Came here for lunch today, and honestly, I'd say this place is worth visiting! I ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger and requested the beef to be cooked to medium rare. I also ordered a side of fries, and overall, everything tasted great! The burger meat was cooked perfectly, and was juicy with good seasoning, while the bacon was crispy, smoky, and delicious. The pickles were fresh, and added great acidity to the burger, which nicely complemented the smoky flavor of the bacon and made the other textures and flavors in the burger shine. The bbq sauce on it tasted really good too. Overall, it was a good burger! Sounds good, however the stuffing was more like bread stuffing, absolutely no crab. Disappointing, not very flavorful. My husband and I both ordered the Hickory Smoked Prime Rib 12oz served with a baked potato and choice of vegetable. We each opted to have a salad versus vegetable, which an upcharge occurred. Salad was okay, the prime rib was lightly smoked, not too overpowering, which I liked, however very salty. Baked potato, mine was hard inside, not fluffy, with the outside skin burnt in areas. My husband said his was good. We ordered the Keylime pie, which he enjoyed, however a very small portion, not shareable, for the price. The service was very good, waitress attentive, friendly, and informative. Came here recently to celebrate a family birthday. Not overly busy on a mid-week night so we were seated promptly and drink orders were taken. Soon after, a loaf of warm bread arrived for us to munch on while we waited for salads and main courses to arrive. I ordered the chicken scaloppini which came with two sides. The chicken breasts were lightly breaded and sauteed. the dish was tangy due to the white wine and lemon sauce, but could have used more capers and artichoke hearts. I chose the wild rice and grilled asparagus as sides...both were tasty, especially the fresh asparagus which had a wonderful smoky taste due to being finished on the grill. She was quick and efficient. I ordered the prime rib which was their special. I was 100% disappointed with it. There was absolutely nothing special about it and it was quite flavorless. I would never order it again. My husband purchased a porterhouse steak. I tasted a steak it was amazing compared to my prime rib. I would totally get that in the future. Hidden in the back plaza of a grocery store, this wood fire grille is great for their lunch time specials. From the second I walked in the waiting staff was on point to make sure that my water was never empty and that everything that was ordered came out in a timely manner. With every table that was full, I was skeptical that the wait time for food was going to be a while. Within 15-20 minutes of waiting our entire table got their food. I got the Cobb salad. The blue cheese dressing was thick and full of blue cheese chunks, which is exactly what I look for in a dressing. The salad was loaded with thinly sliced chicken which made it very easy to eat with the rest of the salad. The salad came with a carrot cake muffin which was to die for! The texture of the warm, savory muffin was soft and full of great flavor. If you're looking for a quick lunch during a busy work week or a nice meal with your family I would recommend giving this grille a try. The staff are nice and welcoming. The food was quick and good. Overall: I would give this a 3.5/5 if I could but due to the welcoming staff I would round up to 4/5. read more

We have been here three times in the last 6 weeks on a weekend night. We made a mistake by sitting at the bar while waiting for a table, never again. The female bartender tender was curt perhaps she was overwhelmed but that's the restaurant business. Our other dinners were great. Our server has been there since the restaurant opened and was an absolute delight. He had great recommendations and made sure our dinners were properly prepared. I always try to visit a restaurant at least twice before reviewing it on Yelp. We had the opportunity to visit Austin's in Brecksville, Ohio for brunch in March and again for dinner in April of 2018. We thoroughly enjoyed each of our visits! The aroma of the wood-burning oven that permeates the parking lot is tantalizing! The interior is surprisingly uplifting even though the decor is rustic. We ate brunch next to a stone fireplace that might grace the wall of a ski lodge in Vail, Colorado. Framed cigar labels and antique fishing baskets further enforced the masculinity of the restaurant. We enjoyed spicy bacon bloody marys and craft beers during our brunch visit. Our waitress was lovely and she let us visit with each other prior to ordering. I had the Steak and Eggs with scrambled eggs and it was amazing! I prefer my steak rare (raw) and my breakfast did not disappoint. The entire meal was enjoyable! Others in our party enjoyed sunny-side up (dippin') eggs and Breakfast Club sandwiches. The craft beers here are delicious (as our male-counterparts can attest to). We LOVED Austin's so much that we made reservations for a Saturday night after the Temptations/Four Tops concert at the Hard Rock. One of our friends is gluten intolerant and she found several gluten-free options on the menu. The burgers are EXCELLENT! We love this place and look forward to our next visit! read more

