"You never have a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression." My first visit here was disappointing. One one sandwich meal took 40 minutes after ordering. Our server said that a large group came in just ahead of us and backed up the kitchen. She comp'd the two beers without my asking so, I won't downgrade them. Another brewery to check out. This place is beautiful. Enormous space. Great outdoor patio. Garage doors open up. Super high ceilings. Great staff. The waiter Ben was very knowledgable of the beers on Tap, and was very professional in always asking if we needed something. Great place for birthday parties or a nice night with friends. The beer choices honestly weren't my favorites, however my wife and friends enjoyed their choices. The food though... that was unreal. The pizza was delicious. The Brie was interesting. We have been having the best experiences every time we return to Richfield Brewing lately! Phenomenal service (we love Marissa!) and the owner Mike is so kind and gracious to his customers. I love how many gluten free options they have. The pizza is the best around - so so so good and crispy crust which is so hard to get these days for some reason!! I had the best gluten free Ruben last week - delicious. We love popping in for a drink or dinner. Can't wait til the patio opens for the season. Our fav spot to enjoy the weather! read more

Ordered Buffalo wings, solid but no Buffalo sauce! Burger, medium with fries + a Cobb salad w/ chicken.... What was served was a piece of well done charcoal + ice cold fries! Went with a large group to Richfield Brewing. The food came out fast and was really good, and our server stayed attentive throughout the meal. The only hiccup was with the checks--separate checks weren't asked about up front, and splitting them at the end turned into a bit of a mess. German Brewery located in a brand new building. Lots of parking, clean interior and restrooms. Limited beer selection, but mostly to be expected with a german brewery. The hefe was easy drinking and not overly banana / bubblegummy. Looks like they have a fair share of food. We didn't have time to grab anything but everything coming out of the kitchen looked good. Service was a bit confusing if you were not there to eat. Normally you would find the bar, but there wasn't one (seating wise). There was a table across from the bar that appeared to be a space for people to sit with just drinks, but it was unclear whether or not we were supposed to order at the bar or if someone was supposed to come to us. It would have been nice to be directed or have some sort of signage. read more

Was on the fence between 4-5 stars, then I had the Elvis ice cream. Wow! Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Took a bit for our party of 8 to get seated, then it took forever to get our first round of beers. However, the service vastly improved thereafter. All the TVs were on some nature/fire place channel. Asked the hostess if they could get CBS on one, and she said to ask our server. Asked our server, who then had to ask the manager. I asked if I could help move the satellite dish, as this seemed to be a big deal. Turns out, no one knew how to work the remote control. Eventually, they got it right and only 1 minute had ticked off the clock of the game I wanted to watch. Started with a couple of pretzels. Had the cheese, mustard and some crazy frosting thing for dipping. All were very good. I ordered the Ruben. It came with some crazy pink sauce. Not sure exactly what that was, but the sandwich was good. Fries were battered, not my fav. My daughter got the burger with macaroni salad. I'm not a macaroni salad fan, but this stuff was cut with dill and outstanding. We had a couple of chicken & waffles. Waffles were good, chicken was weird. Almost like a crab cake. Pretty sure it was a mix of white and dark meat. Not the best, though the burgers were good. For desert I ordered the ice cream sundae that is modeled after something Elvis liked. Peanut butter cookies, caramel sauce, bacon (yes, bacon on ice cream) and marshmallow whip. It was actually really, really good. This place would be fun in the summer, when the garage doors are open and the patio is open. Otherwise, the inside is just a couple of big rooms, almost like the Hofbrau Haus. read more

A wonderful staff. They stepped me through samples of their most popular brews. Although I did not eat, their menu looked scrumptious as did the plates coming out of the kitchen. We headed to Richfield excited to try a new brewery last Friday. We missed the parking lot on the first pass (go left towards the library) and then walked in and were surprised to see the large, beautiful restaurant before us. The bar at the front is small and does not have normal bar seating. (There's one large table near the bar.) The list of draft beers is short and is heavy on German style beers that are better suited to a hot summer day. The cherry ale looked good - beautiful color - but tasted like a tart cider. We tried a couple other beers and none really stood out. The dinner menu looks quite varied and delicious so we'll come back to eat sometime, but not for a brewery outing. read more

Really enjoyed our first visit. Mostly because it was so out of the ordinary. Unexpected. Packed on a Saturday in August and all the staff were working hard. Ordered a beer at the bar and sat at the long table with everyone else waiting for a table. It only took about 15 minutes for the two of us to be seated. Sitting outside on the patio was a real treat. Our waitress was very attentive, pleasant, and professional. We started with their version of charcuterie which was good and different from the usual meat and cheese. The roasted garlic was a nice touch. We split the happy burger and were fortunate to think of adding crispy bacon because it needed the crunch. Lettuce and tomatoes were scant and soggy, and bun was good but not able to stand up to the burger's medium rare juiciness. (We were surprised that the burger didn't seem like it was made by the kitchen - it was the heavily pressed kind you'd find the the Acme frozen section.) It was delicious but messy, nothing interesting or memorable. The fries that came with the burger are breaded or double fried or something like that and delicious. Portion was large! Our waitress suggested the ambrosia cheesecake and it was by far the weirdest dessert I've ever had. Imagine a small round cheese cakecake with a delicious brulee top (9/10), topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream (10/10), large shreds of toasted coconut (8/10) and surrounded by grilled pineapple, maraschino cherries, and a healthy dose of rum. I think the pineapple was also pre-soaked in rum. (6/10 because no one needs more than one marashine cherry and the rum overpowered everything.) Strange. Interesting. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I order it again? Nope. So all in all, a quirky first meal that tasted good. We'll be back. read more

