Today I visited the autozone to buy a car headlight bulb. I asked an employee for help installing it, but he told me it was "impossible" because an air intake was blocking access to the bulb. He even suggested that I go to a body shop to have the air intake removed just to replace a simple light. This was honestly ridiculous. After that, I replaced the bulb myself in less than one minute, without removing anything at all. I'm very disappointed by how unqualified and misleading the advice was. Employees should have at least basic knowledge of simple car maintenance, or at the very least not give incorrect recommendations that waste customers' time and money. read more

This morning, I arrived after 8:00 am. The store was closed with employees waiting for the key holder (manager?). Once she arrived, maybe 5 minutes after the store should be open for customers. She unloaded the door, the other employees one in and the last employee, a heavy set white guy, turns and locks the door. Knowing I was waiting to make purchases and use their tool rental. I guess after decades of purchases for the six cars I maintain. I have now switched to O'Reilly as my go to for parts. I felt this autozone really doesn't care much. I was at home and I popped the hood of my car to put some windshield liquid in my car. I noticed my car battery had some corrosion and I realized I didn't know when was the last time I had this changed. I drive 40 miles everyday for work so I figured peace of mind to get it checked out. Mind you it was still running and I didnt see no indication that it was failing but again...I wanted to know the health of it. I had a friend who used to work here and I remember him mentioning that Autozone does battery health checks and they can install a new battery if you bought one from them. So I head over and spoke to the cashier...later another employee came by to check on it. He showed me that it failed...then mentioned that I would need a new bracket and some nuts/bolts because it was a little rusty. The bracket seemed fine to me so not sure why he mentioned that but I do admit the bolts were a bit rusty but it was not to the point where it was going to break. He asked if I wanted to buy it, quoted a price that seemed higher than I researched and that he seemed unsure to do it because autozone isnt reliable if the rusty parts were gonna break that I would have to go to a shop. I just got the impression he didnt want to do it to be honest and I had a feeling I needed a 2nd opinion. I have Triple AAA. They also do free quotes and battery life checks too. They came in 20mins after getting home, he was super helpful and confirmed it did need a new battery. I had the battery for 5 yrs and it did have some health left but would need a new one soon. But he also confirmed my suspicions that I did not need a a bracket, hes was like this still perfectly fine. He also confirmed that the bolts/nuts were just fine as well. Even a little rust, he was like this is normal and theyre not duds. Price for installation, recycling of the old battery and etc was still cheaper w/ Triple AAA. Also included is the 3 year warranty! Overall, just always get a 2nd opinion and dont feel the need to buy/do more to your car. Do your research and shop around! read more

If you do not know exactly what you need and exactly how to install it do not come here. They will aggressively give you bad advice and then mock you if you ask any questions. Isabell made it very clear with her attitude that she thought I was a complete idiot because I did not believe her. She told me I did not need a tiny Phillips head screwdriver to open my 2012 Honda accord remote case but rather I just needed to pry it open with a medium sized Flat head screwdriver. This would have destroyed the case and I knew that. I asked her for a small Phillips screwdriver as most parts stores have one for jobs like this and she just rolled her eyes and told me that I did not need it but I should just pry it open with the flathead. Then she told me that she used to replace them at a place where she worked before and she knew what she was talking about. When I asked her if she would replace the cracked case when I pried it open like this she told me "AutoZone is not reliable" I am sure she meant to use the word liable but in this case she was on point. 100% not reliable. I cannot imagine ever coming back here for anything. Probably will avoid the entire chain for a while if this is the kind of training and attitude they foster here. read more

This is a good enough store that seems busy, to the point when you walk in, there's no welcoming greeting nor through the shopping experience will you be approached with a "Hello, may I help you?" customer service greeting if you can even find someone who isn't at the register or in the back. The inventory seems robust enough for every need 'tho it's not a huge location, so there are probably bigger and better automotive stores that are peer competitors if you're looking for something specific by brand or size (model/make). Been here twice and one runs it was poring rain and the cashier came out and out on new windshield wipers for me. I came by for oil today and Ricardo A. helped me add it to my car. I then asked him why everyone that works here is always so happy and nice. And the reason why I asked him that question was because I own a business and I want to know what the secret is to having happy employees that always satisfy the customers. To my surprise he said that this AutoZone gets really bad reviews. And he would love for me to leave a review and so I am. The reviews are definitely wrong or probably left when there was different management or maybe different employees but every time I've come here I've always had such courteous service and no one hated their job. Ricardo is amazing. Seriously. I've been to this autozone location for a couple of times now. I've always had positive/neutral experiences here. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. I went in because my check engine light came on while I was on my way to work and I went in to see what it was all about. The trouble was with my temperature sensor which I had recently replaced. I vented out my confusion and frustration to Ricardo and he offered to check the warranty on the product, and offered a new one because the sensor was still under warranty. Now, I'm a girl. People have tried ripping me off in the past and it's been frustrating. Ricardo helped me figure out what tools I needed to take the part out and gave encouragement when I was hesitating to. Eventually he came out to help me because the placement of the sensor was kinda weird- but He went above and beyond and replaced the part for me. He was friendly, informative, and just amazing overall. Never have I ever gotten amazing support like that. He's SO INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY So if you don't want a boring old dude who thinks he knows everything huffing and puffing at you... go here. There's a reason why I keep coming back. My car has been having problems starting lately so i imagined it to be the battery. My coworker told me that auto-zone offers free battery checks. I went in and was helped by Anthony. The store was fairly busy but he gave me his time and attention and asked for his coworkers to help the front while he helped me. He came out and tested the battery. Told me that it's no good. We went over options and he was honest about the different prices. He asked me to move my car closer to the shop to replace the battery but conveniently my battery completely died right then and there so he came over and replaced the battery for me and showed me how to do it and how to avoid further corrosion on my battery. I am so not car-savvy i didn't even know how to open the hood of my car and Anthony showed no sign of judgement even though it was quite embarsssing. Will return for further auto needs. Ricardo the parts sales manager has poor conflict resolution skills. He sold me a used part and then would not accept the return despite not checking his inventory before putting things on the shelf.
