Their puff rice snack is absolutely delicious... so light and crunchy and just the right amount of sweetness. I'm so glad I got the information from the young lady at the booth. I tried the one with the macadamia nuts while I was at the center and loved it, so that's what I mostly purchased, but I also got a bag of the one with the ginger. These are packaged so nicely that I'm going to include them in the Christmas gift bags I give out for the holidays to some well deserving friends. Each bag was only $8 at their factory (was $8.50 at the center). I've seen them for sale at Don Quixote for $10.50 a bag, so I feel like I got a bargain. On top of that, they gave me a great little reuseable shopping bag in which to carry my purchase. At the factory, you can see them making batches of these wonderful treats. They were kind enough to let me take pictures of them at work. The yummy smells floated through the air. Along with the bags I purchased, the young lady threw in a bunch of different flavor sample packages, too. Maybe this will help me decide which flavors of these amazing semi-sweet snacks I'll purchase next time! Yummy!!

Got the order confirmed and I wanted to pick it up in Sept at the Sunday market at castle. At the end of August, I was told my order was being fulfilled (about 4 days before my pick up date). Comes to the pick up date, and the people working the booth told me that didn't have my order. They called the office. Then I was told that my order was supposed to be picked up the day before (at a Saturday market). I told them what my emails said which was confirmed to be picked up on that Sunday. The workers mentioned that the office prob got my emails late and thought k was picking it up on a Saturday. I told them no because the emails are from weeks ago and the office confirmed it early and confirmed a few days ago that they were filling my order. They call the office again. Then tells me that they have my order at the booth but no labels. Confusing because if my order "was supposed to be picked up the day before" why isn't there labels on the jars and why didn't the workers tell me when I got there that my order wasn't there? If and big if (benefit of the doubt) my order was forgotten about, I would've felt better by having them tell me "I messed up and didn't have your order ready, I'm sorry" versus giving me odd reasons that don't add up. They told me that they could drop the labels off to me or mail it. I opted to have it mailed since there is still days before my wedding (a wee less than two weeks which is more than enough for mail to get delivered to an address on the same island). And since a few days ago, we still didn't receive our labels so we have to pivot and figure out our own labels for our favors. Out of my order, one jar was cracked and leaking, and two other jars weren't closed properly and had ants in the honey, the two boxes that the jars were in had dead ants in the box. Grateful that the market workers gave me a few extra jars because if they didn't, I would've been short. I had to clean each jar extra good and not reuse the original box due to honey leakage and dead ants. Communication and execution could've been better. Grateful for what they do for the bees though.

They have an assortment of treats such as macadamia nut shortbread cookies dipped in various chocolates, brownies, rocky road chocolates, macadamia nut chocolates, pineapple manju, chocolate mints and cute gift sets as well. I have a relative that needs to watch her sugar intake and they have excellent no sugar added brownies, cookies and macadamia nut chocolates. For myself, I love everything here but my favorites are the dark and milk chocolate dipped shortbread cookies and macadamia nut chocolates. These are fantastic gifts to buy if visiting the islands. i buy treats from here to bring as gifts when visiting folks outside of Hawaii and often buy them for myself to eat!

They are moving to a new location on Republican street and will be sharing space with the Hawaiian Chip Co. location. Menehune Mac products are a cut above other local offerings. Case in point is their dark chocolate. They use a high grade chocolate that comes out of northern CA called Guittard. If you have ever tried their dark chocolate products and compared it with the competition there is no comparison. The Menehune Mac offerings are clearly better tasting. They offer a host of other delicious products such as party mixes, chocolate arare, Mac nut candies in different flavors. Lots of logo items too with their signature Menehune mascot- great branding. What a wonderful find this place is. They have a variety of food items in their store. And it's not a place for just tourists either. They had cookies, party mix, macadamia boxes, and even single macadamia nuts. I even saw some jams in there. I really like that there are tasting containers for practically everything in there. I wanted to try their lilikoi bars and there was a containers with free samples. Of course my hungry little daughter was with me and she was eyeing me when I had a sample so I had to give her a piece. Her response when she ate it "Mmmm." Haha, and then she said "more". I got some of their snack pack cookies and I got a few pieces of their macadamia nuts. One was a strawberry creme macadamia nut and the other was an orange creme macadamia nut. They were each 80 cents each. Good deal. It tasted pretty good, kind of like ice cream. You can also make your own box of your own favorite flavors. I heard there's a tour of how they make the chocolate and I would love to see that the next time I come. This place would be a great place to get snacks for people and maybe some Christmas gifts.
