Called ahead to have 4 extinguishers inspected/service for scheduled HFD Inspection of our shop 5 days from today. Lady on phone said they close at 4 p.m. and to be here before 3:45 p.m. at latest, can be done. I told her I was sending my driver and got to their shop at 2:05 p.m.. She said they could not do the inspection because they have a technician working on "more important C02 items and cannot have him stop" for 4 extinguishers.. She also related that we could leave it and would be ready on the day of HFD re-inspection of fire extinguishers. What????? Situation handled very poorly, without any effort to accommodate at least 1 for our inspection... read more

As of 2026, they are no longer doing same-day refill service, FYI. I was really excited about this business previously because I could get same-day refills and not have to make two trips from far away. Now I have to do round-trip, which makes them equivalent to most of the other places on island. read more

The service was very friendly and courteous. The attention insisted that he carry the co2 tank and showed me to the office to pay. The office staff was really nice and friendly and the price was much less than I expected. Kudos to all the staff being friendly, courteous and professional. I managed to find this place thanks to Yelp. I came here just to get my 5lb tank filled with Co2 for my makeshift Sodastream tank refiller. Which, might I add, was a massive savings in the end! Costing only $30 to fill my 5 lb tank, I'm literally saving hundreds using my sodastream. Service here is exceptional. Their fast and friendly. It appears their primary function is filling fire extinguishers, which was something I didn't know existed and pretty interesting. Their located in this little industrially pocket on the island that was right down the street from me and I never knew existed. Not much when it came to parking but I was only there for like 5 minutes so although only a few spots along the road I guess it's enough. Not like people are flocking to this place. Definitely will be coming back to fill my tank when the time comes. read more

Had to fill my Co2 tank. Of course it was so old it expired. Had to be hydro. They were back logged, and said it would be about a week to get it done. They didn't have a replacement tank the same size as mine. They didn't have any exchange of the bigger size. But a guy went out to see if he had one that had been hydro. He found one and said he could reuse my old valve to save some on it. Talk about going out of your way to help. The people there are always so nice and helpful. As long as you are the same. I needed to get my shiny new 5lb CO2 bottle filled, and took it to a competitor. Won't say the name, but it has Air and Gas in it. They told me it would take 1 and a half weeks. He said, "oh, and this bottle gonna be all bussup when u get it back, fo sure." I said, "what if I give you the plastic bag it came in?" He said, "yeah, no matta". I said "what if I give u the box it came in"? He said, "no matta...trust me, gonna have plenty scratches." I said what if I took it to your store in Kapolei? Could they fill it for me there?" They were hired by my building to fix dry pipe. They left their equipment all over the public sidewalk blocking the walkway while they were working. They then proceeded to complain to our general manager about residents using said public land for their dogs when we are technically the client. And during the time of a pandemic, only a few were masks and none of them were social distancing. A group of guys would proceed to eat lunch in the building lobby blocking residents from entering and exiting. Does their company not have a safety policy? read more

Pulled up to Oahu fire protection to refill my co2 tank . I didn't see the door to there office so I went in the shop area and one of the boys escorted me in the right direction. Paid $31.40 to refill a 5# tank they accept cash or credit . 10 minutes later all PAU !! Fast easy excellent customer service that I really appreciate!!! Took our two expired extinguisher's there. They were honest and told me that one has failed and they cannot service that one. Rather then sell me a bunch of baloney. They re-charged/serviced the other at a fair price. I have two more to service and you can bet that Oahu Fire Protection will have my business from now on. Decided to go to Island Hydrostatics in Kaneohe Called Oahu fire protection about a paintball HPA tank , gave the appropriate specs its 68ci/4500 carbon fiber , got a quote for $45 to re hydrostatic test the tank . I was a little discouraged with the price because 4 years ago with was only $20-25. And not to mention a brand new carbon fiber tank without regulator could be bought for $60-$90 The staff seemed very friendly over the phone and I was actually planning on paying the 45 because it's better to recycle and retest than to just throw out a good tank and buy new . But , I decided to price shop and went to Island Hydrostatics in Kaneohe and he was also very nice and is retesting my hpa tank for $30 read more

