I cannot believe the level of poor customer service and sheer rudeness of the woman at the counter this morning. Sassy, unkind, and unaccomodating. Ma'am if you don't like your job, don't work there. I've been choosing O'Reilly for years BECAUSE they are known to be reliable and helpful. NOT SO this morning. We spent $100 on a battery the day prior for our RV while stopping over for the night. Got it to camp and the battery registered as half full. By morning, our LED lights wouldn't power on. No big deal, right? Just thought we'd bring it back and exchange for one that had power seeing as how its brand new. With an air of complete and utter rudeness, she tested it and said 'our policy is not to return it but charge it for 24 hours before doing anything, and if we don't like it we can wait for a manager.' WOW. I don't mind company policy, in fact I get it, but the way in which it was delivered was so off putting and rude, I am seriously considering never being a repeat customer to O'Reilly's. 100% unnecessary. She even said, 'It was probably just our vehicle, or whatever.' To the manager: you may want to employ those who represent your company well. She definitely does not. read more

DON'T BUY A BATTERY HERE. They don't want to honor the warranty. I've had an "account" here since 2010, and shopped there when it was Checker Auto as well. Employees come and go, so I usually don't complain about really bad service, which I have experienced on occasion, because they're paid poorly and won't be there by the time someone reads this. My recent experience is on another level, though. In July of 2018, I purchased a battery for my car, and I got the "better" quality one with a 3 year warranty. Lately, my battery has been going dead if I don't drive the car for a week. I took it in to my O'Reilly's store number 2751 here in Santa Fe to be tested, and they said it needed to be replaced. So far, so good. I don't know where the invoice for that battery is--it could even be in the car, but I was there in another vehicle because, you know, dead battery and all. They'll just look it up on their computer, no problem, right? PROBLEM. Apparently, when I purchased it, the employee failed to record it on my account, so it couldn't be looked up. I've been buying batteries for almost 40 years, and EVERYWHERE ELSE, they go by the clearly marked month and date of purchase RIGHT ON THE BATTERY, but this store refused to honor the warranty, even though it is their store brand, and there is a label from their distribution center showing that it was sent to THIS STORE on July 10, 2018. The store employees' attitude was basically: "Go away, we can't help you", rather than trying to resolve it. I guess they are trained to assume that everyone is a criminal trying to pull one over on them, even when I had JUST THAT MORNING bought a battery for my truck when I dropped off my car battery to be tested, and they could see my purchases going back to 2010, which is when they installed their current customer database. No one even called the manager until I had called their national battery warranty line and O'Reilly's customer service and wasted an hour in the store. The final outcome is that told me they wouldn't sell me another battery, refunded rather than warranted the dead battery, and I will never shop their again EXCEPT WHEN THE TRUCK BATTERY I JUST BOUGHT fails. Keeping that invoice in the truck, even though they claim that this time it was recorded on my account. Purchases just seem to magically disappear at this store. read more

Where is the negative star? Need one for this place. If you're NOT female and don't believe in masks shop here. You have to start using technical terms like "Belville washer, conical washer, etc" before the manager decides oops female knows something better get it together. Communication with Customer service from online services and franchise stores is really bad. And of course it's the customer's fault....right? According to management for the day and an employee it totally is the customer's fault . Remember those superpowers you have that you use only for loosing parts for something you really need? (the parts were lost in shipment. ) Thanks to customer service from the flagship did this get worked out. But not without the employee or manager badgering the customer. On top of all this Two customers out of 5 without face coverings came in and served anyway. One was courteous since it was obvious he forgot his and really tried his best to cover his face with hand, shirt elbow. But Mr Bravado, mask hanging around his neck, felt he was good looking(?) Or something , knew what he was doing. ( got his photo ) He just kept plucking at it for 15 minutes. Waited outside because of him!! But got to observe and even get some photos. Was on a cross-country trip had a minor catastrophe with literally a wheel falling off of are towed vehicle. Mike was amazing took extra time to help me cross-reference parts and get something back together so that we could get on the road. That type of service is the reason that O'Reilly's is the only place I buy my parts. Thank you Mike you're a credit to the company and they should be proud to have you on board. read more

My daughter went to this O'Reilly's Store Number 2751 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her brake fluid was low and she told the O'Reilly's attendant that she wanted to purchase brake fluid and have him put it in her 2005 Chevy Silverado truck. The attendant got the product off the shelf, and mistakenly picked up power steering fluid, sold it to her, then proceeded to put the power steering fluid in the brake system. As a direct result of this error by an O'Reilly's employee, my daughter's car is now not drivable. The power steering fluid in the brake system ruined her brakes. I have a written estimate for repairs totaling $1358.83 (1217.84 in parts and 140.99 labor). They store will not admit to putting in the wrong fluid. The salesman no longer works there. Don't go there unless they take responsibility for their mistakes. read more

