I did a fair amount of additional research and then went to Olson. They provided four great options. All would need to be ordered and would arrive within 3-4 days. I also went to a big chain tire store. The chain provided two of the same options that Olson had. Olson was way less than the dealer (of course) and their price for the exact same tire was less than the chain tire store, as well. Brought the car in today. Received a loaner. They found an issue with the tire pressure monitor (which has been an issue with my car). They diagnosed it and tried a couple of things. It appears to be fixed. The diagnosis and "fix" did not cost a thing. The best place in Wausau for tires and auto service. Also, their body shop is top notch!

I have 2 experiences to compare Kocourek to others. 1. Service, last week I brought my Outback in for 60K service knowing rear pads were at 2mm from another location check 3K miles ago. I got a quote for service and breaks from my Subaru dealer in CA and the out the door price was over $2300. Doing the same service here plus rear brakes ran me just over $1400. I drive down from 3Lakes area and wait for the car... they arranged for a rental so I could tool around Wausau for a few hours. all in all a great day. 2. Sales, last week when I was doing service, I reviewed purchasing a 2nd Subaru for the family. having purchased 2 Outback's in CA I found that getting anything less than MSRP is nearly impossible without broker or fleet connections... Whereas here in the Midwest, Kocourek started at $2500 off MSRP. Then when picking up the car today, they said that they had pre-installed "undercoating" but were absorbing it... as a courtesy for the few days of back and forth texts and emails to close the deal. Bottom line, this dealer is over the top in both service and sales compared to the 2 local dealers I am used to in Northern California. Happy to share I am a big fan.

I was promptly contacted by Yee Lor from Kocourek Chevrolet. First of all, I prefer to communicate via email due to work availability, and he fully respected that instead of calling. I appreciate that sooo much!!! I told him what I wanted and he sent me a suggestion. When I went to test drive, he was out with a different customer, but everyone else in the facility was more than happy to help until he got back. I had my 84 YO mother along with me (gotta make sure she can get in/out of my vehicle!) and they were so patient and accommodating for her! I ended up getting a 2020 Traverse and I absolutely love it! When I went to pick it up, they went through all the features/bells/whistles with me so I knew how things worked. Of course I had a long list of questions with me but they answered every single one. In addition, there were two (fairly minor but annoying) cosmetic issues with it and Yee spoke to his manager and got approval to have them fixed. Excellent service! I particularly appreciate that they didn't try to upsell me into something else. They respected my choices! VERY nice group of people over there! Definitely would go back again!
