The smell of something incredibly yummy lured me in and I found out it was the WAFFLE HONEY candle!!! I hate myself now, I should have purchased it when I was thinking of it, because now I have to drive back to Waikiki to get one! I was thinking $32.00 was a lot for a candle, but technically now it's going to cost more because I have to drive back there and spend more gas money and time...next time, if you want something here, you should just BUY IT! I also wanted to try the ice creams but we were walking around Waikiki and it would have melted. Looking back, I should have just bought it and ate it right there, doh!!! I did not leave empty-handed, however, I did purchase the lavender honey which was INCREDIBLE as I love flower-scented and flower-flavored items, and that's why I know in my past life I must have been an insect of some sort. Bee Kind! Love the story behind the locally sourced honey. So interesting to learn about how the seasonal flowers change the flavors from spring to summer to fall. Samples are available. Hi-ya! You know I didn't think we would rate a honey store, but the Hawaiian honey was pleasantly tasty. We ended up getting 3 carry on sized for about 30ish dollars. Maybe a bit pricey, but the jalapeño flavor honey was nice. The employee was really polite, kind and helpful. She was patient--and we felt good about our purchase. Overall can't say everything was memorable, but the employee was so good about helping us--we came very satisfied. read more

I was in Oahu for my honeymoon. I happened to walk past this store and the smell is what brought me in. It smells sooo good and I was thinking there is no way this is just coming from honey. To my surprise, this place sells more than just honey. They also offer body whips. I am such a fan of body butter, but never really tried body whips. The Ingredients are pretty simple and the texture is lovely. It goes on very smooth, not too thick, and the smell lasts a while. There were quite a few options to choose for both my husband and myself. I couldn't decide on just one scent, so I bought 4 tubes. The only downside is that these are pretty small tubes. The good news is, a lot goes a long way. If you're looking for a full body wipe down, you will definitely need a lot. But I usually just use these for scents. So, I only have to put a little on my wrists, elbows, and/or neck. read more

EDITED: After reading the response, now I am very glad I did not purchase any honey. Aloun Farms uses pesticides on their crops and pesticides poison bees and gets into the honey! I was sooo looking forward to this store. I went down to Waikiki just to check it out. I don't get a sitter often so I was so excited. It was very tiny, but cute. There were several repeat decorations so I assumed they were for sale, but none of what I was interested in was actually for sale! Weird. And the sales gal couldn't answer almost any of my questions about the honey, products, farm, etc. I guess she wasn't properly trained??? She was nice though. Just clueless about honey and bee farming. Actually, some of the little knowledge she shared with me made it sound like all the honey wasn't even local so I ended up not buying any of the products after all. Such a disappointment. Their honey is amazing! Our favorite is Mililani. You can definitely taste the difference between the different honey they harvest from different hives throughout the island. Beyond their honey selection, Brittany and Justin are wonderful with their community service. For the past three years they have (or their amazing manager Jeremyah or volunteer Matt) came to our Head Start preschool to educate our children on bees. Our kids have loved emerging themselves into the life of a beekeeper and the lessons they've learned from Justin, Brittany, Jeremyah and Matt have supplemented our lessons on gardening/insects with more hands-on and rich and relevant learning. read more

Since staying at the hotel right above this location, I was hypnotized by the scents of fresh honey daily! Since it was a busier time, it wasn't until the last day that I finally stepped foot in here. As soon as I walked in, I was entranced by the scented candles that diffused the whole room toward the front entrance! Miles greeted me warmly, and was very attentive throughout my shopping experience. I was offered samples of each honey I had asked about, and his expert opinion really solidified my decision making. Unfortunately, I had visited the shop at the end of the day, making some inventory unavailable (Ex. I wanted a glass honey bear of Northshore, but it sold out. Along with the hibiscus honey which was available in travel size or the largest size) I ended up leaving with a pourable North Shore and two travel size hibiscus honeys. I wish I had purchased the lotions because they were so smooth and hydrating - but I ended up falling in love with the honey so I opted for just that! I was told the inventory in store would be available online, but to my disappointment, not everything is available online (and I just sent an inquiry about this - so fingers crossed it's answered!) Had I known this was the case, I would've bought a bit more but it was so disappointing because I'm not a local and can't enjoy this honey goodness at home! I hope you guys restock on your site (the inventory that is available) and include the hibiscus honey - it was such a hit and I'm nearly out of it! This is where it falls a star short of perfect. Aside, this place does honey in a way that can make anyone who isn't a fan in love with the taste. I've been more of an agave person up until this location, it's far and few you find an amazing business that is committed to quality, giving back, and have an authentic taste (with little plastic waste as well!) Some honeys are too sweet for my liking, but this was absolutely perfect. I couldn't believe I was buying as much honey as I had, but it is definitely something to write home about. After days of passing by this location, I'm so glad I finally entered. I initially came to get a gift for a friend, but ended up leaving with just treats for myself! If you're curious - don't wait too long like I did, and maybe get a checked in bag for home so you can bring the quality of Oahu honey back home! You won't regret it at all. read more

They are know for there Hand made and organically grown Honey from Hawaii . Julie ( Sales associate ) is so friendly and knowledgeable about all the products in the store . I was shopping during Christmas for those Unique gifts and I love the Oahu Honey Company store . They also have beautiful aromatic candles and beautiful aromatic sugar scrubs with such vibrant colors . I've bought the Honey sugar scrubs as gifts as well as for myself . They are a locally owned and operated local business . After I've made each of my purchase . The Oahu Honey Company always includes a small complimentary gift from their store . Such a special surprise . The associates are so friendly and knowledgeable . I highly recommend visiting the Oahu Honey Company store for that unique gifts and wonderful and pleasant service .
