With HNL's Economy Parking lot closing down due to the expansion of the Interisland Commuter terminal, I needed to find an alternative for both my short- and long-term airport needs. Used to use Oahu Airport Shuttle when I previously lived in Honolulu, so I decided to try them again to see if OAS would still be a good fit for my airport shuttle runs. Making reservations for departures or arrivals hasn't changed. Call their (808) 681-8000 number or go to their website (oahuairportshuttle.com), reservations made 72 hours prior and on-line qualify for a 10% discount. They will text you both a confirming reservation and on the day prior the number and name of your driver. I've used them twice for 2 airport round trips since I've come back to Honolulu, OAS have either been extremely punctual or have texted updates. I love the fact you don't need to get picked up at the busy personal or commercial arrival area, but in a licensed area Diamond Head of Baggage Claim H. Their one-way fare to/from McCully/Moiliili with the 72 hr on-line discount is $26.10, pretty reasonable and hasn't changed too much in 7-8 years, pretty amazing. The whole ride-share phenomenon wasn't around the last time I used OAS, so I'll probably use a ride-share at least once to see how it compares. But I wouldn't be surprised if Oahu Airport Shuttle compares favorably. Will repeat and recommend! read more

This is the ONLY airport shuttle we use. We may be moving in the near future and I swear I will likely bring this guy(s) with me. They are THAT good! Don't waste your time with anyone else. Use them and you won't be disappointed! They are always on time and have never made us wait. They are extremely patient with frazzled travelers, like we tend to be. I love that they waste no time loading suitcases and arranging things "just so". Their vans are clean and well air conditioned. There is plenty of room! Every single driver that we have had has been genuinely friendly. There is no dodging obstacles and speeding to the airport so they can drop you off and pick up their next customer. They unload your bags and make sure you are checked in and have all of your things before sending you off with a friendly aloha. Airport pick ups are much the same. Again, we have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable and we have never had an issue with them not being available. Tip: Book online for a discount. The bottom line...this is the ONLY shuttle service to use! read more

I would not rely on this shuttle service if you want to be picked up timely either to go to the airport or go home from the airport. I'm not sure what happened to this company. I used to catch them quite frequently and they would always send this one man to pick me up. He was always reliable and prompt. This time however, I scheduled a pick up at the airport to take me to my house this afternoon but no one came. I called the company and no one answered at first. Called again and a woman answered and said her husband forgot his cell phone. She was going to call the driver and call me back. After waiting for five minutes I called her back to find out what was going on. If there wasn't going to be a driver to pick me up I was going to just catch a cab. Apparently the guy Jeff, who runs the company didn't schedule my pick up so they scrambled to get someone to come and get me from the airport. By the time someone came I waited for 45 minutes! If you want to make sure you make your flight or you want to be picked up upon your return, I would NOT recommend this company any longer. read more

Don't rely on this shuttle service! Here's what happened to me when I was counting on them for a ride to my flight: [Short story is they showed up nearly an hour late and I only made the flight because there was no line at the TSA checkpoint and I ran all the way to my gate.] Longer story: I called and spoke to the owner, Jeff, about my need for a ride and he advised me to sign up on-line. But he noted all sorts of quirks about the online system, which gave me the impression they don't invest in making the system work well. In the phone call he told me they would call the night before to reconfirm and the message I received from the online system said the same thing - I would be called between 7:00 and 9:00 pm. I did not receive a call, so I called the main number again and spoke to Jeff. He sounded a little distracted but said yes, my ride was confirmed for 11:10 - 11:15 am. the next day. I was beside the road by my gate waiting for a ride at 11:10 am. At 11:15, no one had appeared, so I called Jeff again. It was apparent he had completely forgotten. Over a series of phone calls, he kept making excuses and delaying and did not have the driver contact me directly, which I requested to be sure he could find my address on the back roads of Kahaluu. He finally admitted, "I screwed up." But that didn't help - how was I to make my flight? I was furious after having reconfirmed my reservation. Finally a very nice taxi cab driver showed up and said he helps Jeff out from time to time. I learned from him that I wasn't the only one who had been forgotten that morning. Bottom line: This company is unprofessional and unreliable. Avoid them if you want to get to the airport on time! They should not be in business, hurting unsuspecting passengers who have placed trust in their service. read more

This was my first experience using Oahu Airport Shuttle, and they did a great job. Communication was outstanding, and Michael was perfectly on time for both my departure and return. I had given these guys a rave review before when my daughter 1st went to college, but after I flew her home for Thanksgiving I booked them again (online) for her to return to her dorm they never showed up. Her flight was delayed, but they had told me before they kept up with the flights when you provide a flight number. it was late at night. Not a happy mom for a daughter to be out in Honolulu airport with no shuttle, no answer of their phone, no communication, at midnight! She is returning to college tomorrow after winter break and I booked it on Speedi Shuttle, will post how they do. read more

Reasonable rates and excellent service! Rate for one person varies by distance, and each additional person is only $5-9 depending on distance, so this is a great option for groups. Discount for online reservations. We brought a group in from Maui for a conference at UH Manoa, and the driver brought them all the way into campus to the door of the building so they wouldn't get lost or rained on. read more