The taller guy working today (8/22/21) honestly deserves a promotion if he isn't already a manager. I called about getting a new car battery, and his authenticity and kindness over the phone brought me to the store initially. From there, he was attentive and quickly helped me find an estimate. I decided to not get the battery, as it was out of my price range. I'm from out of town and was feeling very emotional, and ended up crying in my car lol. He came over to politely check on me and see if he could help at all. Coming from someone who has been in the service industry for sometime and studies psychology, this guy has really great people skills. I left feeling much better simply because of his great customer service. read more

Best auto store in town. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. Even after I was wrongfully suspected of shoplifting (I tried returning something without a receipt), I still go back because the rest of my experiences have gone so well. Pep boys and Auto Zone are never quite as helpful. Plus, O-O-O O'Riely's jingle is SOOO catchy. read more

The guys here have been super helpful on many occasions. They help me look up replacement part numbers, batteries, and everything else. Convenient and easy to park too. I'll be a customer here as long as I live in the 505. read more

So my brother had the WORST experience at O'riley's Automotive today. He is painting his mud bog and purchased paint that was bad at the store in Santa Fe, NM. On top of that when he went in to show them and return it for a refund they refused all the while there was no manager on duty and the staff was not customer friendly! I wish there was a zero stars option. Customer service here is terrible. We were treated disrespectfully upon entering the store. The staff is NOT knowledgable and did not even know how a basic headlight works. We called ahead the night before and were told we could receive a particular service. After waiting over 30 minutes to be helped, we were told that service was not offered there and that they "never touch" the type of car I have. It is an extremely common vehicle. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

I have long used Yelp reviews to guide my restaurant and other choices but never done my own review before. I created an account specifically so I could review this place. Our windscreen wiper arm broke in the middle of a road trip and O'Reillys were super fast courteous and helpful in getting us back on the road in minutes. If I could give no stars it would be more appropiate. We went to shop for floor mats for our vehicle. Jerry let us take one out to see if it would fit our car. We decided not to purchase them and my husband returned them back to the store. We purchased our floor mats from Pep Boys. We returned back to O Riley's on Cerrillos Road to purchase a light bulb for a tail light, and as we entered the store this jerk named Jerry loudly accused us of stealing the floor mats from this store the day before. He went to our vehicle and saw floor mats we purchased at Pep boys and continued to accuse us of stealing them. He made a scene in front of other customers. Needless to say we were embarrass. This all occurred in front of the manager. This was clearly a mistake and we didn't even receive a apology from this jerk Jerry. I will be contacting O'Riley's corporate office in MO and will let them know how we were poorly treated. I will be asking for the firing of this jerk Jerry who lacks customer service skills. I'm actually upset that I have to give this business 1 star instead of 0. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I went there to replace a car battery and was told that it needed to be charged and tested before a warranty replacement could be done. After keeping my battery for TWO days they finally called and said it was ready for pickup. They said it tested fine and should work now. A few weeks later, as I go to start my car for work, the battery is dead again so I take it back in. The woman working there (not sure if she was a manager) was so rude and insisted that it was my alternator even though I had communicated that I had recently had my car tuned up and checked. After leaving the battery there again to be charged and tested, I got a call that the battery was no good and could finally be replaced. When I stopped to pick it up no one came to talk to me about it they just pointed in it's direction and went on with their business. I don't know how stores can operate with such terrible customer service. I will not be returning and I will tell anyone with automotive needs to avoid this place at all costs. read more

I am a father of 3 and the only driver in the family (my wife is disabled). I have had good experiences with O'Reilly overall. However, this branch is abhorrent. They seem to not understand that if you have a vehicle with a bad starter, you cannot start the car. They will not uninstall the starter (fine) to test it, so unless you have the expertise you have to have a mechanic uninstall the starter. They will not take a certified mechanic's diagnosis that the starter is bad (fine) and need to inspect the part themselves (fine). Not very neighborly but OK. BUT, when you explain you only have 1 vehicle and are the only driver, and you need your car to get from the mechanic (so the part can be removed) to the auto parts location, and in order to get there you need to pay for a new starter to be installed, and thus need a refund (one of the remediation options) for the old broken one, and they REFUSE that option citing they can only replace it (now giving you a 2nd starter you don't need, not on the car, but in your hand) that is NOT fine. First they told me it was "policy" (lie) then when I read them the plain language of the warranty agreement they admitted it was "manager discretion" ... Fortunately other locations are willing to help. I then called this location back and inquired why they are unwilling to help customers and honor their warranty agreement; and they confirmed what I already knew.. they could care less. But, I did want them to know it was them, and them specifically. And I write this review so other customers don't buy their lies. This location is run by "Andy" and "Peter" ... "Andy" & "Peter" shall therefore be specifically named in complaints I shall issue following this review, to the Better Business Bureau, O'Reilly district management, and other consumer advocacy groups / state agencies. This is definitely one location that urgently needs New Management. Other locations will stand behind the company and its products, this location (or at least its management) is in it for the money with zero regard for the customer; sleazy & disgusting. I haven't been to the one on Airport Road but I would go the extra distance there, or to a different brand of parts store altogether, if you are in Santa Fe. read more
