Students can learn at their own pace at LELA which is helpful for the many people who struggle with the pacing in other environments. Unfortunately, she was recently asked to not return within 2 months of her LP or "high school" graduation, with no notice, because she challenged the owners and the failings of their educational program. She has been increasingly worried about the progress of the other learners and that the guides were not given the resources or authority to even provide a safe environment (kids throwing scissors!) much less a stable platform for education. Guides at this location do not understand what boundaries or limits they are allowed to set for the learners, as the partner owners of the school have vastly different views on how the school should be run. Future candidates beware. The sales pitch is solid, and I still believe in the Acton philosophy- but this location is dysfunctional.

With no prompting from our grandson's father, when he went to school the following Monday, the school personnel took the time to dress him up in his cap and gown, take pictures in front of the graduation backdrops, and then sent those pictures to our son for future reference and memories.