We had reservations for 8 people for New Year's Eve. I normally shy away from big groups and restaurants on New Year's Eve as it makes for a stressful experience. But at Austin's, it wasn't like this at all. Great service at the bar from Carmen and Jaime...they effortlessly poured drinks and kept us all properly refreshed. We then went to our table...nice jazz duo was playing music in the dining room...we ordered appetizers. The calamari were crisp but not greasy. On to dinner...wow, they didn't jack up the prices for New Year's! I had the New York strip, perfectly cooked, with Broccoli and baked potato. My wife had the scallop special...she got the last one, it was a popular dish. One friend had crab stuffed filet of Sole..she loved it. Theresa gave us excellent service. I was impressed by all of the staff, they were calm, collected, and efficient. This place was packed but we never felt rushed. We went here suggested by a visitor tot he office. The space is decorated in a 2000's Italian feel. Roomy without the tables on top of each other, I am a tall dude and this is a huge benefit to me. Not the most exciting location (in a strip mall), though easy to get to from the highway. I think the place wants to be white linen tablecloth but isn't quite there yet. I haven't been here in about 10 plus years and wanted to go out for a nice valentines weekend dinner with my wife. I make reservations a week ahead of time to lock in a spot for us, we showed up a few (3-5) minutes early for our reservation time and there were a few couples waiting when we walked in. I spoke to the hostess and let her know of our reservation and she told us it would be a few minutes to clear our table, after 20 minutes I was getting a little irritated so my wife went back to the hostess station and reminded them we were STILL waiting. Only after that a couple that arrived after us was sat then us. They put us right next to the door luck of the draw I guess so every time someone came or left we got the nice cold February breeze, so we saw another table leaving and I got up to ask the hostess if we would be able to move tables because it was very cold at our table. She had a terrible attitude and said " you'll have to ask so&so" uh ok? So the manager apparently was the person to ask and he was very friendly and willing to accommodate our request, so we did move and after that the night did get better. Our waiter was very nice hard to hear because of the mask he has to wear but he did a great job for us, the food was good I'd compare it to a national steakhouse chain wasn't WOWED by the least but was good and ticket time was very fast for a Saturday night on Valentine's Day weekend. Good enough brunch that I will be back for happy hour and possibly dinner. We came to Austin's for brunch on a rainy, cold Sunday. We arrived around 11:30am and it must be a later lunch crowd. We sat at a table and were quickly and politely greeted by our server. Started off with a couple Bacon Bloody Marys and they were delicious. The whole pickle spear is exactly what it needed. Great mix too; we didn't get a chance to ask if it was house made. The brunch menu is diverse enough and includes a list of different Eggs Benedict. The wife went with spinach eggs Benedict and while it was good, it wasn't in the top 10 of all time. I went with the Huevos Quesadilla and it was a good choice. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was adequate, and came with a side of sour cream and salsa. It did have massive jalapeños on it, which I loved, and thought it made the dish, but some people might not feel that way. It was also massive. I can tell you that we didn't receive the raw piece of chicken that's the main photo on this Yelp page. read more

No surprise really from a wood fire grille, but when you walk in the front door, the very first thing you notice is the smoke smell. Not overpowering, just like the neighbor is grilling out, and you want some of that! Our waiter, Jessie, was incredibly attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and very sweet to our son. On Jessie's recommendation, I had a cup of chorizo vegetable soup, which was the soup of the day. My wife had the French onion soup. The Chorizo soup was very thick, flavorful, creamy, and a bit spicy. Great soup for a cold winters day. I had just one bite of my wife's soup. Very flavorful broth, nicely caramelized onions, melt cheese. I regret to say I did not manage to steal a bite of the bread on top, but she said it was good! We both orders burgers with steak fries. My burger was cooked to perfection, juicy, pink in the middle, slightly charred from the wood grill. The brioche bun was a nice touch. The fries were basically big potato wedges, and they added Parmesan to them instead of salt. Slight critique, probably could have used a little salt too, but they were crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle, so no real complaints! Pretty good meal, and it makes us wonder what their other food is like. If we are in the area, we would definitely stop by again! read more

Stopped by on a random weeknight and it happened to be BOGO Ribs night. The waiter was nice enough to have the kitchen split the order on 2 plates and we ordered 2 carb sides so hubby got his fries and I got mine. Started with 2 cups of soup. The chowder was super creamy and the french onion was a nice beefy balance without too much salt. The bread cutting board was served with a chewy Italian and sweet mini cornbread cupcakes. If you aren't used to southern cornbread it is a bit shocking... and adding butter would be overkill... but they were moist and tasty. Forgot to take pictures of the ribs they were gone so fast. Fall off the bone good. Would order again... and $19 for a full rack is a good deal... would not buy at twice that price on any other day. There were only 2 other parties in the restaurant and the bar was not even half full and the place was oddly loud. Agree with others that the prices seem rather high, but they have a set daily special listed on their website so you could plan ahead and get a decent deal. read more