It's the second time that i've gone to them for this service and the overall experience went without a hitch! The staff was very friendly and my tank was filled within 10minutes. I like that you can bring your own tank - other places tend to switch your tank out for a newly filled tank or make you use their own tanks. The place is a bit hard to find. Filling up a CO2 tank for a kegerator? You have found the place. Most of the folks I talked to before coming to Oahu Fire said that I would have to wait a day or two to get it filled. Not so! Like the other review says, they were going to fill it up right away. Unfortunately, my tank was out of hydro. So for $25, they hydro'ed the tank, and for another $20, they filled the tank. And it was all done in about 30 to 45 minutes. I may be blind, but it was a little hard to spot. I actually pulled into Pacific Fire Protection about 8 street numbers down and found out quickly that they are NOT the same place. read more

I'll be writing this wearing my aquarium hat. Went here to fill up my CO2 tank for my aquarium. They were unable to fill my Azoo tank, but Damien made me up a nice big 5lb tank in about 45 minutes. They fill up the tanks right there on the spot, unlike Gaspro, who takes your tank and gives you a different one a week later. They charged $45 for the tank to be made up and filled, much cheaper than any other place I've heard of. Damien was awesome, highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to add CO2 to their tank. Called them yesterday and they will be filling paintball tanks! YES!!! Now I can fill my paintball tanks for my planted aquarium. I called ahead to make sure that they could fill the tanks right away (The first time I took to there I had to leave it over night and I live in town). I already knew that they charge $15.00 for the 20oz tank. And not wanting to have to go back in months I bought my 12oz tank to get filled also. I asked the lady how much would it be for the 12oz tank. And this is what I got...... She said that it would be $15.00 for each tank! But since I bought in 2 tanks she would charge me only $14.00 for each tank. So in other words its $15.0o for my 20oz tank and $15.00 for my 12oz tank! I cannot understand why they don't charge according to the tank size. If they charge $15.00 for the 20oz and if I did my math correct it comes out to .75¢ an ounce. And for the 12oz bottle it would be $9.00. Please don't get me wrong I am glad that they are filling paintball tanks because they are the ONLY ones that fill CO2 in paintball tanks. But please try to price according to the size of the tank. read more

I found this place by luck, and I cannot believe it.I have to start by saying this business and all of its employees are top shelf in my book. They are all bread from old school values, and you just cannot find that kind of employees/employers any more. I called this establishment after being let down by one of the bigger companies in town, Air gas.I had a pleasant and informed conversation with a lovely person by the name of Denise.We talked about what my needs were ,what they had to offer and also some wonderful suggestions on how to get the most out of the product I was purchasing, and this was all before I had even set foot in their store.I was so overwhelmed with all the information she had given me and the different options, and I must mention how she had treated me that I had to go and see the store .I arrived just after work and walked into a little store down in pearl city industrial.Paring was a little difficult to find but well worth it.The people there were just as pleasant and professional on the phone as they were in person.I not only got exactly what I was looking for,but I also found different products that I would be needing very soon. read more

I'm pleased that Oahu Fire Protection will fill and service most bottles while you wait or within one day. I suggest you take advantage of that capability. Oahu Fire Protection (OFP) is located DEEP into the Pearl City Industrial Park and I happen to say, (on a Wednesday) "There's no rush, I'll pick it (a 5 lb Halon fire extinguisher) up on Monday." Bad Call. When I returned on Monday the OFP staff had no idea where my extinguisher was. The technician that had originally helped me hadn't made it in to work yet. (@10:30 AM) Another employee and I searched the warehouse (shed?) for minutes before locating my bottle - which looked like it hadn't been touched short of the inventory tag having been attached. Apologies were expressed and promises made that as soon as the tech arrived he would be directed to work on my extinguisher. I pointed out my phone number that was on the inventory tag - requesting a call once the work was complete. On Thursday, having not heard anything, I called them to find out my extinguisher was ready. I guess a single $200.00 recharge service (Halon is not cheap) is not a significant amount to OFP and doesn't rate a call? On a positive note, the fire extinguish appears to be well serviced and properly documented. Even though OFP appears to be one of only a few companies on Oahu that services extinguishers, and maybe the only Halon provider, they need to sharpen the edge on their customer service and inventory control. Bottom line: Oahu Fire Protection needs to live up to or exceed the look and feel of their website. read more

I had to fill up a CO2 tank for my kegerator and these guys hooked me up. They would've done it on the spot, but the technician was out for the moment. No big deal, I left the tank and came back after some lunch and it was ready and waiting. Admin staff was very friendly and very willing to help. Their parking is a little driveway right the left of the store as you face the store. If you're using a GPS, I suggest you use the address once you get close as there are a lot of different businesses close and mine was confused. $20 for a 5lb tank, good deal.
