We went to Oak & Stone for Happy Hour on a Wednesday. After a rough start getting seated, we were greeted at our table upstairs by Erica. She was upbeat and welcoming and was very patient explaining how the wall bar works. We had pizza and the crusted tuna sashimi, which was a little dry and lacking in flavor but the dipping sauce helped. We would definitely go back as the happy hour was a good deal and we'll sit upstairs for Erica. read more

If you are looking for a great selection of beers with an atmosphere, this is your place. The vibe in here is chill and fun and at night you can even get a view of live music outside on the green. There's an upstairs outdoor area, which I wish we would have ventured up to, but it was late at night so we stayed downstairs. I love the open air restaurant part. Being from the upper Midwest in the winter and spring time it's so great to get warm weather and sunshine. Because we only came for a late night beer, I can't comment on the food. But servers were friendly and helpful And customers were chatty and great! Besides, who doesn't love the Wellen Park area. There were so many beers on tap to choose from. I had to have a flight. I found a favorite peach beer on tap and ended up having a pint. Next time we're in town, I will definitely try the food there. Attended the soft opening Saturday evening 9/30/23. Very excited staff still competing for a spot on the team. Food was delicious and the presentation was superb. Beer selection was good and pouring your own added to the experience. Good thing they had veterans behind the bar like Melissa Poirier along with Ben & Anneliese Morris as the place was packed. Four of us went for brunch. We got there at 10 and there wasn't a wait and we were seated right away. Ambience was nice and comfortable. Lee was our server and she was excellent. I have been here many times before, and am a frequent diner member. Tonight, we got there before the crush (around 5:00). We were on the patio. Tables that came in after us were being served by waitstaff, and after 10 minutes I asked where ours was. Someone stopped by and said they would be with us soon. Then the table next to us was filled, and the waitress came and started to serve them. It had been 20 minutes by that time, so we just got up and walked out, over the objections of the waitress. I told the people seating us that we would go somewhere that appreciated our business. We had a great meal at the Florida Taphouse. Next week, our son and family will be here to visit. We usually take them to Oak and Stone. But we will now go to the Florida Taphouse. That is 7 less diners for Oak and Stone. read more

Summer the manager stopped by and chatted for quite a while. I expressed how much I love the whiskey butter! She shared that they actually sell that as well as some other specialty products. We were a party of four today at 4:00 and asked to be seated on a low table because we had our 81 year old father with us The host said the only table they had, needed to be cleaned. The host never came out front with an explanation and we were the only four people waiting. Never again. The food was outstanding--every dish we ordered was a hit. We started with the tuna sashimi appetizer, Buffalo wings, Spinach artichoke dip and chips, Philly cheesesteak rolls, and pickle fries, all of which were absolutely delicious. The pizzas were equally fantastic, with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked crusts. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Good things come to those who wait and you'll likely have to wait to get in here. If you're a beer drinker, it's definitely worth the wait. My husband has so much fun getting the beer bracelet and trying different brews. We are very fond of the crushed pretzel crusted ahi tuna appetizer and the Philly steak pizza. Everyone liked their food both times we went. The first time was extra special because we had Gabby as our server. The second time the service wasn't great, rather slow and non-attentive but the vibe of the place, the food and drinks were again worth the wait. We will definitely go back! read more
