of an auto shop and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone. read more

My 16 year old son wanted to go skiing and asked me where to get chains. I told him to stop by O'Reilly's as this is where I have always shopped. The manager sold him a set of chains and when my son asked about how to put them on, the manager said he did not know anything about chains. My son bought the chains and had no idea how to put them on, but tried for a few minutes. He took them to a nearby Discount Tire where we also do business and asked if they could help. A Discount Tire employee came out to try and help, but quickly realized that it was missing the strap to hold it onto the tire. The Discount Tire employee also advised my son that the quality of the chains was poor and he should get a higher quality set. (Thanks Discount Tire for helping my son! You will be getting a great review!). My son returned to O'Reilly's to return the chains within 30 minutes of purchase. The employee told my son that chains cannot be returned and circled that statement on his receipt. That evening I returned to O'Reilly's with my son to return the chains assuming that he spoke to a misinformed employee. After all, I understand the policy of no returns on chains so that someone does not buy them to use for a day and then return them; however, if a person returns them within 30 minutes, then they are not trying to take advantage of the store. Three employees were standing behind the counter and when I tried to explain the situation, was rudely told that chains cannot be returned. I explained that they sold my son a product that does not work. They offered to sell me the additional part to make them work. After a few minutes of back and forth, I asked if they really wanted to lose me as a customer as well as a 16 year old. One employee shrugged his shoulders as the other said he did not care. We left the store and I called the national customer support number and explained the situation. The customer support person stated that the situation was not handled correctly by the store. He stated that a District Manager would be calling. That was a couple weeks ago. So I disputed the charge on my son's charge card and have been credited the amount. I am waiting for the District Manager to call to tell me how to get the chains back to them since I have now not paid for them and they lost the sale anyway. All I can say is over a $50 purchase, O'Reilly lost my business as well as my son's business forever and we will advise everybody to never go there as customer service is not only bad, but nonexistent! Corporate should figure out how much they are spending on advertising and realize that treating customers as bad as this is much more expensive than whatever they are spending. Take a look at the other Yelp reviews and you will see this is not an isolated case, but permeates the company from the district manager to the employee behind the counter. Yes, you can go there for oil and other things that you do not need competent assistance with, but do you really want to support a company that literally tells its customers that they don't care if they shop there or not? read more
