I stopped in to O'Reilly auto parts today because I had a slow leak in a tire and had to have it last another day I asked a gentleman name AJ for help he immediately showed me a number of different products and then suggested what he thought would be best he even offered to help me get it done properly so that the whole procedure would work! In this current day and age I was shocked that someone at an auto parts store would take so much time so much conscientiousness and care to make sure that a customer was taken care of over a $10 product maybe that's why I've spent so much at O'Reilly in the past and keep coming back! Not helpful. Wanted bulk heater hose, got sent to the aisles to find it, and there was nothing there that helped me. Asked if I could accompany an employee behind the counter to select the right hose, but no. I went to Larry's in Goleta and had no issues getting what I needed and going behind the counter to assist. I just went to buy new headlamps and a headlight restore kit. I watched a bunch of videos because I was going to try to do it myself. I am in a bit of a time crunch and I didn't have time to schedule with anyone nearby. I mentioned to Bryan the store associate that I was going to try to do it myself. He promptly said let's go take a look. He gleefully and professionally changed my headlights out with the new bulbs I bought right there in the parking lot. What am amazing experience. As a woman I don't usually get treated very well at any auto parts store. Bryan not only made me feel comfortable he taught me a few tips and tricks while he was changing the bulbs. If I can give them a zero I would. Went in looking for a specific part for my truck, went to the section it would have been in and I didn't see it. Started walking around to see if there was anything else I wanted to buy and was asked it I needed help. I told the employee what I was looking for told me to go back and look in the section I was in. I went back figured I missed something, was looking again and told him I didn't see it. He murmured back "Jesus Christ" in a frustrated tone walked over and was pointing to me where to look. I said it's not here, he walked over looked and said ohh it's not here someone must have bought it, and said I have to buy it somewhere else. I was frustrated with the disrespect and lack of customer service. I will never enter another again. I own 5 trucks and 2 cars. I frequently buy auto parts. read more

I used to think of this as an overpriced big auto store but was forced to re-evaluate after my last visits. The staff at this location has been helpful and professional during my visits and the prices seem reasonable. The location is a bit meh with the little parking lot on the busy bend of La Cumbre making it a less ideal destination store but still good if in the area. read more

This is a great store. You'd think you would be able to find everything you need on Amazon nowadays, but no - we need stores like this. This one is 10min from my house, so it's invaluable when working on my cars and I need something quick. Two recent examples: had to drain a leaking gas tank in an old Mustang. They had an oil pan with a build in canister/cap for something like $12 - amazing. Then I ordered some fuel line from Amazon Prime. It got lost during shipment and I wanted to finish the project on Sunday. O'Reilly had the fuel line I needed (and clamps) by the foot. I only needed a few inches, so it was actually way cheaper than the Amazon order, which I eventually returned after showing up many days late. O'Reilly's staff are very helpful and knowledgeable too, they just tend to stock for more current/popular vehicles, so you won't necessarily be finding everything you need - but can't fault them too much for that! read more

Anabel or however you may spell it has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I've never had an issue with anyone but she takes the cake for worst ever. After standing in line for about 5 minutes (which is understandable) it's finally my turn. I was only going to ask a question and at the time that it was my turn , a woman walked straight up to the counter in front of me. I told her I was standing in line and she had to wait. Anabel is listening to the whole thing. The lady says what she needs and that it'll be "quick" but frankly i don't care, so is mine. I say what I need and Anabel proceeds to help THE OTHER woman. What? So you deliberately saw me waiting and the encounter I had with this woman yet you choose to help her? Not only that, she was unaware and clueless in regards to what I was looking for and making guesses on where it was instead of asking her coworker, who ultimately did know where I could find it My usual help is Eric and he's amazing. Maybe he can give this girl a few pointers on what customer service is all about. read more

Austin and Christian took great care placing the new car battery and removing my crusted over car battery, and trouble shooting issues when my old battery was so corroded it was difficult to remove. Completely unprofessional. The guy bills me for the right tire chains and gives me the wrong product. I had to find out last minute. The chains did not fit. I had to hassle around town to find one. Their concerns had nothing to do with my needs but making sure that they maintain correct inventory level at another store in Chatsworth (which is where I had to go to swap them). I walked into the store to get a price on purchasing a set of hubcaps and seat covers. There were two employees at front who totally ignored me. I walked to the back and I heard a male dropping F-bombs practically every other word. I looked to discover it was an employee, Trevor. I was stunned that a chain would allow that. Then I heard someone tell him that there was a lady in the store. He said " I don't give a F...!" And kept up the pace of talking and swearing. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. We had a hose leaking, and car overheating. The staff looked at it for us, determined it was coolant hose leak, and recommended the correct parts and coolant type, and got the car fixed quickly after the car cooled down. I had an amazing experience at this store today. I am here in Santa Barbara due to my mother in law having a stroke while camping near by so has been in ICU for a week. We are all from Fresno and have been staying here in the cottages the hospital supplies for families. I woke up to a car that didn't want to start. I took it over and O'reilly the guys tested it and it was dead. These guys went over and beyond to help me. Patrick was a prime example of the way people and customer service should be. He took my battery out which wasn't easy and installed the new one. I had bought some windshield fluid and without being asked filled for me along with checking all my fluids. All I have to say is WOW. All of that would of cost me an arm and a leg anywhere else. After all the wonderful things he did for me as I was leaving he took the time to tell me he was praying for my family. Amazing man, employee, and all around person. He deserves to be blessed and definitely needs a raise. You don't find people like him anymore. Sign says they open at 7:30. At 7:40 a guy comes to unlock the door and then walks away. I open the door and walk in saying "good morning" to no reply. I just bought a quick set of jumper cables. Had to wait in line for them to open registers, then answer phone calls. I was only customer in the store but took 25 minutes to get jumper cables. read more
