    Texas sirloin

Came here for my dads birthday. Service was good and the place was clean. We were seated by the fire place was a nice place for a bigger group. Ordered my kids chicken and fries right away which came very quickly (thank you!). The sirloin was okay- I wasn't crazy about the size of the sides. But over well the food was good.

Thumbs up for a good burger.

Came here for lunch today, and honestly, I'd say this place is worth visiting! I ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger and requested the beef to be cooked to medium rare. I also ordered a side of fries, and overall, everything tasted great! The burger meat was cooked perfectly, and was juicy with good seasoning, while the bacon was crispy, smoky, and delicious. The pickles were fresh, and added great acidity to the burger, which nicely complemented the smoky flavor of the bacon and made the other textures and flavors in the burger shine. The bbq sauce on it tasted really good too. Overall, it was a good burger! However, the fries were also pretty good apart from some of them being burnt and the service was great while the restaurant was clean too! Very good experience!

The hot Mac n cheese melted their styrofoam cups

It's been a while since I've eaten here but I remember it being decent, well it's now the pits. The food was bland, no taste, tough/dry and the container they put the Mac n cheese in melted right through so it was some chemical toxic cheese. Won't return, not sure how they stay in business with those prices and the quality. The only thing decent was key lime pie and it prob came from Slices.

Came here recently to celebrate a family birthday. Not overly busy on a mid-week night so we were seated promptly and drink orders were taken. Soon after, a loaf of warm bread arrived for us to munch on while we waited for salads and main courses to arrive. I ordered the chicken scaloppini which came with two sides. The chicken breasts were lightly breaded and sauteed. the dish was tangy due to the white wine and lemon sauce, but could have used more capers and artichoke hearts. I chose the wild rice and grilled asparagus as sides...both were tasty, especially the fresh asparagus which had a wonderful smoky taste due to being finished on the grill. A very decent meal, with attentive service and a nice atmosphere.

The server's attitude ruined our dining experience, but the food was nothing to write home about either.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Portions seemed designed to encourage dieting. Service was adequate.

What makes Scratch's French toast so good is that they don't use plain old white bread for it. Instead, they use sweet bread pudding, which makes for an utterly decadent and delicious breakfast. The pieces of bread pudding had crisp edges while being soft on the inside. They were topped with sliced bananas and a rich bourbon caramel sauce, and served with maple syrup infused whipped cream that was almost practically ice cream. The French toast also comes with your choice of sausage or pork belly. I opted for the sausage patties, which were tasty and homemade. I also ordered the orange juice ($4.50) and home fries ($3.75). The home fries were delicious. Crispy potato chunks that were the right amount of salty. Between the French toast and home fries, I left stuffed. Service was also great. My server was very friendly and welcoming, and came to check on me a couple of times. Notes - it's a small place with a couple of tables, but I was able to take a seat right away on a Friday morning. Every table comes with 2 bottles of hot sauce - a red sauce and green sauce. You pay at the cash register after you get your check.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.
