I had just gotten into my car at 72nd and Hwy 99 and began to back out of a parking stall when the car died. All kinds of warning lights, check engine, etc. began happening. I was 5 feet from the parked car behind me, maybe they're at McD's, which left no room for any movement. I got out opened the hood, and checked the battery cells (low). Got my water bottle and replaced the water. Tried to start the car again, no-go, and tried again. I asked God to let it turn over so I could get to O'Reilly's- just a block south. Whoa! God answered my prayer, and the engine started. I made a beeline to O'Reilly's. Walked in and requested a scan. Within minutes, a scan was done, and we went back inside for the answer. The Store Manager, Drew Giovanini, explained that the car's Camshaft Position Sensor's magnetic alignment was failing and needed a replacement. Drew said I was fortunate that the magnets lined up enough to start the engine to get here. I said I needed to see a mechanic. A customer (auto mechanic) had just walked in, and Drew introduced us. Jose said he could help me. Jose removed the dead part and brought it in so Drew could match it with a replacement. Jose had the part inserted, the engine reset, and I was able to drive away within 20 minutes of arrival. I had more than my simple please start my car God prayer answered. I thank all the personnel at ORielly's and Jose for being my heroes. read more

They were really friendly and helped explain to me a couple things I needed to know as I was changing my spark plugs and wires outside - they even brought me a couple windshield wipers and put them on for free and I thought that was really sweet another guy even cleaned my headlights while I was changing my spark plugs and wires today and they were very helpful!! It's so tough to feel stranded on the road and it's nice to have a place like this that can give you good advice and encourage you on your trip. read more

I purchased a Radiator and after I spent most of the day putting it in started up my vehicle and it was leaking from the bottom! I called the store and I wasn't nice at all to the manager I apologize he went out of his way to get me another Radiator from a sister store! What a great guy thanks for your hard help to get me going now I can leave town!! I'm sorry I don't recall his name but he handled the situation very nicely! Came in, nice kept small store, has everything all the other stores have, just had nobody help me while I was walking around the store, the only customer in the store with 2 tellers standing at their computers. No greeting, no acknowledgment of presence at all. Needed help finding an item and wanted advice on what brand to get, but after not being helped, started to google info on products and the reviews made me not want to purchase it after all. Walked out to nobody saying anything to me again. I don't feel bad because the item I was looking for was a oil leak deal, and I totally went there to buy some in the mean time that I could get my car to the mechanic, but if someone would have said anything to me, even said "idk I guess this will do" I would have bought something. Don't go here. I've gone in twice now first time for a gas cap for a 57 Chevy and the guy said he just simply couldn't help me they weren't available took me one search on the Internet to find a provider and actually get a gas cap within three days, didn't expect him to have the gas cap but could've been more helpful. Second time I went in The same guy helps me who appears to be the manager, small man with glasses and a beard This Second time I went in I was looking for a connector for my car to my trailer, I told him it was a standard 7 blade connector and he looked it up in his computer turned the screen around and said it wasn't out for the 2019 cars. I asked if they weren't standard and he looked at me like I was stupid. Went up the street to Advance auto, asked the same question and Charley came out from behind the counter (imagine that, service!!) and pulled an a standard 7 bladE adapter off the shelf that plugged right in. If the guy at Reilly is the manager he doesn't understand service or just doesn't care. He should fire himself. read more

I went in needing a headlight bulb and a brake light bulb. I didn't know which kind to get so I started to try my hand (first time) at dismantling the rear light so I could bring it in. Drew, the manager saw me and came outside (in the heat!) and offered to help. He showed me how to do it and got both bulbs off and replaced as well as new wiper blades. He put everything on for me with a funny, happy personality. All of that would have gotten 5 stars from me but then, get this, he brought out some plastic polish liquid and a buffer on a drill and BUFFED MY HEADLIGHTS! It took all that horrible fog off of them! He didn't try to sell me anything. He just said you shouldn't get nice bright bulbs and have the headlights look like sunglasses. Drew is my guy! I have been giving my business to this store since 1993 and have had only a positive experience although I think it was a Schucks' when I first started? Unless things have changed the employees were always nice, polite, helpful and professional? This particular store is/was very handy on my way from work in Portland until my retirement in 2002? After that I still continued to stop here now and then and still do occasionally? Came in for a battery check sales rep wasn't helpful at all didn't want to check my battery simply because it had corrosion then offered me the cheapest battery didn't even mention their other options nor went it to detail about how many cca the batteries had wouldn't recommend. This store used to be about service and taking good care of customers not so much now. Not a pleasant experience to shop there. They used to come outside to your car to help with wipers etc.I went into the store on Saturday August 8th 2021 at around 3pm .I had the buyer of my vehicle with me and we where unable to remove license plate frame and license plate due to to rusty screws.We bought a new plate frame and ask 3 18 to 20 something employees standing around with there hands in there pockets chatting about personal issues. I asked if one of them could help us and look at the car. They all looked at each other as if they where bothered two of them said where busy and pointed at the redhead employee.They said he can help.The helper acted disgruntled as he searched for a tool to help.He then takes a Phillips and goes won't come off .I already had said they need vice grips.So without a word he walks away and dissappears.So we buy a set of vice grips from there store and where able to Remove it.We go back into the store to buy 2 replacement screws and there like 2.75 each for cheap unplated screws.I had enough and said I will go to Parkrose hardware and buy 2 stainless screws for 50 cents each hmmp. Don't know if they where just hostile and disrespectful towards seniors or management likes to hire employees who don't like there job and don't want to be there.This isn't the first experience there.Never a smile just plain rudeness must explain why there never busy. read more

My visit started off good. The people were nice. But after running a diagnostic and being told something was wrong with my alternator I took my car to get more diagnostics run and found out my battery was the only issue. So I ended up spending way more then I originally needed to due to given wrong information. Then I contacted someone regarding my disappointed customer service and was told I would have someone contact me. No one ever did. Not only am I disappointed in my visit at this location but disappointed in the company all together. read more

I went in to have a code read and to buy spark plugs but that is not what happened. The counter person said he cannot read the code because his coworker called in sick. The same person would not sell me plugs. He said it was because he did not have oem on hand. When I asked for a substitute he suggested I go to his buddies auto shop down the street and gave me a $20 coupon for Pegoraro Auto Repair, which immediately seemed fishy. How do does the store make money by sending me away? I did not come in to have somebody else fix the car. Ultimately I ended up taking it to my own mechanic at 1/2 the cost of his buddies shop. I would have preferred to have got the right part at the right time. This was two weeks ago. I have given myself time to not be upset at this store but its not working so well. If you need zero customer service then this is the store for you. For me, there are three other parts stores, not part of this chain, in this neighborhood that I will be using instead. This store used to be Schucks but now is O'Reilly. I think O'Reilly made a bad purchase. read more

This store need better trained staff. I've called twice to ask if they had a basic parts in stock.. Each time the guy answering the phone said they didn't have the part. Both times, they neglected to mention that they had a universal part, or another that would work. The first time, it was an oil breather cap for a small block chevy. The guy asked me info on my vehicle, and said they didn't have one. I thought I'd remembered seeing one on a display rack, so I went in anyway, and there it was, in shiny chrome.
