Got my favorite tsunami (white bean) mochi and saw a matcha butter mochi that I just had to try. The mochi had good texture and the flavors were good. The matcha in the butter mochi is delicate. Everything in the shop has good presentation and all the mochi is packaged in cute little containers. There are other Japanese snacks and cute stickers you can get there also. The ube manju was a special offering for the upcoming Okinawan Festival, and it was really good -- flaky outside with ube paste inside. The filling was quite dry, though I'm not sure if that's intentional. Still delicious, but definitely have a drink nearby The peanut butter mochi is apparently their most popular mochi, so we had to try it. The mochi itself was quite good: a nice chew without being overly chewy, with good texture and taste. The peanut butter filling was where it lost us. It was essentially smooth Skippy with crushed peanuts mixed in. Nothing wrong with that, but I was expecting something a little more distinctive or homemade The service was excellent. While we were looking around, they offered us samples of some of their packaged snacks without us asking. It reminded me a lot of the customer service you get in Japan: attentive, generous, and focused on the small details

I've attempted to contact them multiple times. they have either not responded, or told me they were being shipped but refuse to give me answers or even a simple tracking number. I understand shipments can get lost or things happening, and love small businesses and am happy to work through hick-ups to be patient. But they refuse to even provide me a tracking number for the shipment which makes me fear that they are not going to ship my jars and have just stolen my money. This is the least professional business I've ever worked with. I would take your business elsewhere. We spoke to a different farm while there who said that these guys stole their products anyways so maybe try the originals instead. I hate writing bad reviews, but don't want others to get duped

Peter's a beekeeper too. Issue: I came home to several bees interested in my electrical meter. We didn't have a cover over it cause HECO gave us a larger meter and told us to cut a bigger hole in our wood cover (like I own a hacksaw!) . It was the first time I've seen live bees in our neighborhood unless they're dying... so I was a little freaked that maybe they'd gotten into the electrical stuff or wall. Peter came down after I texted him some photos of the situation. He opened the panel - thankfully, NO hive (I was relieved). But Peter said they were scout bees looking for a new home for their Queen to nest (apparently a Queen can lay 2K-3K eggs in ONE day alone and it can get crowded) Peter said they'd be back -likely within a day- with a swarm because they move fast. This was good to know! So he plugged all the entry points up. He recut our old cover to fit over the meter and caulked all entry points. He also let me know I could make a natural mixture to deter them from returning! Like many reviews here, learning this bee info from Peter was fascinating. I was asking a lot of questions. Before he left, he gave me a honeycomb he got from his last job. Eating honey from a backyard honeycomb was lightly sweet and incredibly delicious. SAVE THE BEES, Do not kill them- relocate them instead. =D Highly recommend

I got a referral from a beekeeping group on Facebook to Honey Bee Rescue. Peter came over within a short time and did a very thorough examination of the premises while providing me with information on bees and their behavior. I wasn't expecting to learn so much! He was so friendly and really calmed the nerves of this freaked out person. Unfortunately, the Queen is not in the "bee box" he set up so it looks like it there are more bee battles that have to be done. Again, the upcoming process was explained in detail so I feel reassured about what is yet to come. Thank you Peter!
