    Twister Mac and Cheese

The Mac and cheese prepared by Eric is some of the best I've ever had! You can tell he cares about the food that comes out of his kitchen! The bar staff is so friendly and definitely makes this place feel welcoming! The music is always great and the karaoke on Wednesday's makes this place a great hangout! Highly recommended!

    Specialty Pizza

My first time here and I was very impressed. I think it may be the best kept secret in the Nordonia Hills area. The pizza was off the hook! Homemade dough and fresh ingredients. I think probably the best pizza in the area. Very chill patio area and awesome bistro as well as live music venue in the back. The drinks were amazing too. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!

The Irish coffees are next level! I ordered the Spiced Irish Coffee and the Sweeney's Best. I was going to stop at one beverage but the super warm and friendly server talked me into trying a second beverage, and I'm so glad that he was so convincing! Considering the amount of people there that day, our server was very attentive and definitely hustling. I ordered a Corned Beef Sandwich, and my friend ordered a Turkey Reuben. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and I especially liked the horseradish that came with my meal, and I typically dislike horseradish! Last but not least, they had plenty of live entertainment which included a bagpiper!!! How cool is that? I will definitely be back for the holiday next year and plan on getting there even sooner than that!!

They could do with dimming the lighting a little bit to give it a more aithentic public house feel. The menu is fairly diverse and stereotypically Irish with funny names for food items like Kieran's quesadillas and Irish eggrolls. I will admit that I have probably only had five or six different menu items, including the shepherds pie, fish and chips, and schnitzel. The shepherds pie was passable. The schnitzel was soggy and not particularly tasty. The fish and chips is OK (I've had it several times) but I do not care for the batter they use at all. It is not even close to an authentic beer batter like you would find in Ireland or the UK. The flavor is neutral, and usually some sections of the batter become exceptionally hard for some reason. I do frequently attend their Thursday night trivia which is a lot of fun. All in all, I feel like Mavis Winkle's could be doing a lot of things a lot better but I guess it is passible for a little town like Twinsburg.

We've been going to your restaurant since the first week it opened and up until last week (Feb 2026). Your fries are consistently, terrible. My husband is gluten free for medical reasons. When he ordered, he specifically confirmed that everything, including his beer, was gluten free. Despite that, the bartender served him a beer that was not gluten free. When we pointed it out, the bartender simply said, "Sorry about that, I'm new here. I don't know that stuff." A dietary restriction like gluten isn't something staff can afford to guess about. If you're unsure, you should ask someone before serving a customer. The shift leader's response made the situation even worse. She rolled her eyes, seemed annoyed that she was called over, and said, "Okay... sorry. I'll take the beer off." There was no genuine concern that a customer had been served something they specifically asked to avoid. The manager eventually came over and apologized, saying that he needed to better educate his staff and that the mistake was ultimately his responsibility. However, after a frustrating discussion, he told us he would comp our meals, but that we needed to "take care of my staff," even though neither employee involved offered a sincere apology or accepted responsibility for the mistake. Mistakes happen. What matters is how they're handled. Serving someone the exact item they asked you to avoid, then responding with indifference and expecting the customer to reward poor service, is unacceptable. If your restaurant advertises gluten free options, your staff should be properly trained on what is and is not gluten free. This experience left us with very little confidence that dietary restrictions are taken seriously here.

We were very glad that we chose Creekside - the service was super friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend had the lunch portion of the pecan chicken and found it to be a generous amount - they allowed her to sub in different sides too. We sat in the bar area as we didn't have a reservation on a busy Saturday night but we didn't have to wait at all! Our server Jack gave excellent recommendations with fast and friendly service! The whiskey glaze was so light on the salmon for the perfect touch of sweetness, not like those heavy syrupy glazes at some restaurants. I was able to substitute one of my sides for green beans that were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The short ribs were fork tender and bursting with flavor. We will absolutely be back! I definitely will make a reservation to have a water view next time! Plenty of parking available in the shared lot. "Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

The prices were astronomical so my daughter and I just ordered meatballs and potato wedges. I really wanted fish but there was only ONE fish dish on the menu and I didn't like how it was going to be prepared. There's a big disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says "no substitutions or modifications". Geez, for a $40 fish plate you couldn't have modified it for me?? The meatballs were good, but came out luke warm. The wedges were good. The atmosphere was nice. For 3 meatballs, 5 potato wedges, and a 15% tip (she lost 5% due to not asking us for drinks) our bill came to $45. I *wish* I was joking. We won't be back. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off.