First visit to the much anticipated Richfield Brewing Company. We are craft beer fanatics, and very excited to support a new local brewery. However, I'm not sure I would consider this a brewery, but rather an upscale restaurant that has brewing capabilities. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers prior to heading out for the evening and were stunned to find NO BAR. Odd. The tap list had 4 beers, so we ordered a flight of all four. Felt as though the beers lacked any real flavor profile and depth, just kinda fell flat for us. We did not try any food but our neighboring tables all had large, delicious looking portions. I've been wanting to try this place since I heard it opened. It did not disappoint!!! It's stunning on the inside and I will be back to enjoy the outside when the weather breaks. The Patriot Porter was better than I expected. It had a delightful raspberry finish that tasted of a fresh raspberry. The Roadhouse Pretzel was just the right blend of crispy outside and soft chewy inside. I couldn't decide if I preferred the cheese or mustard. I had a hard time deciding what to order for an entree and the server recommended the Chicken Casablanca. I'm glad I listened. I'm not a huge beer fan, but I'm always around for the food. I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more, but there were so many options on the menu that I didn't have a chance to try. I also have a deadly nut allergy, so I was happy to hear that the kitchen was cautious with cross contamination. And something that caught my eye was the Kimchi dishes. I'm half Korean, and I normally don't mix cuisines much, but when I return, I will be brave and be open minded! The flavor profiles did not feel extremely accurate and the menu felt a little bit all over the place. Hubby and I have been wanting to stop in here and try the food and the beer. We stopped in today I got a flight which consisted of 4 beers. Hubby got the Hefeweizen which I did get also in my flight. The beer was good but we have had better. Some of the beer didn't have a lot of flavor. We wanted to split a dish but we couldn't decide on 1 that we would both eat. So we ended up just getting our own appetizer. I got the pretzel which was good but I thought was overpriced for what it was. Hubby got the loaded fries which was decently sized and I feel was more worth it than the other apps. I was going to try the wings but it was an 8 count for $16 which I felt was expensive. The waitress was nice and attentive. The space is gorgeous and very open. If you look up into the beams they have metal bats hanging which was cool. I wanted to live this place. Here's the deal...the menu was created by a genius the description of the meals are mouth watering. The execution, not so much. The chef and kitchen do not do the meals very much justice painting the picture as advertised. We had the meatball appetizer which was not bad but not great either. Now for the chicken. My wife ordered a couple chicken leg/thighs over some veggies if I remember right. I ordered the chicken wings for my main meal. The first wing I bit into tasted off, like freezer burnt. The wings must be baked? They were rubbery and the texture was just off. I tried my wife's chicken and it was bad. She finish about 30% of it and had it boxed. It didn't taste good at all. The good. Wait staff was on point and it's a beautiful building. Question-what's up with having all the tvs and only playing a still pic of a lake or waterfall? It's odd. Meal-2 Waitstaff-5 I wish we would have had a non-chicken dish so I could offer a better review but I don't think we will be back. Got some bread pudding as desert. I was looking for 2 good visit experiences and granting some grace for potential growing pains...i was disappointed. The staff on visit one were excellent--visit two had our waitress then become the bartender and then we bounced through various staff??? One of whom was eating from a container mere feet away from us. The ultimate insult was in asking for something more than the tiny crostini's that came with the $16 meatball--we were charged $3.00 for 2 more thin pieces without being told. First time here! At first the stark industrial interior was a turn off but when we sat down and looked around we noticed how clean everything was. The floors were freshly washed, the glassware, tables and silverware were immaculate. The menu was diverse enough to have something for everyone. We settled on the Reuben sandwich. Delicious! This is the 5th time we have been to the brewery since its opening. The ambiance is one of a nice German beer hall & for me is a draw. The service has improved over time as one wud expect from a new establishment. The food though just doesn't WOW us. This time I had the meatball, it was served warm at best. It's ok, but doesn't scream come back again. My hubby had the Hawaiian Rib special, he said they were tasty & lean, but also only warm. He said he doubted he wud order them again. In the past we have had the Happy Days burger, Reuben, & a Quesadilla they had on the menu. All ok but for the prices hard for me to go back again. We have enjoyed their brews, the Hefe reminds me of Munich. I wish their menu was more enticing. read more

We happened to stop by this brewery on our way back from Columbus (totally random "food near me" search on google maps)..and we really killed it on this one! The venue is excellent. It's spacious, clean, and very accommodating. We brought our infant twins and 13 year old and had no problems. The server was great and the food was on time (and excellent, might I add). It looks like this brewery is a great addition to the area, and we will definitely be back. Btw, the beer flight I had was one of the best I've ever encountered. Keep up the good work! read more
